Chapter 309: Chapter 307: The beginning of new role
As they stepped out of the building, the fresh breeze brushed against them. The sun was shining gently over the wide campus, and students could be seen moving from one hall to another.
Alex pointed to the building behind them. “This one we came from is called Sol,” he explained, then turned his hand to the structure connected to it. “And this one here is Luna. They’re called the Twin Halls of the Academy.”
Alexa added, “Sol is where the awakened students are. Luna’s for the unawakened.”
Alex sighed a little. “If only we knew you were back earlier, you would’ve been the one to handle Specialization Discovery.”
Seojun’s expression shifted. He frowned slightly. “The forced awakening class? Chairman… approved that?”
alexa asked “you knew about this class?”
Seojun nodded. “I can get information from my clones,”
Alex nodded. “We just introduced the new class today, and it looks like all the students will be joining. It’s a good thing we limited the numbers. Nathan and Elshienne will be part of it.”
Seojun didn’t say anything, just nodded lightly, not showing much reaction.
Alex, noticing his silence, added, “By the way, Grandpa just told us about you this morning. Have you seen your class area yet?”
Seojun shook his head. “I haven’t.”
Alexa smiled. “Well, we’ll take you there now. It’s not far.”
While walking to Seojun’s new role area, Alex spoke up with a reassuring tone. “You know, becoming a professor might be tricky, especially since most of the students don’t fully acknowledge tamers. Just take it slow, show them what you can do, and they’ll come around. You’ve got this, Seojun.”
“Even if they doubt tamers now, your experience and skills will speak for themselves. And you’ve already got a reputation. Just take it one step at a time.” Alexa added “You know, we’ve been teaching for about five years now, and you wouldn’t believe how much we’ve suffered from those kids. They can be stubborn, rude, and honestly, some of them just don’t get it.”
Seojun raised an eyebrow. “Sounds like you’ve had your hands full.”
Alex scratched his head, a little embarrassed. “Yeah, you could say that. But you know what? It’s all part of the job. You just have to push through.”
Seojun smirked. “Seems like they got you both good, huh?”
Alexa laughed, but there was a hint of exhaustion in her voice. “You have no idea. Some days, I wonder how I’ve made it this far.”
Alex shook his head. “But, really, Seojun, you’ll need a lot of patience. No matter what, you can’t let them get to you. Just go slow, let them find their way. And, most importantly, don’t show them what you’re truly capable of. If they don’t see it, they can’t use it against you.”
Seojun nodded thoughtfully. “I get it. But there are people who already know about me.”
Alexa and Alex froze for a moment, both staring at him in surprise. “What? Who?” Alex asked, eyes wide. “How?”
Seojun sighed, a bit weary from the conversation. “When I first came back to Earth, I ended up in a dungeon. I saved three people there, if I remember correctly. They’ve known about my abilities ever since.”
“Wait, three people?” Alexa repeated, processing the information. “And they’ve known all this time?”
Seojun nodded again. “Yeah, something like that. It wasn’t really important at the time, so I never made a big deal out of it.”
Alex’s expression shifted to concern. “You should be careful. Knowing about your abilities isn’t something everyone will take lightly. They could turn on you if they think they can use it to their advantage.”
As they walked through the halls, Alex and Alexa exchanged glances, both looking at Seojun with concern.
“Do you remember their names?” Alex asked.
Seojun paused for a moment, trying to recall the names of the three people who knew his abilities. “Minseok, Hannah, and Jin Hyu,” he finally replied.
Alex nodded. “We’ll make sure they won’t talk about it.”

Seojun shrugged, unbothered. “You don’t need to do that. Knowing that no one knows my identity, they’ll keep it to themselves.”
Alexa insisted, “Still, we have to check. Just to be sure.”
Seojun raised an eyebrow, a slight smile on his face. “Up to you.”
They continued walking, but then Alex changed the topic now that they are front of a building. “We didn’t have time to clean up, sorry, Seojun. We thought you’d start after a few days.”
Seojun glanced around, then shrugged. “I can clean this.”
[Host is excited, that’s why he immediately started.]
Seojun rolled his eyes. “Excited? More like I just want to be done with this.”
[You can’t rush things, Host. Especially that they don’t like tamers.]
Alexa continued explaining the building where Seojun’s class would be held.
“The building where your class will be is a bit farther from the other class buildings,” she said, gesturing toward the distant structure. “It’s not often used by other classes, so it might look a little… abandoned.”
Seojun looked ahead and saw the building. It was a single-story structure, far from the other tall and well-maintained academic buildings. The walls of the building were weathered, and some of the windows seemed to have dirt on them. The paint was chipped, and there was an old sign near the entrance that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years.
“The back of the building has a field,” Alexa continued, pointing behind the building. “It’s perfect for taming exercises, though it’s not very lively around here.”
The field in the back was large but wild-looking. The grass had grown a bit high, and there were some scattered trees around. It seemed untouched and had a strange quietness to it.
“Don’t expect much in terms of decoration,” Alexa added, her voice slightly apologetic. “It’s functional, but it doesn’t have the same vibe as the other classrooms. It doesn’t even have a second floor.”
Alex sighed deeply. “Grandpa was so rushed that we didn’t even get a chance to fix this. I’m really sorry, Seojun. How about you come back in three days? We’ll fix everything.”
Seojun shook his head. “It’s fine. I like it this way. I’ll handle everything. Don’t worry.”
Alexa raised an eyebrow. “Are you sure, Seojun? You don’t need any help?”
Seojun nodded, looking around at the place. “I’m sure. I can manage.”
At that moment, the bell rang, signaling break time. Alexa brightened up and said, “Oh, it’s break time! Let’s eat, Seojun!”
Seojun smiled lightly and shook his head. “I’m full. You both can go ahead and eat. Don’t worry about me.”
The two looked at each other, unsure if they should leave him alone. But seeing how Seojun was focused on the space, they sighed and decided to go.
“Alright, we’ll see you later,” Alex said, before heading off with Alexa.
[Alright, host! They’re gone!]
Seojun smiled slightly. “Good. This is much better, starting from scratch.” He felt the freedom of working in the space on his own. It gave him the chance to shape it the way he wanted.
