Chapter 815: Chapter 815 – The Price of Pride
This was getting even more dangerous!
Broken kept darting between the demon hand’s relentless attacks, now made even deadlier by that massive lava sword. The molten blade slashed wildly in all directions, its speed utterly insane!
Damn!
Broken was forced to retreat multiple times, barely avoiding strikes that were simply impossible to dodge.
And the moment his water domain lost its hold on the demon hand, things got even worse—the towering lava tornado pillars began spinning even faster, whipping across the battlefield with terrifying force.
This was bad!
Gritting his teeth, Broken forced himself forward, pushing through the chaos to reestablish his water domain on the target. But just as he closed in—
SLASH!
A single, direct hit landed on him. The impact sent Broken flying. Luckily, he was thrown upward instead of being blasted into the lava below. Twisting his body midair, he quickly regained control and dove straight back into the fight, refusing to back down.
Zephero was still going strong, his attacks relentless as he clashed directly with the demon hand. Their swords met in an earth-shaking impact, the sheer force of their collision reverberating through the entire cavern.
Because let’s be real—this wasn’t a normal raid. No group of players would ever attempt something like this, especially when their levels were so far below that of a Legendary-grade monster!
If it weren’t for the fact that these dragonkin had no other choice, even Broken would have hesitated before taking on a raid this insane.
And then—
Another three dragonkin were struck down, their bodies flung mercilessly into the lava pool below!
One of them was even a tanker!
With their frontline dwindling fast, this battle was creeping dangerously close to the impossible.
Was it time for Broken to use Golden Paragon?
That would be a last resort. The moment its duration ended, he would be completely useless.
His eyes scanned the battlefield again. The demon hand was taking damage—there were visible wounds across its form. But the rate of destruction was far worse for the attackers.
At this pace… the dragonkin would be wiped out long before they could bring this thing down.
And then—Broken’s attention was suddenly pulled away as a message from SexyGrill popped up.
What?! Vallrick?!
He whipped his head toward the entrance of the cavern chamber—and there he was.
The mysterious player stood at the entrance, looking like he had just arrived.
What the hell is he doing here?! This is the worst possible place for him!
“Broken! Why did you leave me behind?!” That incredibly annoying player shouted at the top of his lungs.
“Vallrick! Get the hell out of here! You won’t last a second in this fight!” Broken yelled back, his voice sharp with urgency.
But Vallrick didn’t budge. Instead, he shouted something even more absurd.
“Broken! I can do something! But I need to deal damage to that monster first!”
Before Broken could even process that ridiculous statement, another massive wave of lava surged through the battlefield—heading straight for Vallrick.

