LEVEL EVERYTHING UP in my Eldritch Tribe - Chapter 385
Chapter 385: Up
Lyerin tilted his head back, gazing up at the mesmerizing expanse above. The floating islands hovered like celestial fortresses in the air, their edges crowned with waterfalls that cascaded down endlessly into the unknown. Some of the islands glowed faintly, bathed in a golden light that seemed to emanate from the rocks themselves, while others shimmered with silvery hues, as if stars had descended to call them home.
He turned to the girls, his lips curling into a sly smile. “Why not go to the sky next?”
The girls immediately perked up at his suggestion, their eyes following his gaze upward.
Corora was the first to break the silence, her voice filled with curiosity. “The sky? What’s so special about the sky here? I mean, it’s… just the sky, right? Clouds, air, maybe a bird or two? Or are those floating islands really as magical as they look?”
Cornelia chimed in, her tone more skeptical. “Floating islands are interesting and all, but what’s with the dramatics, Lyerin? You’re looking at the sky like it holds some sort of divine secret. What aren’t you telling us?”
Maria, her hands clasped in front of her, tilted her head thoughtfully. “Is it safe to go up there? It looks… distant, like it’s a place we aren’t meant to touch. Does anything live up there? And if it does, is it friendly?”
Elena crossed her arms, her adventurous spirit ignited. “Oh, come on! Don’t you all feel the pull? Floating islands? Endless skies? That sounds like a playground for the brave! But Lyerin, if you’re suggesting this, I take it you know something we don’t. What’s the catch?”
Sophia adjusted her glasses, her tone analytical. “Floating islands are fascinating from a geological and magical perspective. How do they stay suspended like that? Are they tethered to some unseen force, or is it the air itself that holds them? And what about the ecosystems? Are they self-sustaining? I have so many questions.”
Lydia giggled, her excitement palpable. “What if the air up there tastes different? Or what if it’s thinner and makes you dizzy? And those waterfalls—where do they go? Do they just vanish into nothingness? I want to see it all!”
Fiona leaned forward, her eyes glinting with mischief. “But Lyerin, what’s the real story here? You wouldn’t just suggest the sky for no reason. Are you hiding some treasure up there? Or maybe there’s a secret city? Spit it out!”
Emily, ever the quiet observer, spoke softly. “The sky has always been a place of mystery. Even back on Earth, it was something we could see but never truly reach. Here, it feels… closer, yet still untouchable. What makes it so precious, Lyerin?”
Natalie, her curiosity bubbling over, added, “And how do we even get there? Do we climb? Fly? Is there some portal? The thought of stepping onto a floating island feels like walking into a dream.”
Lyerin chuckled, letting their barrage of questions wash over him like a wave. He waited until their voices began to settle before answering, his tone deliberate and teasing. “You all ask so many questions. It’s not just the floating islands that make the sky special here. It’s the sky itself. The air you breathe up there? It’s the purest, most expensive thing in this world. Every breath is worth more than gold. It’s an elixir, a gift from the heavens. And the islands… they’re more than just rocks floating in the air. They hold secrets, treasures, and mysteries you can’t even begin to imagine.”
The girls exchanged glances, their curiosity deepening.
“What treasures?” Corora asked eagerly.
“What secrets?” Maria followed up.
“Are there creatures up there?” Elena added, her eyes alight.
Lyerin raised a hand, silencing them with a grin. “Patience. You’ll see soon enough. But first, you need to decide—what’s the first thing you want to do when we get up there?”
The group fell into a deep discussion, their voices overlapping as each proposed their ideas.
“I want to explore the edges of the islands!” Corora said, her excitement contagious. “What if we find something incredible just by looking down at the world below?”
“Forget the edges,” Cornelia countered. “I want to see what’s at the center of the islands. There’s bound to be something amazing hidden there!”
“I think we should follow the waterfalls,” Maria suggested. “Maybe they lead somewhere unexpected, like a secret chamber or an underground lake.”
“I want to jump from one island to another!” Elena declared. “Imagine the thrill of leaping through the sky!”
Sophia shook her head. “No, we need to take a systematic approach. First, we survey the area, then map out key points of interest before diving into exploration.”
Lydia laughed. “Systematic? That’s boring! Let’s just wander and see where the adventure takes us!”
Fiona smirked. “I say we find the highest point on the islands and claim it as our own. Who doesn’t want to stand on top of the world?”
“I’d like to find a quiet spot and just… breathe,” Emily said softly. “To feel the purity of the air Lyerin described.”
“And I want to find out if there are any inhabitants,” Natalie concluded. “Maybe they have stories or knowledge we can learn from.”
The debate went on, each girl defending her idea passionately, their voices rising and falling in a symphony of excitement and anticipation. Lyerin watched them with amusement, his arms crossed as he leaned casually against a nearby rock.
Finally, they turned to him, their eyes shining. “We’ve decided,” Corora announced. “We’re going to do all of it. Every single thing.”

Lyerin raised an eyebrow, laughing softly. “Ambitious, aren’t you? Well, I suppose the sky isn’t going anywhere. Let’s see if you can handle its wonders.”
The girls nodded in unison, their determination unwavering. With their plan set, they prepared themselves for the journey ahead, their hearts brimming with anticipation for what awaited them in the endless expanse above.
Lyerin’s face lit up with a cheerful grin as he clapped his hands together, addressing the girls. “Sure! Why not? Let’s do it all! But first…” His voice trailed off, his eyes narrowing mischievously as he turned his gaze toward a dark, jagged cave in the distance. “We’re going to need a ride.”
