Chapter 1093: Unexpected Memories
Satisfied with her husband’s words, Lu Jueyu declared while patting his shoulder, “Don’t worry, Husband. I will protect you if any random women try to harass you.”
Li Chenmo laughed at her words and nodded, “Then I will leave my safety in your hands, Wife.”
“No problem, leave it to me!” Lu Jueyu replied confidently.
After breakfast, the couple stayed in the space to continue packing mixed nuts. These were intended as thank-you gifts, with each pack containing a small handful of nuts, about 20 grams.
Although the portion was small, they still had cookies prepared in the capital. By adding a few milk candies and cookies to the mixed nuts package, the small bags looked thoughtful and appealing.
After they finished packing the gift boxes, the two of them headed to the warehouse to start packing the beauty products.
Unlike usual jars, Lu Jueyu used smaller plastic containers resembling modern-era samples to pack the products. Each container held only 2 to 3 ml of cream or liquid.
Although the quantity was small, the samples were meant to be given away for free, so there was no need to provide more. After all, no one would refuse free items and the purpose of this free gift was to let potential customers learn about the product’s effects.
While they worked, Li Chenmo suddenly asked, “Wife, do you have any plans to expand your business?”
Hearing her husband’s question, Lu Jueyu looked at him curiously and asked, “Husband, do you have any ideas?”
Li Chenmo thought for a moment and said, “I was thinking of asking my men if their family members would be interested in selling your products. Instead of relying on the black market’s middlemen, it would be more practical to sell them through recommendations. Not only would this reduce risks, but it would also help build connections.”
As Lu Jueyu listened, she smiled and asked, “Husband, what made you think of this idea?”
Li Chenmo didn’t want to hide anything from his wife and explained, “I noticed something during my visit to the capital’s black market.”
“Most middlemen there sell daily necessities like grains, clothes, fabric, and meat. But I didn’t see anyone selling beauty products. Whitening creams are in high demand but industrial coupons are required when purchasing which limits people’s purchasing power. Due to this, this market has great potential.”
“For our county town and the surrounding cities, we can leave the operations to Houzi and let him be the distributor. For the villages and other areas, we can form cooperative deals with others as distributors or hire salespeople.”
“As for the capital,” he continued, “we can divide it into two or three sections. Bai Xue’er can become our distributor and manage those regions. As our family’s in-laws, the Pan family will keep our safety as the priority.”
“For the southern, eastern, and northern areas, we can involve my men’s family members. As long as they benefit fairly, we won’t have to worry about dishonesty.”
Hearing her husband’s strategic plan, Lu Jueyu smiled and thought, ‘As expected of the president of Yilu Group—he is as sharp as ever.’
Seeing his wife was deep in thought, Li Chenmo didn’t interrupt and let her consider his proposal. After a while, he noticed her smiling.
Lu Jueyu looked at her husband and said, “Husband, I’m not as skilled as you are in business. Can you help me handle this matter?”
Her words filled Li Chenmo with pride and happiness. He was proud that she valued his talents and happy that she trusted and depended on him.
“Wife, leave everything to me. You just need to count the money,” he replied with a grin.
Seeing her husband’s delight, Lu Jueyu laughed. In their previous life, he had said the same thing. He always handed over all his money and salary while she was only responsible for spending it.
As the thought crossed her mind, flashes of foreign memories surfaced. Though brief, they brought back pieces she had forgotten. With these newfound memories, she looked at her husband in shock.
She had always believed they were only boyfriend and girlfriend in their previous life. But with these newfound memories, she realized they had lived together for years and even registered their marriage.
No wonder her husband knew her preferences better than she did. They had spent so many years together. But if they were so happy, what had caused her to leave him and end up in a coma for so long?
Noticing her expression of shock and confusion, Li Chenmo gently held her hand and asked with a hint of worry in his tone, “Wife, what’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?”
His words brought her back to reality. For a moment, she thought she saw multiple images of him. Feeling dizzy, she closed her eyes briefly. When she reopened them, she saw her husband was watching her with concern.
“Wife?” he called again, his voice anxious.
Lu Jueyu squeezed his hands and said with a smile, “I’m fine, just a little dizzy.”

Thinking she was overworked, Li Chenmo suggested, “Wife, let’s take a break.”
Nodding, Lu Jueyu returned to the house and lay on the recliner while her husband went inside the house. Shortly after, he returned with a glass of milk.
“Wife, drink this,” he said as he handed her the glass.
Lu Jueyu took a few sips and said, “Thank you, Husband.”
Knowing she wouldn’t finish it, Li Chenmo drank the rest of the milk in a few gulps and brought the empty glass to the kitchen. When he came back, he carried a plate of fruit.
After eating some fruit, Lu Jueyu felt better and asked, “Husband, when do you plan to go to the mountain again?”
“Do you want to go to the mountain?” he asked her back.
Nodding at his words, Lu Jueyu explained, “I bought some seeds and plan to plant them in the mountains. Do you remember the open fields we found last time?”
“Yes,” he said, “you want to plant those fields?”
