Just call me Thor - Chapter 629
Chapter 629: Truth is eternal
Hearing the Dragon God’s words, Mike was momentarily taken aback.
This was Mike’s greatest secret—one even bigger than his SSS-level talent.
Apollo knew, or at least, Apollo knew part of it.
In fact, Mike’s transmigration might even be connected to Apollo.
Even so, Apollo had always been indifferent about it.
“The world is vast enough to accommodate you.”
It was this simple statement that had allowed Mike to let go of his inner turmoil.
But as everything began to settle, Mike realized that things were far more complicated than he had imagined.
A vague unease lingered in his heart, one he couldn’t share with anyone else.
Apollo had always remained tight-lipped about the matter.
It wasn’t until Mike encountered Ares in the River of Time that the issue was brought up again.
Ares had used a very direct method to remind Mike that there was something wrong with his origins.
But after that meeting, the more Mike thought about it, the more things didn’t add up.
First, the way Ares had chosen to meet him was strange.
Ares had countless ways to contact Mike, yet he had chosen the most convoluted one.
Why?
Second, the topics they discussed.
Ares had talked about many things: the nature of this world, the Heavenly Realm, the inevitability of the Supreme Demon God, and fate.
If the Supreme Demon God was the embodiment of this world’s rebellion against the Heavenly Realm,
Then, following that logic, the so-called human Supreme Beings, the dragon-slaying heroes, were actually the Heavenly Realm’s tools to suppress this world!
Mike had figured that part out.
But what he still didn’t understand was…
What did any of this have to do with him?
Why had Ares said so much, only to circle back to Mike’s origins?
Until… Mike met the Dragon God.
The Dragon God wasted no time and directly provided the most critical piece of information:
The Supreme Demon God cannot die.
If he dies, this world will perish, and all living beings in it will die with him!
According to the Dragon God’s logic, as long as the human Supreme Beings knew this information, they would never kill the Supreme Demon God.
It was an unsolvable deadlock.

Why did the human Supreme Beings want to kill the Supreme Demon God?
Wasn’t it to protect humanity and the things they cherished?
If killing the Supreme Demon God meant everything would be destroyed, then it would all be meaningless.
The Dragon God had calculated everything… except for one thing.
The human Supreme Being standing before him wasn’t a being of this world at all!
“No, no, no!”
The Dragon God fell into a frenzy.
“How can you not be of this world? What happened to the original potential Supreme Being?
How did you even get here…?”
“Shut up.”
Mike found the Dragon God’s incessant questions annoying.
Too many questions, too few answers—Mike needed time to think.
Lightning spread from Mike’s feet, sealing the entire space to prevent the Dragon God from escaping.
Mike still had many questions to ask.
“Supreme Mark?!”
The Dragon God’s eyes widened in shock.
“You’re actually a potential Supreme Being?!”
Mike: …
He hadn’t expected the Dragon God to doubt his identity.
“Let’s start with the relationship between the Supreme Demon God and this world,” Mike said.
The Dragon God repeated what he had said before.
Mike realized that the Dragon God didn’t know much—his understanding wasn’t even as deep as Ares’s.
The Dragon God was a remnant from the previous era.
He had been absorbed into the Supreme Demon God but had become an exception.
Like an Afterskin, the Supreme Demon God had devoured him but failed to fully digest him.
The Dragon God had been spat out.
Now, he worked for the Supreme Demon God—or rather, he was struggling to survive.
As a result, the Dragon God’s words were half-truths.
Mike could only take them as reference, not absolute fact.
The claim that the Supreme Demon God’s death would lead to the world’s destruction?
Mike didn’t doubt that.
As for whether all living beings in this world would perish along with it…
Mike wasn’t sure.
Such a claim would be hard to fake.
If Mike put in the effort to verify it, he could easily find the truth.
If it turned out to be true, things would indeed become tricky.
Mike, deep in thought, noticed the Dragon God hesitating to speak.
“You have something else to say?” Mike asked.
The Dragon God nodded.
With Mike’s permission, he quickly said,
“There’s a possibility that you are actually a being of this world.
Otherwise, you wouldn’t have been able to fuse with the Truth Source fragments, nor could you wield the Supreme Mark.
You yourself might not be the problem.
It could be the Heavenly Realm making us believe you’re an outsider.
No matter what memories you have of your past, they could have been fabricated.
