Chapter 108: Recruiting Heaven’s Dawn
Now back in his own territory, Ethan naturally took charge, treating everyone to a full day of fun with plenty of good food, of course.

By the afternoon, after stocking up on household supplies, Leo and Williams tactfully decided not to stay at the villa. Instead, they headed to the gym. As Williams put it, “Better than crashing in some sketchy rooftop shack.”

The two gaming capsules Ethan had ordered for them arrived at the gym’s third floor and were set up without a hitch.

As for why there were only two capsules, Ethan had bluntly stated to Victor:

“Why would you waste your three days off gaming? This is a very important period for your married life. Besides, your custom-built dual capsule will be ready by then.”

Victor had been so touched by those words that he looked like he might cry, while Celia’s face turned bright red. She quickly dragged Lyla away for some girl talk.

Lyla, having company, was in high spirits. The two of them spent the entire afternoon shopping, loading up on little trinkets.

Meanwhile, the three guys were utterly exhausted. Their feet ached, and they couldn’t wrap their heads around how women could walk so much in high heels.

“Vic, I kinda miss the jungle,” Leo muttered.

Williams nodded in agreement. “Right? How is walking around the city more exhausting than running through the jungle all day? Next time you guys go shopping, count us out. We’ll leave you two lovebirds to it.”

“Yeah, yeah, we’re out,” Leo added before grabbing Williams and making a break for it.

Ethan and Victor exchanged looks—defeated, resigned, and utterly spent.

Ahead, Lyla turned around and asked, “Where are those two weirdos?”

She was referring to Skyblade and SeraphWarrior, the nicknames she had given them.

Lyla had spent a lot of time with them back in the Starter Zone. In fact, she had been with them in-game more often than she had been with Ethan.

While Ethan had left the Starter Zone early, Lyla and the others had stuck around, grinding dungeons together. Skyblade and the others never went anywhere without her.

But while Ethan had been stuck in the Underworld for several days, Lyla had been in the hospital, taking care of him, missing a lot of game time.

That gap had left her behind in levels.

Not that it lasted long. A single forbidden spell, and she caught up in an instant. Though, in her rush, she had forgotten to summon her pet. Otherwise, that little guy would have leveled up quite a bit too.

Ethan and Victor suffered through the rest of the shopping trip until, to their horror, the girls suggested a movie.

Finally, a break. Even two men as physically strong as them had been reduced to shambling wrecks after a day of shopping.

At the theater, they both passed out, snoring lightly, only to be rudely awakened by sharp pinches to their sides.

Ethan shot up. “Movie’s over? Time to go home!”

Lyla’s sharp glare brought him back to reality.

“Uh… I mean, last night was exhausting. Really exhausting…”

Failing to come up with a better excuse, he awkwardly shut up.

By the time they got back to the villa, it was already past ten. Ethereal had been online for over four hours.

After changing into his sleepwear, Ethan slipped into Lyla’s room, messing around with her until she fled to the bathroom to clean up. Satisfied, he returned to his own room, showered, and climbed into the gaming capsule.

Logging into Ethereal, the first thing Ethan did was check the leaderboard.

Three days had passed, and quite a few players had already reached level 22.

Most were at least level 20 by now.

That old man Morzan claimed he still had an unfinished task, which was why he couldn’t officially awaken the Divine Bloodline yet.

What task was it exactly? Ethan had no clue. The moment he logged in, a message from Skyblade popped up.

“Boss, I heard a lot of guilds are trying to clear Howling Caverns.”

“Let them have fun clearing it,” Ethan replied casually.

“So when are we running it?” Skyblade asked.

Ethan checked the time. “Aside from the six of us, gather 24 more. Meet at the dungeon entrance at midnight.”

“We’re down to five. Without Slashblade, we’re short a solid healer, which makes things harder.”

Right. Ethan had forgotten Victor was busy with his honeymoon night and wouldn’t be logging in today. Just as he was about to reply, a system notification popped up.

[Private message received from Heaven’s Dawn.]

Heaven’s Dawn? Ethan paused for a second before remembering, it was that teenage girl he had met at the Crowling Nest.

Ethan opened the message.

Heaven’s Dawn: “Big bro, can your guild take me in? I tried joining a few, but they all said I was too young and wouldn’t bring me to raids.”

Ethan chuckled to himself.

He had already planned on recruiting top-tier players, and Heaven’s Dawn was at the top of his list.

He’d given Victor and the others a list of names to recruit, but the trio had been too busy leveling, grinding for loot, and leading dungeon runs to focus on the task.

Now, it was clear, he needed someone to handle logistics for him.

He and his officers were frontline fighters, but they had a glaring hole in their operations: no one to run the back-end of the guild.

Unfortunately, he didn’t have a trustworthy candidate for that yet. He’d have to take things one step at a time.

“Sure, we’re about to raid Howling Caverns. We need a strong healer, want in?” Ethan replied.

In his past life, once Heaven’s Dawn became famous, people had dug up her history. She had been seen as someone blessed by the game itself. Despite choosing a so-called weak class—Druid, she had always managed to get her hands on top-tier gear.

Her healing output regularly outperformed same-level Priests in every raid team she joined.

Heaven’s Dawn: “Yes! Finally, I can do a real dungeon!”

They set up a meeting spot, and she arrived quickly. After officially joining the guild, Ethan messaged Skyblade again.

“I found a Druid for healer. Just bring 24 more.”

Skyblade’s reply came instantly.

“A Druid? Ugh, fine.”

Clearly, he wasn’t convinced. Most players still considered Druids second-rate healers.

Ethan, however, knew better.

Standing beside him, Heaven’s Dawn looked petite, but her gear told a different story. Several pieces of Gold-tier equipment shimmered faintly on her.

More importantly, her entire set was enhanced to +10.

Ethan’s eyes widened slightly.
