It took over an hour for the wedding procession to reach the Lu family’s house. Standing at the gate, the matchmaker hired by the Lu family smiled brightly when she saw them and announced, “The groom is here!”

Hearing this, everyone came out to greet them at the gate. At the request of Mother Pan and Father Pan, they had decided not to make things difficult for Li Lingyun and his family.

After exchanging auspicious words with the matchmaker, Zhang Dongmei handed her a red envelope while Lu Jueyu distributed wedding candies to everyone. Although each person only received a small amount, the candies’ unique taste and beautiful presentation left everyone feeling delighted.

Father and Mother Pan stood by the gate, watching their daughter take a seat on the back of the bicycle while Li Lingyun pedaled. Following behind were members of the Li family, along with friends and relatives.

He handed the box to his second daughter-in-law and said, “Second daughter-in-law, this was left by your mother-in-law for Ah Yun’s wife. Keep it safe.”

Next, he gave her the red envelope, adding, “This is from me. Father wishes both of you a happy marriage and many children.”
