Zyraena sighed. “Then I’ll go before the deities notice I’m gone too long.”
Her golden ball of light slowly faded, then vanished completely.
[Host, back to the topic! Let’s take a look at your first task!] the system said, full of energy.
Seojun glanced at the glowing hologram screen floating in front of him. But before he could read more, he heard a familiar voice in his head.
“Master, they’re leaving.” It was Huno.
Seojun closed the hologram with a swipe of his hand and stood up from the rooftop chair. With a flash, he teleported to the ground floor and began walking toward the front gate.
As he approached, he heard a whisper.
“Finally,” Yoora muttered under her breath.
Huno, in his smaller Rottweiler form, growled lowly after hearing it. Yoora quickly looked away.
Huno walked beside Seojun quietly, still watching Yoora.
Minseok stepped forward, scratching his neck awkwardly. “Uh… Professor. We have another class today. We need to go meet our homeroom teacher and ask about adjusting our schedule.”
Seojun nodded slightly. “Understood. I’ll see you tomorrow, then.”
Hannah gave a small bow. “Thank you, Professor Jihoon.”
Yoora didn’t say anything but glanced back once before walking off with the two.
After they left, Seojun stood in silence.
DING!

The Next Day
“Good morning, Professor!”
“Annyeonghaseyo, Professor Jihoon.”
One student, then another. Most were just trying to be polite, but others… weren’t as subtle.
“Is he the rumor professor?””Obviously, girl! Look at his face—he looks just like us!”
“And handsome,” someone added with a blush.”Right?” they giggled, walking past him in pairs.
A bolder one smirked as she leaned in slightly, brushing her fingers through her hair.
“Good morning, Professor~””Looking good today, Prof~”
Seojun smiled. Calm. Charming, even.
“Good morning to you, too,” he replied, voice smooth.
Then the System’s clicked in, tone amused and far too chipper.
[Is that a fake smile, Host?][Detected: 85% social smile. 15% internal pain.][Heh. Classic.]
“Ten students, huh…” Seojun ignored the system and looked at the quiet training field outside his new classroom. Right now, only three students were officially part of his class.
[Don’t worry, esteemed Transcendent Mentor. You only need to find seven more diamonds in the rough. Preferably before the world ends.]
“Helpful as always,” he muttered dryly.
His eyes sharpened—barely perceptibly—as a silent pulse triggered the passive layer of [Omniscient Eye].
Faint strings of mana shimmered in his vision, tethered to students scattered across the distant courtyard. Some were training. Others were chatting, laughing, or simply existing.
[Target scan complete: 6 possible Seeds found nearby.][Estimated Awakening Rank: E to A][Note: Skill is not upgraded. Skin contact is needed to see full details.]
“Figures,” Seojun muttered. “I can only see part of it for now.”
[If you want the full power, you need to level it up first Host.]
He didn’t plan to beg them to join. He would give them just enough pressure. Enough signs. Enough reasons to walk through his door on their own.
“System,” he said. “Send me their names. I’ll choose who joins by the end of the week.”
[Understood. Uploading list…]
[Seeds of Transcendence v1.0 created.]
As names appeared in front of him, Seojun’s eyes became calm and focused.
Seojun started walking again, heading toward the training field. He wasn’t in a hurry, just thinking quietly.
Then—Thud!
Someone bumped into him hard from the side.
“Ah—!”
The student had been carrying a bundle of long wooden sticks. They flew into the air, about to scatter all over the ground.
But before they could fall, Seojun moved.
Effortlessly.
His hand shot out with sharp precision. In a single, smooth motion, he caught three sticks midair. The others hovered just before hitting the ground—held up by a gentle swirl of green leaves the student had released.
“Whoa…” the guy muttered, staring.
His eyes didn’t go to the sticks first. They went to Seojun’s arm.
“You’ve got reflexes like an A-rank duelist,” he said, impressed. “And built like one too.”
He quickly stepped back and gave a light bow. “Sorry about that. Wasn’t paying attention.”
Then he paused—his eyes widening a bit as he got a better look at Seojun.
“…Wait a minute. You’re him, aren’t you? The new guy? Youngest professor in the academy?”
Seojun gave a light nod.
The man blinked, then suddenly leaned closer—his eyes zeroing in like a hawk.
“Hold on, let me just—whoa.” Without hesitation, he poked Seojun’s upper arm. “Solid. That’s not beginner training, kid. You’ve got that quiet core strength. You do weighted pushups? No—wait—combat conditioning, right? Or dungeon calisthenics?”
Seojun raised an eyebrow.
“I mean look at these arms! You hiding bricks under that coat? Damn,” the man muttered, clearly impressed. “Not to mention the posture—straight back, relaxed shoulders. You’re either a natural or secretly hitting the gym with high-rank beasts.”
He gave a short laugh and finally backed off, still grinning.
“Name’s Professor Nam Chulsoo. I teach physical combat and mana control. Been here long enough to know talent when I see it. Didn’t expect to bump into the new prodigy like this—literally.”
He glanced at the sticks Seojun still held, caught mid-air with ease.
“Nice catch, by the way. No aura flare, no wasted movement. That’s the kind of clean reflexes you only get from real battle or crazy training. As i remember your a beast tamer, You sure you’re not secretly a Warrior? Or did you train under one?”
Seojun just smiled faintly. “Just good with timing.”
Chulsoo chuckled again, then bent to gather the rest of his dropped sticks. “Man… I swear, if I were twenty years younger, I’d challenge you to a push-up contest right here.”
With a wave of leafy mana, he pulled the rest of the floating sticks toward himself and gave Seojun a nod of respect.
“Anyway, welcome aboard, Professor. Don’t let the clean walls fool you—this place is more chaotic than it looks.”
