Chapter 812: Chapter 812 – The Sky Burns
Broken stared up at the sky, his breath caught in his throat as the five massive dragons circled above, their enormous bodies weaving through the clouds.
It was…
A sight beyond anything he had ever witnessed.
The sheer scale of it was unbelievable.
He quickly analyzed their levels—
Each one was above level 300.
And the largest one? Level 320.
Oh, really…
The bitter irony of it all hit him like a punch to the gut.
Ivana—the Dragon Princess—was finally rising, finally fighting for her race.
Yet here was the High Elf Queen, commanding five of the strongest dragons to fight against her own kind.
She had come for Ivana.
And by sheer coincidence—or maybe fate—Broken was here to witness it.
But… could he even do anything against this level of power?
Before he could dwell on that thought, the dragons struck.
One of them slammed into the barrier, shaking the very air around them.
Another let out a massive burst of fire, the flames so intense that the temperature inside the barrier spiked instantly.
Dragonkin near the front lines recoiled—some, unable to withstand the sudden heat, lost their balance and plummeted toward the ground.
The five dragons roared, continuing their relentless assault, testing the strength of the barrier with each powerful strike.
Could it hold?
Because if it couldn’t…
These dragons would wipe out the dragonkin once again—just as they had in the past.
And worst of all?
Ivana wasn’t even here.
Broken watched as the dragonkin warriors hovered behind the barrier, preparing to defend themselves.
But it was obvious—they couldn’t do anything.
Not against this.
Just five dragons… and they were already this powerful.
That was the reality of dragons.
That was why the High Elf Queen had wiped them out in the past—because she refused to let anything exist that was stronger than her.

And the ones she couldn’t kill? She enslaved.
Like these five dragons. They weren’t fighting of their own free will. They were controlled.
“We must protect our tribe!”
“We have to fight back!”
“Whatever you’re looking for isn’t here! We have no connection to the Dragon Princess!”
The dragonkin forces were panicking. Even if they stood their ground, even if they held their formation, they knew the truth.
If the barrier fell…
They would be wiped out.
And this wasn’t even the full attack.
The High Elves hadn’t arrived yet.
This was just the dragons.
Once the High Elf warriors landed—that would be the end.
Because High Elves weren’t just any elves. They were the strongest of their kind. Even the Forest Elves—like Alora and her people—were nothing compared to them.
“You lowly dragonkin…”
The largest dragon spoke, its thunderous voice shaking the entire area.
Just the beat of its wings sent violent winds crashing into the barrier, strong enough to shake the ground beneath them.
Even the barrier itself couldn’t fully block the force of its presence.
“Surrender the Dragon Princess, or what happened in the past will happen again today.”
The dragon’s voice boomed like an earthquake.
Zephero, the Elder Wing, immediately shouted back.
“We have already told you—the Dragon Princess is NOT here! There is nothing for you to find in this place! We severed our ties with the dragons long ago! Leave now, and let us live in peace!”
The massive dragon’s eyes narrowed.
“You dare raise your voice at me, lowly dragonkin?!”
Its mouth opened wide, and with a single breath, it unleashed a torrent of fire.
The flames blazed down from the sky like a falling sun. The heat alone was overwhelming.
Even the high-level dragonkin warriors couldn’t withstand it—some staggered in the air, struggling against the sheer force of the attack.
Broken swallowed hard.
Damn.
Even he wasn’t sure if he could handle one of these dragons—and there were five.
“This weak barrier will not save you from the judgment of the Majestic High Elf Queen. You will be destroyed.”
“Surrender the Dragon Princess.”
Broken gritted his teeth.
And for a brief moment, a terrifying thought crossed his mind.
What if Ivana hadn’t left the Dissidia Kingdom?
Would this have happened there instead?
The kingdom still hadn’t fully recovered from the war against the demons. If an attack of this scale struck Dissidia now…
It would be reduced to nothing.
“Zephero!”
Broken shouted from below, trying to get the elder dragonkin’s attention amidst the chaos.
Despite everything, Zephero heard him. The Elder Wing quickly turned, flying down toward Broken, landing just in front of him.
His face was tense.
He had lived through this nightmare before. And now, it was happening again.
“You should leave. This is no longer your problem. The Dragon Princess isn’t here.”
Zephero’s voice was firm, but Broken wasn’t here to argue about Ivana.
“Will the barrier hold against these dragons?” he asked instead.
The elder dragonkin fell silent.
Then, after a long pause, he finally answered.
“Yes…”
Another pause.
So, it will hold?
Then, Zephero continued.
“Maybe for one day. But if these dragons keep attacking like this, I’m not sure how much longer the barrier—already weakened—will last.”
Damn.
So the barrier really wouldn’t last forever.
One thing was clear—whoever had cast this barrier in the first place had to be incredibly powerful. It had managed to withstand the test of time, and even now, it was still holding up against assaults from dragons this strong.
“Is this because of the Demon Hand?” Broken pressed.
Zephero, his face still tight with tension, gave a slow nod.
“If only we could kill that damn creature… but I fear we no longer have the time.”
And surely, escaping was no longer an option. The dragons had them completely surrounded. If the dragonkin left the barrier now, they would be slaughtered instantly.
“If someone had a powerful water-element attack, how many of your dragonkin would it take to kill the Demon Hand?”
Zephero’s gaze sharpened at Broken’s question.
“Forty… I believe that would be enough. The chances of victory would still be slim, but at least not impossible—unlike without massive water-elemental damage.”
“Forty…” Broken repeated. “Do you have forty fighters?”
Zephero took a slow breath.
“No… only about thirty dragonkin have the qualifications to take part in the raid.”
Damn it.
Was this still possible?
If Broken truly intended to help these dragonkin defeat the Legendary-grade monster, this was the only way out of this mess.
And it was still a better option than waiting for the dragons to break through the barrier and slaughter them all.
“I have high water-elemental damage. I can fill the missing role. What if we try to take down the Demon Hand while we still have time?”
The Elder Wing fell silent, clearly weighing Broken’s words. “What is your reason for offering this?”
Broken met his gaze without hesitation. “Your tribe is in danger. And all of this is happening because of the Dragon Princess. Yes, I am her ally. I am looking for her. And I know that if she were here, she wouldn’t just stand by and let this happen.”
He let that sink in before continuing. “But if you still have doubts… then let me put it simply. I will take all the loot from the monster. You get what you need—your barrier, restored and stronger than before. We take this chance, and if it works, it might just be enough to make those dragons leave for good.”
Zephero was silent again, his expression unreadable.
Then, after a moment, he asked:
“How do we even reach the Demon Hand? We are surrounded on all sides.”
Broken let a small smirk cross his lips.
“I have a way.”
