Chapter 806: Chapter 806 – The Shattered Peaks
Broken continued his journey toward what he suspected to be the dragonkin’s territory, still accompanied by SexyGrill—and, unfortunately, one uninvited guest who had somehow managed to tag along.
At the very least, the guy finally started pulling his weight in battles.
As it turned out, Vallrick was an Assassin-type player who fought using dual daggers. More than that, he had an exceptional skill—one that allowed him to vanish even while in battle mode.
It was… ridiculous.
With that ability, he could easily escape combat entirely, something that shouldn’t have been possible under normal mechanics.
Maybe that was how he had survived in this nightmare of a forest, even when the forty players he hired had all been slaughtered by the dragonkin.
After what felt like endless traveling, they finally reached their destination, it was a clearing—
Just beyond the tree line, a towering cliffside stretched high into the sky, its jagged peaks blocking their view of whatever lay behind it.
And just as Broken had learned before, this vast area was completely protected by a barrier—an invisible domain covering the entire space.
A shimmering veil of magic stretched across the rocky expanse, preventing any unauthorized entry.
From where they stood, it was impossible to see what lay beyond the peaks. Some rock formations were packed tightly together, leaving only narrow gaps between them, while others jutted out at odd angles, obscuring the terrain beyond.
No visible movement.
But every now and then, a wyvern would soar through the sky, dipping low over the cliffs before disappearing behind the rock formations—
Only to fly off again moments later.
If the dragonkin truly lived here, this would be the perfect location for them. The barrier kept outsiders from entering, and the sheer height of the cliffs made it impossible to climb—
But for those who could fly? They could come and go as easily as they pleased.
That meant…
The dragonkin’s home might not be on top of the cliffs at all. They could have built structures hanging off the rock face… Or even hollowed out the cliffs entirely to live inside the mountain itself.
Broken moved forward in stealth mode, shrouded by Pawpaw’s invisibility, as he approached the barrier surrounding the cliffs. And the moment he got close, information appeared in front of him.
[The Shattered Peaks Veil – Lv. 300]
The Shattered Peaks? So that was the name of this place.
But… level 300?
There had to be someone among them with a level of 300 or even higher—someone powerful enough to maintain a barrier of this magnitude.
Broken let out a slow breath. He could usually force his way through barriers if they were around 100 levels higher than him, but this…? He wasn’t even level 200 yet. There was no way he could breach it on his own.
…Unless he had external support to make it possible.
But… should he?
What if the dragonkin could sense intruders the moment someone entered? What if they had abilities that could detect invisibility?
He had come all this way to find them—to find the information about Ivana. If she had come here, this was the best place to start looking.
But how should he approach this?
Option one: He could just wave his hands and yell, hoping the dragonkin would come out.

“HEY, HAVE YOU SEEN THE DRAGON PRINCESS?”
…Yeah, no.
Or…
Option two: He could go in himself and gather information directly.
Broken ran through the options in his head again and again until he finally made up his mind.
He sent a message to SexyGrill through the party chat.
“I need your blessing.”
“The barrier?”
“Yes. It’s level 300.”
SexyGrill chuckled when he returned and explained the situation.
“So your current level isn’t enough to break through the barrier?”
She was grinning. Like she had just won a bet.
Great.
Of course she would enjoy learning something new about his abilities.
Well, it wasn’t like he was trying to hide it. After all, they were already allies in the game—even if not officially.
The plan was simple. SexyGrill would use her blessing, temporarily boosting Broken’s level by the difference between hers and his. That would be enough for him to slip through the barrier.
But, of course, once inside… he wouldn’t be able to get back out the same way. SexyGrill would be stuck on the outside, and he would be trapped inside the domain.
Unless he used his Moonlight Dimension to teleport back to Dissidia Capital City or Slumdon Town. So, this was a one-way trip.
Whatever he found inside—whether it was information, allies, or enemies—he would have to handle it on his own.
And if things went south? His only option would be to retreat back to the South Continent.
Well… technically, there was another option. He could let the dragonkin kill him. That way, he would respawn in the nearest city. No lost experience points. No long trek back.
But…
There was a chance his items would drop. And hell no was he about to risk that. His inventory was full of expensive gear!
SexyGrill watched as Broken stepped forward. “So, you’re really going through with this?”
Broken nodded. “Yeah. And once I’m inside, you two need to get far away from here.”
“Wait… what?” Vallrick’s eyes widened. “You’re actually going in? But there’s a barrier! How—?”
Broken only smirked.
Vallrick took a step back. “Damn, did I just overhear something I wasn’t supposed to?”
SexyGrill chuckled. “Yeah, honestly, at this point, we should probably kill you.”
“No! No! I swear, I won’t say a word! You want proof? I’ll even give you my real-life address if that makes you trust me!”
Ignoring his rambling, Broken focused on his plan. SexyGrill activated her blessing, and instantly, his level skyrocketed just enough to bypass the restriction.
Still in stealth mode, Broken took a deep breath and moved forward, Pawpaw close by his side. Hopefully, the dragonkin wouldn’t notice someone slipping into their domain.
He glanced back once, spotting SexyGrill and Vallrick already making their exit. Good. They should be able to log out safely before anything unexpected happened.
Facing forward again, he focused on the shimmering barrier. The moment he stepped in, it felt like pushing through an invisible wall of dense air.
Pawpaw, who had momentarily stayed behind, vanished from sight… but the second Broken was fully inside—
Pawpaw reappeared right next to him.
It worked.
Without hesitation, the demon cat wrapped them both in stealth mode once more. Broken scanned his surroundings, eyes sharp for any sign of movement. Nothing. No alarms, no sudden disturbances.
He exhaled quietly.
After waiting a moment to ensure all was clear, he found a nearby spot for cover, crouching low as he summoned Polly. With their invisibility intact, the three of them moved as one.
“Let’s go, Polly,” he muttered. “Let’s find out what this place is hiding.”
Polly soared higher, gliding toward the towering cliffs that stretched into the clouds. The sheer size of the domain was staggering—just what kind of magic was powerful enough to set up a barrier this vast?
From this distance, it was still difficult to make out the details. But as they drew closer, moving in a wide arc around the area…
Broken finally saw what lay hidden between the massive peaks.
