Let's Train Heroine - Chapter 339
Chapter 339: Heroine Getting Knowledge
In the vast, sprawling Endless World, there were countless continents, but Maris and her friends only knew of two: Zero Continent and Infinite Continent. They weren’t even sure what was going on in Infinite Continent—it was more of a rumor than a reality. Zero Continent, on the other hand, was their stomping ground, and, it was complicated.
Zero Continent had 72 fully established Regions—basically the big leagues where the elite lived—and millions of Semi-Regions, which were like amateur leagues trying to level up. Among these, the Saint’s Region was a Semi-Region, and Maris and her crew had one ambitious goal: turn their Semi-Region into a fully recognized Region.
To graduate to Region status, they had to check off four major tasks:
1. Unite the Saint’s Region under one banner (because chaos isn’t cute).
2. Get recognition from the big-name Regions (fancy approval stamps required).
3. Create a unique culture and system to make their region stand out.
4. Pass a set of grueling trials set by the Council of Elders.
Luckily, the team was brilliant. Aurelia had connections with Region Masters, so getting recognition wasn’t too hard. Kerum used the temple and goddess worship to bring everyone in the Saint’s Region under one faith. Lucan and Virnda added some spice by borrowing cultural ideas from Earth.
But the final hurdle—the trials—was a mystery even to Virnda, who had played the game. After all, the second game story start decade later, and the main character was Maris’s daughter.
Now, about power systems. Every Semi-Region could create its own ranking system, and Aurelia had crafted a simple but epic hierarchy:
D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS, Kingdom Class, Empire Class, and Region Class. However, there was a catch. Once outside the Saint’s Region, Region-level powers got nerfed.
In the 72 Region Area, the power system was entirely different:
Novice Class (Seven Levels)
Master Class
Warlord Class
Sovereign Class
Legendary Class (each with three stages).
Currently, Lucan was at Novice Level Seven, just a step away from Master Class. The team—Lucan, Maris, Nyx, Bing, Virnda, and Aurelia—was heading straight into the lion’s den: the 72 Regions Area. Their mission? Pass the trials, level up their Saint’s Region, and make history by turning 72 Regions into 73 Regions.

Aurelia leaned back, grinning as she looked at the group of confused faces around the fire. It was a peaceful night, but the tension of the upcoming trials in the mysterious 72 Regions was making everyone edgy.
“Alright, listen up,” Aurelia began, her voice taking on a more serious tone, but with that signature cheeky glint in her eyes. “The next Region we’re going to—The Verdant Labyrinth—is something else, imagine endless forests and twisting vines, so thick they practically swallow you whole. You can’t tell where the sky begins and the trees end. It’s a maze of living plants—vines that move on their own, trees that talk if you listen long enough, and flowers that change colors depending on your mood. So, yeah, be careful if you’re angry. The flowers might just turn into aggressive pollen shooters.”
“Great,” Lucan muttered. “Sounds like a vacation spot.”
Aurelia ignored him, waving her hand like she had better things to do than respond to his sarcasm. “It’s not all bad. The people there, called Verdants, are a bit… odd. They’re deeply connected to the plant life around them. Their skin is greenish, like moss or the leaves of a tree, and their hair? Well, it’s made of vine tendrils that grow and shift depending on their emotions. They can literally grow a new head of hair overnight if they’re feeling particularly inspired.” She paused and eyed the group, grinning. “So if any of you fancy a new hairstyle, now’s your chance.”
Maris raised an eyebrow. “Uh, vine hair?”
“Yep, and I hear it’s a real pain when you’re trying to comb it.” Aurelia leaned in closer, lowering her voice. “Now, here’s the fun part: The trials. I don’t know exactly what they’ll be. The Elders of the Verdant Labyrinth run them, and they’re a mysterious bunch. They’ll tell us what to do when we get there, but they love riddles. They like making people think… and then making them regret it.” She gave a mock shudder. “No one ever walks away from those trials with their sanity fully intact. I, uh, hope you’re all prepared for that.”
Lucan frowned. “Hold on, what’s this about the Council of Elders? And why is it that every time I hear ‘Council,’ it sounds like a bunch of old people in robes making terrible decisions?”
Aurelia chuckled. “Oh, the Council of Elders. They’re a bit more than a bunch of robed old folks, although I do recommend avoiding their ‘summer festival’—you know, if you enjoy your dignity. The Council is made up of individuals who’ve created Regions and maintained them for 100 years. Once a Region reaches full status and able to maintain it for 100 years, the creator becomes an Elder. And guess what? I am going to be one of them soon enough.”
“You?” Nyx asked, incredulous. “You’re going to be an Elder?”
“Yup. Once our Saint’s Region becomes a fully recognized Region, I’ll be crowned Empress. And in exactly 100 years, I’ll join the Council of Elders. By then, I’ll be one of the super powerful grandmas who tell everyone what to do. You know, the ones with all the answers… or at least, that’s what I tell myself now.” Aurelia grinned wickedly. “You’ll all be bowing down to me and my wisdom—whether you like it or not!”
Bing raised his hand, clearly baffled. “So… if you’re going to be an Elder, does that mean you can boss everyone around? Can I get a discount on my next meal?”

Aurelia gave him a wink. “Oh, definitely. I’ll make sure everything is free… except your dignity.” She paused, looking serious. “But if we want to join the Council, we need to pass the trial in the Verdant Labyrinth first. It’ll test our resolve, our wit, and our ability to… not get eaten by carnivorous plants. But no pressure!”
Lucan crossed his arms. “So, the Elders are people who’ve created and maintained regions for a hundred years… and then what? Do they just sit in their big chairs and talk about the good old days?”
Aurelia grinned. “Oh, they sit, all right. But not just in chairs. They’ve got a whole bunch of magical chairs that let them talk and decide important stuff. They’ve also got this cool system where, once you join, you’re practically immortal—so they’ll have all the time in the world to remind everyone how great they were back in the day. But first, we need to survive the trials. And to do that, we need to get through the Verdant Labyrinth. If we pass, we’ll be able to call ourselves a Region, and I’ll finally get my shiny new title.”
“Great,” Maris said, raising an eyebrow. “So, after we survive the plants, we get to deal with you bossing us around for the next hundred years?”
Aurelia gave her a mock-serious look. “Absolutely. Get used to it.”
