Chapter 395: Chapter 393: Awakening day of specialization discovery class
“Nayoung!” Hannah shouted, her voice tight with panic as she reached for the barrier, helplessly watching her friend charge at Seojun, eyes wild, her scissor-like weapon glowing with unstable mana. Minseok stood beside her, equally shaken, “She’s not in control—stop her! Master, please!”
But Seojun didn’t strike back.
He kept stepping aside with ease, dodging each swing as Nayoung slashed through the air with raw emotion behind every strike, her breathing fast, her movements reckless, as if trying to release everything she had felt—fear, anger, helplessness—all of it pouring into her weapon.
Meanwhile, just behind them, Jinhyu was laid gently on a conjured bed by Seojun’s clone, his eyes half-closed, already being healed by a soft light hovering above him, his wounds slowly knitting back together, though his face remained pale.
Then, from the other side of the room, Yoora stirred with a low groan, her eyes blinking open as she sat up, wincing slightly from exhaustion, her body still sore from her earlier fight. She looked around with confusion at the shouts, at the flickering weapon in Nayoung’s hand, and then calmly turned to Hannah.
“What’s going on with Nayoung?” she asked, her voice hoarse but steady.
“She just awakened—but she’s out of control!” Hannah replied quickly, her hands trembling.
Yoora nodded slowly, then looked at Nayoung and gave a faint smile, tired but understanding. “Ah… I see. It’s happening,” she said softly. “This always happens… to people with unstable mana. Especially when it’s their first time using it all at once. Don’t worry, that’s normal.”
“Normal?!” Minseok said, turning to her, startled. “She’s swinging a blade at Master like she doesn’t even recognize him!”
“That’s because of her class,” Yoora said, sitting up straighter now, brushing her hair out of her face. “She’s a Wielder.”
“A Wielder?” Hannah asked, confused.
Before Yoora could reply, Seojun’s voice filled the air, calm despite the danger. “A class that manifests weapons purely from mana,” he explained while continuing to dodge Nayoung’s attacks, his movements precise, avoiding her swings without hurting her.
“But what is that weapon?” Minseok asked, squinting at the glowing shape in Nayoung’s hands. “It looks like a blade but… not really a sword.”
He took a step forward, staring hard—and then suddenly, before their eyes, the weapon in Nayoung’s hands shifted.
The single blade twisted, shimmered, and split into two—both ends curved and gleaming with dangerous mana, the circle in the middle tightening into a firm grip.
Hannah gasped loudly. “It’s… a scissor!”
Minseok’s eyes widened in realization. “That’s why the handle looked strange! It’s not a sword—it’s an actual scissor! Like a huge weaponized pair of scissors!”
Seojun gave a faint nod as Nayoung, breathing harder now, lunged again—but her swing was slower, and her arms shook. The mana flickered, the glow dimming with every step she took.
Then—her knees buckled.
The weapon in her hands shuddered, its edges fading like smoke until, with a final spark, the entire scissor disappeared into thin air.
She fell forward, unconscious before she hit the ground.
Seojun caught her gently, his expression calm as he looked at her face. “She used up all her mana. Her body couldn’t sustain the manifestation any longer.”
Hannah and Minseok ran toward them as the barrier faded, both of them kneeling beside her.
“She passed out…” Hannah whispered, brushing Nayoung’s hair away from her face.
“But she did it,” Minseok said softly, looking at Seojun. “She really awakened.”

Elshienne sat near the window of the quiet classroom, her chin resting on her hand as she looked toward the two empty seats where Nayoung and Jinhyu usually sat, her eyes filled with a small hint of longing as she sighed quietly to herself. She missed the usual noise, the laughter, and even the silly arguments Nayoung used to have with Jinhyu, and now that both of them were still resting in the Ethereal Grounds after what happened, the silence in the room felt strange and too still.
Not long after, Nathan entered the room, walking with his usual calm expression, and he noticed right away how his twin sister looked deep in thought. “What’s with the long face?” he asked, sliding into the seat beside her without waiting for an answer, already having a sense of what she was thinking about.
Elshienne gave another small sigh, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “I miss Nayoung’s noisiness,” she replied softly, “Wait, did you hear about Seojun?”
Nathan leaned back in his chair, his arms crossed as he nodded. “Yeah. Professors are working together to kick him out of here. It’s all over the faculty.”

Elshienne frowned, her voice lowering even more. “Are we not going to help him? It’s already been five days. He was only given one week. That means… he has two days left.”
Nathan stayed silent at that, his brows furrowed as he looked away toward the window. He didn’t say anything, but Elshienne knew her brother well enough to understand he was thinking deeply about it.
Just then, the classroom door opened and Professor Sera entered with a bright smile on her face, holding a stack of papers in her arms as she looked around at the students who quickly turned to her. “Good morning, everyone!” she greeted cheerfully.
“Good morning, Professor Sera!” the class replied in scattered but lively voices, some students sitting up straighter in their chairs, others adjusting their uniforms.
“I have good news to share with all of you today!” Sera continued with excitement in her voice. “After the final assessment yesterday, the preparation is now complete, and the students I will be calling will have the chance to awaken today!”
The room instantly burst into whispers and murmurs, some students gasping while others smiled and clapped, excited for whoever was about to be named.
Professor Sera raised her hand gently to calm them down. “Let’s settle down now,” she said kindly. “In this class, the students selected for awakening—please stand up and wait outside. First, Nathan and Elshienne Hamilton.”
Everyone clapped and cheered lightly as the Hamilton twins stood up, some students offering words like “Good luck!”
“What do you think they’ll awaken?”
“I felt like the twins fit to every class, what you think?”
“Elshienne is fit to be a mage but she’s also fit as a close range fighter. She’s hot when she fought with a sword!”
“You got this!” as the two walked to the door.
“Next, Sion Quinn,” she said, and Sion, with his headphones still in his ears, walked out behind the twins without saying much.
“Mirae Song,” she called next, and Mirae blinked in surprise, standing up nervously as her friends gave her encouraging nods. She followed Sion out slowly.
“Go Mirae!”
Finally, Sera called one last name, and it made several students widen their eyes in shock.
“And last, Kang Junhee.”
A hush fell across the classroom.
Someone even whispered, “Wait… isn’t he from Group C?”
“Seriously?! My mana level is higher than him! That’s unfair!”
