Chapter 410: Chapter 408: Hannah Vs. Nathan
Both girls jogged back to their teams. Minseok clapped as Nayoung arrived. “You both were amazing!” Nayoung just laughed, brushing her hair back with one hand. “Right? We should do that more often!”

On the other side, Jinhyu gave Hannah a thumbs-up. “You improved! That last kick almost got her.”

Hannah gave a small nod but replied quietly, “I… cheated.”

“Huh?” Before Jinhyu could ask more, Nymira raised her voice, her arms crossed. “You broke the rules.”

Both Nayoung and Hannah turned toward her, slightly startled. “I said no mana. That was a physical combat drill,” Nymira continued, her tone sharp but calm. “But you two enhanced your strength and speed.”

Nayoung scratched her cheek, then raised her fingers in a sheepish peace sign. “I’m sorry, Ms. Nymira~ I still can’t get used to holding it back. Hehe…”

Hannah bowed slightly, more formal. “Apologies. I’ll be more careful.”

Nymira then straightened, her voice loud and clear again. “Last pair. I know you two have an upcoming duel, so don’t make this personal. Keep it clean.”

Nathan and Yoora nodded wordlessly. The atmosphere shifted. The others felt it immediately—Nayoung stopped chatting, Hannah looked up, and even Minseok stood still as both Nathan and Yoora walked forward.

Unlike the others, they didn’t bounce or stretch. They stood tall. Then, both of them did something unexpected. They sealed their mana completely. There was no aura, no pressure—nothing supernatural. Only pure, disciplined silence. Like a drawn bowstring.

“Wow…” Nayoung whispered, eyes wide. “Look…” The two stared at each other, posture perfect.

Then— “Begin,” Nymira said softly.

A sudden gust of wind burst across the training ground, not from mana, but from the sheer force of movement. Yoora stepped in first, fast and sharp. Her punch aimed for Nathan’s collarbone, her hips rotating cleanly for power.

Nathan blocked with his forearm, but the impact made dust swirl at their feet. He didn’t counter immediately—instead, he watched. Yoora struck again, this time low, aiming for his thigh. Nathan jumped back, the edge of her kick brushing the hem of his pants.

Then he moved. Nathan’s fist came in from above, direct and without waste. Yoora ducked, spun, and kicked. Her heel whistled through the air, missing his face by inches. Their footwork was sharp. Controlled. Clean. Neither backed down.

Nathan leaned in, his palm thrusting toward her chest. Yoora grabbed his wrist, twisting her body to throw him—but he turned with it, landing on his feet and sweeping low.

Yoora jumped. Her braid swung behind her like a whip as she flipped midair and landed with a grunt, barely avoiding his strike. More dust kicked up. They charged again, clashing with forearms and shoulders, using nothing but strength, balance, and timing.

No magic. No glowing limbs. Just raw effort. Each strike, each dodge, left marks on the ground. Each breath they took was controlled. Their classmates couldn’t look away.

Even Nymira raised a brow slightly, arms still crossed. Finally, after one last clash of fists.

“Enough,” Nymira said. The two immediately jump back, Nathan bowed his head slightly. Yoora nodded once.

And the entire field stayed silent for a heartbeat longer, before Nayoung finally broke it with a loud, “That. Was. So cool!!”

“Nathan can match Yoora!” Jinhyu and Minseok clapped, while Hannah clapped while smiling.

After a short pause, Nymira stepped forward again. “This time, we’ll move on to the second part combat,” she said. “Minseok, you’re exempted.”

“I understand Ms.” Minseok nodded.

She then looked at the students. “First match: Hannah and Nathan.”

The group blinked in surprise. “Wait—what?” Nayoung whispered.

Hannah’s eyes widened. “M-Me…?” She pointed at herself. “Against Nathan?”

Nymira raised a brow. “Is that a problem?”

“I-I mean… I’m no match for him…” she stuttered, glancing at Nathan, who was already stepping forward with no hesitation.

“You haven’t even tried. How do you know you’ll lose?” Nymira asked, folding her arms.

Hannah lowered her head. “I just thought…”

Minseok spoke up, “It’s okay, Hannah. Nathan just awakened. You two might be more evenly matched than you think.”

At the side, Elshienne added, “Nathan’s still adjusting. The gravity shift might still be affecting him.” Hannah took a breath and stepped forward slowly.

“Friendly fight, Nathan,” she said softly. Nathan stood in the center, his face calm, unmoving. “Okay.”

Nayoung leaned toward Minseok. “You think Nathan can already control his power?”

Minseok shrugged. “He’s a prodigy, right? Maybe he can… even just for a few seconds.”

Nymira raised her hand. “Begin.”

Hannah shifted quickly. Her arms became hard and black, like armor. Her legs changed slightly, insect-like and powerful. Sharp claws grew from her fingers, and small wings buzzed behind her back—but she didn’t fly yet.

Nathan, on the other hand, did nothing. He simply stood still, his eyes closing for a second. Then the ground beneath him cracked. A small lump of earth rose from the dirt. It twisted mid-air, forming a rough sword shape—still made of stone and soil, but sharp and firm. It floated beside him, moving without his hand touching it.

The students watching gasped. “He’s not holding it…” Nayoung whispered.

“That’s what telekenisis can do…” Minseok said in awe.

Suddenly, Nathan opened his eyes. The stone sword darted forward—controlled with pure thought. Hannah reacted quickly, blocking with her arms.

Sparks and dust flew as the rock blade struck her hardened skin. She countered with a low spin-kick, aiming to throw Nathan off. But Nathan didn’t move. He lifted his hand slightly, and the sword pulled back, spinning in the air, then shot forward again with a sudden burst of speed.

Hannah jumped aside and spread her wings for a quick hover. She landed behind him and charged again. Nathan narrowed his eyes. For three seconds—just three—the stone sword moved like it was alive. It struck fast, blocked her and even aimed at her feet. But his breathing grew heavy. The control slipped.

The sword wobbled mid-air. Now it was Hannah’s chance. She used her claws to slash the air in front of her, knocking the sword away. Then she dashed forward and tapped Nathan’s chest lightly with her hand.

“Point,” Nymira said.

The stone sword dropped to the ground with a thud. Hannah stood still, breathing hard. Her insect arms twitched, then returned to normal. Her wings folded back.

Nathan said nothing, just lowering his head slightly.

Hannah said between breaths. “Thank you.” Nathan gave a faint nod.

“Thanks.” From the sidelines, Nayoung cheered, “Whaaat! Hannah! That was awesome!”

Minseok laughed, “She really won. That was amazing.”

Nathan quietly walked back to his spot while the others kept watching.

Nymira crossed her arms again and said, “Good. That’s enough. Let’s move on to the next pair.”