There was no way he could survive an attack like that.
This guy…!
It wasn’t that Broken didn’t want to invite him into the fight, but with his ridiculously low level, a single hit would be enough to instantly kill him.
But then—
Even as Broken tried to keep his focus on the demon hand, he saw it.
Vallrick dodged the incoming lava wave.
Not just that—he was now running along the cavern walls, his feet gripping the rock as if he had some kind of ability that allowed him to do it.
SexyGrill, still caught between the chaos of the battle, shouted at him. “Vallrick! Why the hell do you want to deal damage to this monster?!”
Vallrick’s response was desperate but firm. “Please! Trust me! I can do something—I just need to land one attack! Just one hit, that’s all I need! Someone, help me get close!”
Broken clenched his jaw. “Vallrick! This isn’t a play! You’re going to die the second it lands a hit on you!”
Molten lava rained wildly across the battlefield, splashing and scorching everything in its path. But Vallrick—kept running along the cavern walls, dodging every single one of them with almost infuriating ease. And, as expected, he just would not shut up.
“Someone, just get me close! I only need one hit!”
“Vallrick! Your damn quest means nothing if you die, you idiot! Get out of here, now!” SexyGrill yelled, still trying to drive him away.
But then—someone actually responded to him.
“Vallrick! I’ll get you closer. How close do you need to be?!”
It was SexyBloom.
Vallrick, still sprinting along the wall, actually faltered for a second, shocked that someone was listening to him. “Just close enough for me to throw my dagger…!”
SexyBloom, who had been zipping through the battlefield, saving dragonkin from falling into the lava, suddenly turned toward Broken, seeking his approval.
Broken, still hyper-focused on the battle, barely spared a glance before replying in the party chat.
[Broken]: “Do it if you think it’s the right call, Bloom.”
SexyBloom nodded. Her face was tense, her expression sharp with determination. Without wasting another second, she maneuvered through the battlefield, weaving past the raging tornado pillars of lava, closing in on Vallrick.
And just as she reached him—
WHOOSH!
She grabbed the back of his armor and yanked him into the air—just before a massive splash of lava crashed down, narrowly missing them both.
SexyBloom had been keeping her distance for most of the battle—because, truthfully, she wasn’t built to take heavy hits. What she was doing now was incredibly risky.
But at the same time, Broken couldn’t do it himself—he had to stay focused on keeping the water domain applied to the demon hand. The dragonkin were all locked into their own roles, each one too busy to spare any attention elsewhere.
Up above, SexyBloom darted through the air, dragging Vallrick along as she dodged the pure chaos of the battlefield.
“King Broken, do you need us to assist in getting him closer?” The Elder Wing, Zephero, called out.
Broken’s eyes flicked toward SexyBloom again.
What the hell was Vallrick even planning? He kept saying he needed to “deal damage”—but what kind of damage could possibly turn this battle around?
This guy was just making things even more complicated. And he hadn’t even given a proper explanation for why this was so important.
But… if SexyBloom got taken out here, things would become even worse. Because if she died, the flying ability she had been lending to Broken and SexyGrill would disappear as well.
Damn it.
Broken clenched his jaw before finally giving his answer.
“Yes! Please assist!”
He had no choice.
And just like that, the dragonkin moved in, shielding both SexyBloom and Vallrick from incoming damage. Some of them even took severe injuries because of it.
Vallrick, you better do something useful. Because if he didn’t—their sacrifices would be for nothing.
The battle had already reached a terrifying level of intensity. More and more fighters were sustaining critical injuries, and the number of casualties was climbing fast. Seven dragonkin had already lost their lives. Two more were badly wounded and had no choice but to retreat.
Broken gritted his teeth, keeping his focus locked on his role—until suddenly, a flash of light caught his attention from the other side of the battlefield.
And at that exact moment—
Vallrick threw his dagger.
The blade flew at incredible speed, slicing through the air before—
Vanishing.
The second it touched the demon hand’s lava form, it just… disappeared.
What the hell?!
Vallrick?!
Broken’s frustration was about to explode—until he noticed something.
And judging by the stunned reaction from the Elder Wing, he saw it too.
The monster’s level…!

[…Marquis Sabnock Lv. 264]

[…Marquis Sabnock Lv. 260]
How the fuck?!
The monster’s level dropped by 20?!
Because of Vallrick’s attack?!
Broken could hardly believe it—but the numbers didn’t lie.
That one dagger throw had somehow shaved twenty whole levels off the Legendary-grade monster.
What kind of bullshit broken skill is that?!
Broken’s head snapped toward Vallrick, who was now being carried away from the battlefield by SexyBloom.
“What?! Are you a Divine Champion?”
His voice was almost drowned out by the chaos of battle, but the shock in his expression was unmistakable. SexyGrill, just as stunned, turned toward the mysterious player as well.
And then—
“Yes!” Vallrick shouted back, loud and clear. “I’m a Pride Champion… I can sacrifice my own levels to decrease an enemy’s level too, hehehe.”
The annoying bastard actually grinned like he was proud of himself.
Damn it!
Would it have killed him to just say this from the start instead of pulling that whole dramatic stunt?!
