Chapter 221: 221: The Hurricane Spear
Barenkas was getting thoroughly beaten by Nightshade’s Titan Mech, with three of his six wings broken and his dragon body riddled with deep, bloody gashes. His health had dropped to under two million.
“Hey, are you alright?” Orson said lightly, his voice carrying amusement.
Barenkas, who had been lying on the ground recovering from the damage, suddenly looked up, and a chilling sensation ran down his spine. Of course, that would have happened if he had any fur.
Furious and terrified, Barenkas glared at Orson. His reaction was almost instantaneous as he raised his dragon head and began to charge up a deadly dragon breath.
Orson’s eyes sharpened. This was an opportunity he could not miss. He clasped his hands together and muttered, “Earthquake!”
The spell expanded to three times its usual size!
A massive stone dragon erupted from the ground. Under Orson’s careful manipulation, the stone dragon twisted in the air with a cracking sound, as though a collar was tightening around the Six-Winged Inferno Dragon’s neck.
Barenkas roared in shock and fury, forcing the release of his dragon breath as he tried to break free from the stone dragon’s grip.
“Let’s try a new skill,” Orson whispered coldly, as a dark-red, chaotic hexagram appeared beneath his feet.
He calmly raised a hand, and violent wind elements quickly began to converge around him. In an instant, the air shifted, and gale-force winds began to swirl around.
A cyan spear manifested above Orson’s head. His eyes glowed with an eerie blue light, and the robe of heavenly fire rustled in the wind. Mystical cyan magic runes circled him, and a spectral female figure appeared behind him.
It was a goddess-like apparition, regal yet emanating a cold, murderous aura.
Unmatched Quentin: “No way… Magic phenomena!”
Unmatched Robert: “That person is Orgod! Who is he fighting?!”
A shock ran through the Unmatched guild members, especially the elite mages, who were shivering in fear. Only they understood what such a magical phenomenon meant. At this stage, it was practically a myth!
In Infinite Dimensions, a mage could only unlock an elemental god projection once their A-tier magic reached the maximum level, acquiring the awakening effect. Most mages were still struggling to level up C- or B-tier skills, and A-tier magic books were a luxury far beyond their reach.
“Six-Winged Inferno Dragon? How could its health be so low? Did Orgod solo it into this state?” Unmatched Robert thought, realizing he might be able to wait for both parties to fight to the death and then swoop in to pick up the spoils.
Orson noticed the Unmatched guild members arriving but ignored them. With a low shout, the world seemed to shift.
The air crackled with the sound of repeated explosive bangs, as though a giant hammer was pounding against the hearts of all players in the area.
A cyan spear flew from Orson’s hand.
A soft, ethereal voice cried out as the wind-elemental goddess projection held the spear and flew forward, the surrounding space trembling under its immense pressure.
Awakening: Hurricane Spear!
Magic amplified to double the size!
Barenkas’s expression changed dramatically. He couldn’t afford to wait for his Body Domination skill to cool down. With a furious roar, he unleashed his dragon breath again in an attempt to block the spear’s path.
However, against the speed and ferocity of wind-based awakened magic, all his efforts were in vain.
Barenkas’s fiery breath had just begun to spew out when the spear cut through the air, leaving a dazzling trail, and pierced through his massive form in an instant.
The elemental goddess vanished in a swirl of wind and left no trace behind.
Unmatched Robert: “That’s it? You showed us this?!”
“Is this what A-tier awakened magic is? It doesn’t look like much,” Quentin muttered in surprise.
The Unmatched guild members stared at each other in confusion. For a moment, they thought the spectacle wasn’t impressive at all.

Critical Hit Damage: 600,000!
Armor Removed!
Magic Resistance Removed!
At that moment, a ridiculous damage number appeared on the screen, and the Unmatched guild members froze in shock.
600,000 damage from one hit?!
“Are you kidding me?!”
