Magus Supremacy - Chapter 51
Chapter 51: Summoned Chapter 51: Summoned Chapter 51 *1 Week Later* It had been a week since the devastating incident in the town where Grey lived.
The town was slowly but surely recovering.
Damaged buildings were being repaired, while new ones rose in place of those that had been beyond repair.
Despite Grey’s harsh rebuke of the townspeople for their sudden outpouring of gratitude, they continued to show up, offering their thanks.
The constant stream of visitors only served to fuel his anger.
They had been nothing but cruel and dismissive before, yet now they were desperate to praise him.
He couldn’t stand it.
So, in frustration, he left his house and ventured into the forest.
It was the place where he had always trained, and for the past week, it had become his sanctuary.
Every day, he honed his skills, pushing himself further.
The tension with Jesse, however, persisted.
Despite her attempts to get closer, he kept pushing her away.
He couldn’t forgive her for the role she played in putting his mother in danger.
His resentment festered, and nothing Clara said or did seemed to alleviate the growing distance between them.
Each day, Grey trained relentlessly, especially focusing on his fire magic, which was still at its weakest.
He had made significant progress, but he knew there was still a long way to go.
As he stood in the forest, the air was thick with the energy of his magic.
A fireball shot toward a nearby tree, but before it could hit, a sudden gust of wind blasted it apart.
Grey, standing a few meters away, crossed his arms in an X shape and glared at the tree as if imagining it to be his enemy.
“Wind Magic!
Wind Blades!” he commanded, and the air around him vibrated.
Several sharp blades of wind materialized, swirling around him before he swung his arm forward.
The blades sliced through the tree with blistering speed, leaving deep gashes in the bark.
As they dissipated, the damage was evident: the tree was now covered in jagged marks, a testament to the power of his wind magic.
“Now that’s what I’m talking about!” Grey grinned, stepping forward to inspect his work.
“Repeated use of my wind magic has made it stronger, even if the improvements aren’t immediately obvious.
It’s still progress.” He examined his mana status with a sense of satisfaction.
— Name: Grey Dawn Status: Mage Mana: 55/55 Elements: Three Wind: 28 (Colour grade: blue) Earth: 35 (Colour grade: yellow) Fire: 30 (Colour grade: purple) — “Not bad,” he mused to himself, a smile tugging at his lips.
He turned toward the small cave he’d created for himself but didn’t enter.
Instead, he headed in the direction of the nearby volcano, the heat of which could help him cultivate his fire magic.

The volcano was just thirty meters away, and as he approached it, he crossed his legs and sat down at the foot of the mighty mountain.
Closing his eyes, he sank into meditation.
‘After weeks of searching, I’ve finally discovered the secret to improving my fire affinity,’ Grey thought as he took in the searing heat around him.
‘I need to meditate in a fiery place to absorb the mana infused with fire and heat from the volcano.’ Every day, Grey followed the same routine.
He trained in the forest, pushing his magic to its limits.
When his mana began to dwindle, he’d come here to meditate, allowing the volcanic energy to replenish him and boost his fire magic.
‘My wind magic is still ahead of the rest.
It’s the easiest to raise-just constant use and repetition.
But fire…
fire requires more attention, more patience.’ His thoughts flickered to the fight with the Talonus.
‘I can’t believe I fought head-to-head with a level 4 beast.
If I hadn’t unlocked three affinities, I’m sure I would’ve died.
If I only had one affinity…
there’s no way I would have survived.
But it’s thanks to Noir that I’m still alive.
Without his pep talk, I would’ve surrendered to the Talonus and let it kill me.’ Grey sighed, his mind wandering as he meditated.
‘But since that day, Noir hasn’t spoken to me.
It hasn’t come out at all.’ Suddenly, Grey’s core vibrated, signaling a surge of power.
His eyes opened, and a smile spread across his face.
“Battery full!
Time to head home.” He stood, brushing off the dust from his pants and walking slowly back toward the village.
His hands were shoved casually in his pockets, his mind wandering.
‘I need money, and soon.
But how am I supposed to make a living when there are hardly any beasts around here?
Even if I manage to find some, their cores won’t be worth much-they’re all low-tier.’ He frowned as his thoughts turned to the Bronze Land, where stronger beasts lurked, offering better rewards.
‘But how would I explain that to Mum if I disappear for a few days?’ He sighed, his pace quickening as he neared his house.
As he approached, he noticed something strange.
Several figures stood in front of his house, an ominous feeling creeping into his gut.
His instincts kicked in, and with a flash of wind magic, he was instantly standing in front of the group, the wind whipping around him.
His mother stood in front of the men, and they froze when they saw him, their faces pale.
“Oh great!
The one you were looking for is finally here!” Clara exclaimed, her voice laced with relief.
Grey raised an eyebrow, eyeing the men who now stood before him.
One of them gulped nervously, clearly intimidated by the aura of power that radiated off Grey.
‘This…
this is the mage who saved the town?
The one who was supposedly a cripple before becoming mysteriously powerful?
I don’t think the stories were exaggerated at all,’ one of the men thought as he watched Grey’s effortless approach.
One of the men stepped forward, trying to maintain a confident air despite the palpable tension.
“Grey Dawn?” “Yes.
Who’s asking?” Grey replied, his tone casual, though a smirk played at the edges of his lips.
“We are here on behalf of the town lord.
You’ve been summoned.
Failure to comply…
will lead to terrible consequences,” the man declared, a subtle hint of menace in his voice.
Grey’s smirk deepened, and the fire around his hand flared, a reminder of the raw power at his disposal.
“Is that a threat?” he asked, his voice dripping with amusement.
The man hesitated, but before he could respond, Grey’s aura intensified, making the air feel thick and heavy with pressure.
The wind around him picked up, whipping in erratic spirals.
“I’m not interested in threats.
If you have business with me, speak quickly.” — {A/N} Good news, everyone!
