Chapter 400: Chapter 398: No one hurts her
When Yoora, Hannah, and Jinhyu suddenly appeared to fight, Professor Sera laughed.

It started small, but then grew louder and louder, echoing off the walls, a wild, almost musical sound that didn’t belong to a human. She covered her face with both hands as if crying, but when she slowly pulled them down, her eyes were wide—bloodshot and full of something terrifying—hatred so deep it looked like it could burn the air itself.

“Ohh~ look at this… more little heroes dropping in from the sky,” she whispered with a grin stretched too wide.

“More brave little children, trying to save their friends, trying to fight evil, trying to play hero like it matters—like they’ll make a difference—like anyone cares!”

Her voice cracked into madness, louder now, as she threw her arms open, letting her cloak fall behind her back, revealing twisted marks and veins pulsing across her half-monster body.

“I hate it,” she hissed, then screamed, “I HATE people like you the most! You think you’re so strong because you can fight a little! Because you’re not scared to bleed?! Then bleed more for me! SCREAM MORE FOR ME!! LET’S SEE HOW LONG YOU STAY STANDING!!”

Her arms snapped downward and she pointed to the five half-monsters.”Kill them. Kill all of them now!”

The five twisted creatures turned fast and surrounded Yoora, Hannah, and Jinhyu like wolves closing in on prey.

Yoora didn’t flinch. Purple energy burst out of her hands, forming glowing chains that whipped around her body like snakes ready to strike.”I’m not scared of monsters like you!” she yelled.

Hannah let out a battle cry, her body shifting as insect-like armor crawled up her skin and hardened, her eyes turning golden.

Jinhyu raised his hands, two huge fireballs forming and swirling with heat.”I’m gonna burn every last one of you!”

While the three fought hard, Sion was still blocking the path to Elshienne and Nathan, trying to hold off Mirae and Junhee who kept attacking like puppets. Their eyes were dead, but their movements were sharp and fast. He was breathing hard, getting pushed back little by little.

Then, he heard a voice.

“P-please… don’t hurt t-them…” It was Elshienne. Her voice was weak, shaking, but full of something honest. “Nathan…don’t get angry… I-I’m fine…”

She coughed up more blood, her body limp in Nathan’s arms. Sion froze for a second. His eyes flicked to Nathan and Sion had no choice but to defend.

And Sera… Sera looked like she was about to melt from joy. Her eyes rolled up, her tongue out, as she laughed so loud it pierced the air.

“YES! THIS! THIS IS WHAT I LOVE! The sound of your pain! The despair! The betrayal! Cry more for me! Beg more! Just—”

CRACK.

A sound like twisting metal and snapping bones echoed across the room, cutting her laughter short. Her whole body suddenly jerked unnaturally. Her eyes shot wide in confusion.

“What…?”

Another crack, louder.

Her torso bent sideways like someone grabbed her spine and twisted it. “N-No! This can’t be happening! Impossib—-”

Then—

BOOM.

Blood exploded out of her body like a fountain, spraying across the floor and walls, raining down over the scene. Her limbs cracked, bent backward, and her face filled with horror—real horror—as her body collapsed in a shaking mess.

Everyone stopped. Their eyes widened. Even the monsters froze.

“What… what happened…?”

Then they heard it.

“Stop laughing.”

Nathan’s voice. Low. Cold. Inhuman.

He was still hugging Elshienne, who was unconscious now. But something had changed.

He lifted his head.

His eyes glowed—not with light, but with a deep, terrifying glow that didn’t belong in this world. They shimmered like blades, sharp and cruel. His face had no emotion. No pain. No fear. Just… something darker.

they stepped back.

“Nathan did that…”

Everyone turned to look at the five monsters.

Nathan’s glowing eyes locked onto them—one by one.

CRACK.

CRACK.

CRACK.

Their bodies twisted, one by one, their limbs shattering, ribs bursting out, necks snapping backward without even touching them.

Then—

BOOM.

All five monsters exploded at once, their pieces flung across the room, leaving nothing but blood and silence.

The air was dead quiet.

No one moved.

Nathan stood in the middle, still holding Elshienne covered in blood— His voice echoed again, soft but terrifying.

“…No one hurts my sister.”

Nathan sit still, the blood of the exploded monsters soaking the floor beneath his feet. He didn’t blink. He didn’t breathe. He only looked at her—Elshienne—her pale face resting in the crook of his arm.

Her lips barely moved. Her breath was shallow. He pressed his forehead gently against hers, afraid that if he looked away for even a second… she would disappear.

Then—

“Nathan.”

A calm, steady voice broke through the moment like light cutting through fog. Nathan turned his head slowly.

It was Seojun.

He had landed quietly behind him, eyes locked on Elshienne, face unreadable but calm.

“Don’t worry,” Seojun said as he gently knelt and placed a hand on Nathan’s shoulder, “She’ll be fine.”

Nathan’s arms tightened instinctively, but Seojun didn’t force him. Instead, he waited until Nathan slowly loosened his grip.

“You can calm down now,” Seojun continued, voice deep and warm like a still lake, “It’s over.”

Nathan didn’t speak, but the glow in his eyes began to fade, just a little.

Nathan blinked.

His bright blue eyes flickered once more—then dulled. Seojun stepped closer, placed a firm but gentle hand on Nathan’s forehead.

“Rest now.”

The moment he did, Nathan’s body gave out. His eyes slowly closed as if the weight of the world had been lifted—but only for a moment.

“Na—Nathan!”

Jinhyu quickly caught him before he hit the ground, steadying him with wide eyes.

Then—shink!

Yoora threw her glowing chains, fast as lightning, locking both Mirae and Junhee with magical shackles. The two corrupted students twitched, now bound tightly to the ground.

Sion finally dropped to his knees with a long breath, exhausted and barely holding himself up. His hands trembled, his shirt soaked in sweat and blood.

Seojun nodded once, took Elshienne carefully into his arms, then vanished with a flash of light, teleporting them away.
