Chapter 402: Chapter 400: Not impossible
Nathan gave a small nod and stood up slowly, checking that he could move properly, and when he felt steady enough, he took a deep breath and stretched a bit.

“Then let’s go to the field, Let’s wait for the others there.” Nayoung said with a jump, leading the way out as they walked together toward the field just outside the building.

When they reached it, the large space was empty and quiet, no students, no monsters, not even a sound of footsteps in the distance.

“Where did they go, Nayoung?” Elshienne asked after a while, sitting on the bench with her eyes narrowing slightly. “It’s been two hours since they left. I thought they’d be back by now.”

“To the… Ethereal Grounds! Oops—heh heh—forget that I said anything! Just pretend I didn’t say anything at all!”

Nayoung stopped walking and froze for a second, her eyes looking sideways like she had said something she wasn’t supposed to, and then she laughed nervously and covered her mouth quickly with both hands.

“To the… Ethereal Grounds! Oops—heh heh—forget that I said anything! Just pretend I didn’t say anything at all!”

Nathan and Elshienne frowned at the same time, not saying a word, just staring at Nayoung with matching expressions that clearly told her they weren’t going to let it go so easily, and as they both kept staring silently,

Nayoung shifted her eyes left and right, trying to act like she didn’t notice—but after a few seconds of heavy silence, she finally groaned loudly and threw her hands up.

“Alright, alright! Stop staring at me like that, it’s creepy, seriously!” she said, turning around with a big sigh and pouting.

“Ugh, fine! Ethereal Ground is one of those weird space-places where we do training. It’s not really on Earth… it’s like a separate zone or something, but only students under Professor Jihoon’s can enter it. It’s totally secret,”

Nathan and Elshienne looked at each other again, even more confused now, their frowns not going away.

Then, suddenly, Nayoung clapped her hands like she remembered something important and jumped up from her seat with a bright grin.

“Oh wait, look at this! Heheee~!” she said excitedly as her mana began to flicker and leak around her body, pink and sharp, twisting together above her hand until it formed a massive shape—what appeared to be an enormous pair of glowing scissors.

“What?! You’re also awakened now?!” Elshienne asked, eyes wide as she stood up quickly in surprise.

“Hehehe~ yep!” Nayoung said proudly, spinning the glowing scissor in her hand with ease, then holding it in a single grip so that it merged into one sharp and sleek blade, giving off a slight hum of power.

“Who’s your deity?” Elshienne asked,

“Hmm He’s name is Seojun and I’m a Wielder class! Cool, right? This scissor is my favorite! Isn’t it amazing?! I’m like… sharp and deadly but also stylish!”

Elshienne eyes widened, “Seojun? How is that possible?” she whisper and look at Nathan, “His abilities is on par with a Deity, Not impossible”

Nayoung posed dramatically with her blade, beaming with pride, waiting for a reaction from the two.

Nathan blinked once, gave a small nod. “…That’s dangerous,” he said calmly.

“Of course it’s dangerous, that’s the point!” Nayoung said with a proud laugh, swinging the scissor-blade a few times as the air hissed with every cut. “But don’t worry, I won’t cut you guys—unless you keep staring at me like that again!”

Elshienne shook her head, smiling despite herself, while Nathan just sighed.

As the warm breeze brushed across the field, a sudden shift stirred the air. Without warning, a black ripple tore open above the grass—an unnatural void in space, humming low and deep.

From within it, four figures stumbled out, landing roughly on the grass with loud thuds. Yoora, Jinhyu, Hannah, and Minseok collapsed to the ground, soaked in sweat, their chests rising and falling as they gasped for breath.

Behind them, Seojun stepped out of the void just before it sealed shut behind him.

“You’re awake,” Seojun said, his eyes falling on Nathan with a subtle nod,

“Ugh… I’m gonna die…” Yoora groaned, sprawled flat on her back.

“My legs are jelly,” Jinhyu muttered, face buried in the grass.

“I need… a shower,” Hannah breathed out, her whole body trembling.

Minseok rolled onto his side with a wheeze. “I think my soul is still stuck in there…”

Nayoung blinked at the exhausted group, then gasped. “Oh! I’ll go get some water!” she shouted and immediately ran off, her footsteps fading into the distance.

Elshienne frowned, confused as she looked from the panting group to Seojun. “What was that just now?”

“Nayoung already told you, didn’t she?” Seojun replied casually, glancing over at the still-exhausted students. “It’s a training area. The Ethereal Ground. If you want to train there, you’ll have to attend my classes. Since both of you are already registered… you’re qualified.”

Nathan lowered his gaze slightly, thinking—remembering the battlefield, Elshienne’s blood, the feeling of helplessness… and then the power. The way his thoughts had moved the world around him. He clenched his fists, his voice firm and serious.

“Let us train under you,” he said.

Elshienne turned her head, surprised by Nathan’s sudden decision. His eyes were steady, and she could see it—something had changed in him.

Just then, Nayoung returned, arms full of water bottles. She handed them to Hannah, Jinhyu, Yoora, and Minseok, who drank gratefully.

Hannah smiled as she wiped her mouth. “Welcome to the class, guys.”

“Get ready though,” Jinhyu added between gulps. “It’s not easy. One day in the Ethereal Ground… is just one hour here.”

“You mean… you guys were inside there for two days?” Elshienne asked, blinking in shock.

All four of them nodded slowly, their tired expressions saying more than words could.

Yoora sat up and leaned on her arms, eyes narrowing as she looked at Nathan. “Alright, what’s your class then? And what happened back there? You better explain.”

Nathan stared down at the grass. He could still feel it—the moment of stillness, the pressure, the power running through his veins, the terrifying control over everything around him.

Seojun spoke, “Nathan’s ability is called telekinesis. Normally, that kind of power has limitations—specific things you can move or affect. But Nathan…” he paused, eyeing him carefully, “you’re not bound by that. You can control anything. Just like before… you controlled their bodies.”

“Woooow~” Nayoung’s eyes sparkled as she looked at Nathan in awe. “Nathan is really amazing! I think you’ve found your match, Yoora~!”

Minseok laughed and added, “Right?! Finally, someone strong enough to challenge Yoora’s top spot!”

Yoora clicked her tongue and rolled her eyes. “As if I’d lose. Don’t forget, I’ve been training for years. Just because he awakened now doesn’t mean he can beat me.”

Nayoung grinned mischievously and leaned toward Yoora. “But Nathan has inborn talent. He’s a prodigy~.”

Hannah nodded in agreement. “A prodigy that strong from birth has an edge over someone who had to train endlessly to catch up. It’s unfair, but… it’s true.”

Yoora scowled and stood up abruptly, pointing her water bottle straight at Nathan like it was a sword. “Let’s duel, Nathan. I’m gonna show all of you that no matter how talented you are, no one can beat someone who gave up everything, trained every day, and bled to get strong.”

Nayoung laughed nervously. “Relax! We’re just kidding—spare Nathan! He just awakened!”

But Nathan stood up slowly, “I accept. Let’s duel.”

Everyone froze.

“I said I accept,” Nathan repeated. “Let’s duel.”