You might still be a being of this world…”
Mike sighed, his emotions complicated.
“That’s certainly a possibility.
But unfortunately, it’s wrong.”
The Dragon God was unconvinced.
“Why?”
“Because…”
Mike gave his reason.
“I know someone who never lies.”
The Dragon God remained defiant.
“Beings not of this world cannot fuse with the Truth fragments…”
“I didn’t fuse with the Truth Source fragments at first.”
Mike chuckled bitterly.
When he first awakened, he didn’t have an SSS-level talent—just a very ordinary one.
He remembered it clearly.
“Impossible! Absolutely impossible!” the Dragon God roared.
“It is impossible,” Mike agreed with a sigh. “But I know a group of people who specialize in turning the impossible into reality.”
And that was precisely the problem!
If the fate of the human Supreme Beings killing the Supreme Demon God was predetermined, what could be done?
If this grand performance was nothing more than a farce, how would it end?
Mike rubbed his temples, feeling a headache coming on.
“This is getting messy. Let’s sort it out again.”
Mike cleared his mind and began organizing his thoughts.
“If we fast-forward to the end—what happens if the Supreme Demon God is killed?”
The Dragon God opened his mouth to answer.
“Shut up!”
Mike shot him a cold glare, his eyes icy, as if he were looking at a dead man.
“I wasn’t talking to you.”
The Dragon God: ???
If not for the powerful lightning binding him, the Dragon God would have challenged Thor to a fight right then and there.
But thinking about Thor’s current strength, he could only endure.
As he endured, the Dragon God couldn’t help but feel curious.
Who was Thor talking to?
Who in this world could move freely without restriction, enter any place at will, and have the qualifications to discuss such matters with Mike?
There weren’t many beings that fit those criteria.
Suddenly, a white horse appeared in the chamber, standing before Mike.
The moment the white horse appeared, the Dragon God’s pupils reflected a glint of greed.
This white horse was an SSS-level talent!
If he could control such a talent, the Dragon God believed he could become the strongest being in existence!
Why were the human Supreme Beings invincible, unmatched in the world?
Because they had SSS-level talents and Truth Source fragments!
“Idiot.”
Mike sneered at the Dragon God’s reaction.
“It’s not the SSS-level talent that makes someone invincible.
It’s being invincible that grants them an SSS-level talent.
Can’t you even understand that?”
A being like Thor would remain the strongest, with or without an SSS-level talent.
The Dragon God, faced with this undeniable truth, was left speechless.
Mike turned back to the white horse and asked,
“If everything goes as planned, and the nine generations of human Supreme Beings kill the Supreme Demon God, what happens?”
The white horse’s sudden appearance didn’t surprise Mike.
After spending so much time together, Mike had come to understand the white horse’s abilities.
Its extreme speed allowed it to appear anywhere, even moving upstream in the River of Time.
In other words, it was omnipresent.
At any time, in any place, Mike could call for the white horse, and it would hear him.
Whether it chose to respond, however, was another matter.
The white horse didn’t answer Mike’s question.
Instead, a white dove perched on its back spoke.
“The Supreme Demon God will die.”
If the nine generations of human Supreme Beings truly gave their all, fighting the Supreme Demon God to the death one after another,
Then the Supreme Demon God would indeed die.
Mike pressed further.
“And after the Supreme Demon God dies?”
“This world will be destroyed.”
“And the destruction of this world—what will it lead to?”
“All living beings in this world will die.
Morpheus will die.
Ares will die.
Shadow Nine will die.”
Hearing the white dove’s answer, Mike fell silent.
Apollo wouldn’t die.
Because he wasn’t a being of this world.
And Mike wouldn’t die either.
Because he wasn’t one of this world’s beings.
If Mike’s guess was correct, the hope of killing the Supreme Demon God rested in his hands.
For anyone else, the prospect of perishing alongside the Supreme Demon God might give them pause.
But for Mike, there wasn’t much to hesitate about.
Because… he wasn’t a being of this world.
He wouldn’t be affected.
He would survive.
Mike asked one final question.
“If the Supreme Demon God dies, this world is destroyed—who is the biggest winner?
Who benefits the most?”
“The Heavenly Realm.”
The white dove’s eyes glowed red as it answered coldly,
“The Heavenly Realm…
[Truth] is eternal.
He will never perish.”