“That’s insane! How is this not ‘much’?!”
Six-Winged Inferno Dragon screamed in agony as black blood poured from its gaping maw. A massive hole appeared in its chest, about one meter wide, with black blood gushing out relentlessly.
Although High-level Dragons have impressive regeneration, the grotesque and debilitating effects of this attack were too much. Its healing speed could hardly keep up with the damage.
To the Unmatched guild members, the sight of a high-tier boss being so thoroughly beaten was shocking beyond belief.
“Orgod… You will die here!” Barenkas roared as his dragon body, bloodied, broke free from the stone dragon’s restraint. With only three remaining wings, he forced himself into the air.
“Stop messing around,” Orson smirked. “I let you escape last time. This time, you won’t get another chance.”
With a wave of his staff, Orson summoned The Flame Dragon in a three-fold enhanced attack.
Barenkas widened his eyes as six fiery rocks materialized in front of him. He tried to forcefully dispel the attack.
Orson remained calm. With a simple gesture, he crushed The Flame Dragon into a cloud of fireballs, sending them hurtling toward the Six-Winged Inferno Dragon.
Burning Damage: -10,000!
Burning Damage: -10,000!
…
“This isn’t a battle we can participate in,” Quentin muttered bitterly as Unmatched Robert gripped his bow, still plotting to make trouble for Orgod.
Meanwhile, Quentin’s mount, the Phoenix-blooded Rooster, was trembling uncontrollably. This was a warbeast’s natural reaction to facing an opponent far beyond its power.
Previously, Orson’s attempt to “poach” from the guild had left Unmatched Robert visibly furious. While both sides knew they couldn’t afford to provoke each other, Robert’s resentment was palpable.
Orson glanced back and smirked. “Don’t bother, I’ve already claimed the loot.”
The Unmatched guild members exchanged puzzled glances. To them, Barenkas’s health still looked decent—around two million—was that really considered “loot”?
Unmatched Robert snarled, “Orgod, listen up! I’ll let you off this time, but next time I’ll repay this insult!”
Orson smiled, his tone playful. “Of course. Get out of here quickly. You’ll regret it if you stay any longer.”
Unmatched Robert sneered, “I admit you’re stronger than me, but on this battlefield, there are plenty of things that can deal with you!”
Orson’s smile faded, and his voice grew cold. “Whether you’re a player or a dragon, once you enter Celestial Fortress, your fate is sealed.”
With that, Crimson Lizard King reared up, letting out a powerful Destructive Breath toward Barenkas.
Destructive Breath vs. Dragon’s Breath!
The two powerful flames collided in mid-air with a tremendous boom. The fiery shockwave spread out like embers, scorching everything in its path.
Splash Damage: -5,000!
Splash Damage: -6,000!
Unmatched Robert and his companions recoiled in horror. Even the falling embers from the explosion were dealing massive damage to them.
Grinding his teeth, Robert signaled for a quick retreat.
“The lowly serpent dragon is getting stronger?” Barenkas thought to himself, a sense of dread creeping up his spine.
Though his dragon breath had the advantage in terms of raw power, the opposing undead dragon held its ground far longer than he had expected.
Knowing how troublesome Orson’s mount could be, Barenkas wisely avoided charging in headfirst, relying on his speed to get out of range.
Orson’s eyes narrowed. The elemental goddess flickered behind him as he prepared to unleash the full force of his elemental abilities.
“Awakening: Hurricane Spear.”
The magic Dragon Curse effect activated!
The goddess expanded in size, and the spear grew several times larger.
Barenkas hesitated as a terrible sense of danger flooded his senses. But before he could react, Orson threw the spear.
Barenkas’s eyes widened in alarm, and with a final cry, he fled into the distance.
“Furnace Greed’s Lord, save me!”
Barenkas screamed in desperation, hoping for the assistance of two powerful figures—The Flame Dragon’s Nest Lord and his Queen.
