Chapter 403: Chapter 401: Class – Entomorpher
Seojun raised his hand calmly, stopping the rising tension. “Before that,” he said, looking at both Nathan and Elshienne, “you two need to adapt to the gravity inside the Ethereal Ground. It’s different from here. Your duel will be in two days.”
Nathan nodded seriously. “Alright.”
Yoora smirked confidently, placing her hands on her hips. “Good. You better prepare, Nathan. I’m one of the top Awakeners in this academy.”
Just then, a new voice interrupted them. “I’m joining.”
Everyone turned their heads toward the voice.
Sion walked toward the group, hands in his pockets, his usual bored expression on his face. He stopped in front of Seojun and met his eyes, his tone casual but direct.
“I already know a lot. You want me to keep quiet, right?”
The air between Seojun and Sion grew tense as they stared at each other in silence. It felt like an eye-staring contest between two people who knew more than they let on.
Nayoung pouted and crossed her arms. “Hmph! Professor isn’t scared of you, Sion. He could shut you up right now if he wanted.”
Sion didn’t even react to her comment. He simply asked, “What do I fill up?”
Seojun swiped his hand in the air, and a blue hologram screen appeared in front of him. He passed it to Sion. Without another word, Sion filled in the form and gave it back.
Just like that, Sion was officially registered in Seojun’s class.
Elshienne tilted her head and said, “You need two more students”
Seojun nodded. “That’s easy. I already have someone in mind. But for now… let’s start with you three.”
He turned around, and the portal to the Ethereal Grounds opened again. This time, only Elshienne, Nathan, and Sion stepped in with Seojun.
Hannah, Yoora, Jinhyu, and Minseok stayed behind, ready to help or observe.
As soon as the three stepped into the Ethereal Ground, they felt it—like an invisible weight pressing down on their shoulders, pulling them to the ground. All three of them dropped to their knees at the same time.
“Urgh… what is this…?” Elshienne gritted her teeth, struggling to push herself up.
Nathan’s arms trembled as he tried to lift himself. “So… heavy…”
Sion knelt silently, brows slightly furrowed, sweat forming on his forehead. Even he wasn’t immune.
Seojun stood a few steps ahead, perfectly fine, hands behind his back as he turned to look at them.
“The Ethereal Ground has five times the gravity of Earth,” he explained calmly. “This place was made to help you build strength faster. If you can’t adapt to the pressure, you won’t last long in real battle.”
He looked at each of them one by one.
“You must train your body, your mana control, and your will. The gravity will help with that. So don’t try to fight it—learn to move with it.”
Sion stayed quiet but started to slowly raise his head, sweat dripping down his cheek.
Nayoung let out a laugh, half amused and half amazed as she watched the three struggle under the gravity. “Haha! When we first experienced this, our faces hit the ground right away. I still remember the sound—thud! It was hilarious!”
Minseok chuckled beside her, nodding. “Yeah, it took us almost three hours just to move properly. Now that I think about it, we really went through a lot.”
Jinhyu stretched his arms and plopped down on the ground “Good thing we’re resting today. We earned it.”
Seojun, who had been watching the three. “They won’t be alone. All of you will help them adapt.”
Then he looked at Nayoung specifically. “You. I’ll be training you personally.”

Nayoung’s eyes widened like stars. “Waaah! Really?! Me?! Professor, I won’t let you down!”
She dashed toward him without waiting another second, her large scissors trailing behind her like they weighed nothing. She twirled them in her hands playfully, as if the weapon was no heavier than a pencil.
Meanwhile, inside the Ethereal Grounds, the gravity continued to press down on Nathan, Elshienne, and Sion.
But now, Yoora, Minseok, Hannah, and Jinhyu entered one by one, unaffected by the pressure as they had already adapted.
Yoora walked up to Elshienne and bent down a little. “You need to focus your mana through your limbs. Let it spread and support your weight.”
Elshienne grit her teeth and followed the instruction, trying to push her mana outward. Slowly, her trembling arms began to hold steady.
Minseok crouched beside Nathan, tapping his shoulder. “Relax your back.”
Nathan exhaled sharply and shifted his stance slightly, using Minseok’s advice. The shaking in his legs eased a little.
Sion was still kneeling, silent, but his eyes were sharp, analyzing every word and movement around him.
Hannah stood nearby and gently knelt in front of him. “You’re doing well But you need to move. Try crawling first if you have to. Motion builds strength here.”
Jinhyu looked at all three of them and nodded in approval. “They’ll get used to it soon. They’re tough.”
Back at the center, Seojun stood with Nayoung, who was already swinging her scissors in the air, excited to begin.
“Before anything,” Seojun said calmly, “Your weapon is an extension of yourself. Learn its weight, its flow, and its balance under this gravity.”
“Yessir!” Nayoung chirped, planting her feet firmly on the ground and taking her stance seriously.
While Nathan, Elshienne, and Sion struggled to move in the heavy gravity, the others continued helping and guiding them.
Elshienne looked up at Jinhyu, who was walking beside her with ease. “You also awakened, Jinhyu?” she asked between breaths.
Jinhyu smiled and held out his hand. A soft flame flickered in his palm. “Yup. I’m a mage. Professor said I also have water affinity, but I need more training before I can bring it out.”
Sion, still kneeling but listening carefully, glanced up. “He can see abilities that haven’t awakened yet?”
Before Jinhyu could answer, Hannah stepped in. “Professor Jihoon is practically a god. Well… for me, at least. He’s really strong. Infinite mana, rare beasts, and he can see your potential like it’s written on paper.”
Sion’s eyes narrowed slightly. “He’s the one who awakened you, Jinhyu and Nayoung?”
“Yeah,” Hannah nodded. “Also me. I went through a second awakening.”
“What were you before? Shouldn’t that mean you have two classes?” Sion asked, curious.
Hannah smiled lightly. “No. I used to be a healer. But now…My new class is Entomorpher and My ability is called Metamorphing, I can transform into insect-type monster.”
Sion blinked, clearly not expecting that answer. He looked at Hannah’s calm and gentle face and was stunned at the idea that such a sweet person could have such a terrifying and powerful ability.
Elshienne noticed his stunned expression and smirked. “Wow, Sion is talkative when it’s Hannah.”
Sion’s face instantly turned red. He quickly looked away and turned his back to them. “Tch.”
Hannah, seeing Sion’s reaction, felt her own face warm up, her cheeks turning pink.
“Yieee~ They’re both blushing!” Minseok and Jinhyu chimed in, grinning.
Hannah’s face turned redder as she yelled, “Stop it!” and pushed the two boys away. But her push had surprising force. Minseok and Jinhyu were both knocked back a few steps, staggering slightly.
“Ow! Hey,!” Minseok said, rubbing his shoulder.
Jinhyu laughed. “Yup, that’s Hannah. Don’t mess with her.”
Hannah huffed and crossed her arms, still blushing.
