While she pounded her aching arms, Lu Jueyu said while yawning, “Husband, can you let me bathe first? I’m so tired.”

Seeing his wife like this, Li Chenmo bent down and carried her in his arms without hesitation.

“Wife, since you are tired, I will help you bathe. We can save time by bathing together,” he said with a meaningful smile.

Caught off guard by his sudden action, Lu Jueyu clung to his shoulders and patted his back lightly as she protested warily, “Husband, I’m really tired.”

“I know, which is why I’m going to help you bathe. Are you thinking about something else?” he replied casually.

Suspicious of his true motives, but too exhausted to argue, Lu Jueyu relented and let him do as he wished. As they soaked in the warm water, her eyes began to close as her husband massaged her sore muscles.

When the water was cooled, Li Chenmo carried his sleeping wife out of the tub. After drying them both off, he laid her on the bed and covered their naked body with a thin blanket. Pulling her into his embrace, he kissed her gently before falling asleep.

At the same time, in Li Lingyun’s house, Pan Meijia was washing her face with the makeup remover and face soap given by Lu Jueyu.

While she was washing, Li Lingyun filled a wooden tub placed inside the bathroom with mountain spring water. When the tub was 60% full, he added hot water until the temperature was just right.

Afterward, he went to their bedroom and said, “Wife, the water is ready. Go take a bath first.”

Raising an eyebrow at her formal tone, Li Lingyun gave her a meaningful look and said, “Wife, we are husband and wife. There is no need to be polite with me.”

Unaware of her husband’s gaze, Pan Meijia carried the body soap and shampoo given by Lu Jueyu and headed to take her bath.

Watching her retreating figure, Li Lingyun’s eyes darkened as he imagined what would happen later. He decided to take a cold shower in the backyard himself.

This time, he spent more time scrubbing himself clean. He even uses the soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and toothbrush given by his third brother. After making sure he no longer smelled bad, he finally dried himself off and went to the bedroom to change clothes.

Seeing that his wife was still bathing, he took out a waterproof blanket from the cabinet and covered their bed with it. This blanket was a gift from his third brother.

His third brother had explained that using this blanket meant no more washing bed sheets and blankets after being intimate with his wife. It was easy to clean, odor-free and prevented any wet spots on the bed.

Though unsure where his third brother had found such a useful item, Li Lingyun recognized its value and was satisfied with the functions.

After arranging the blanket, he filled a thermos with warm honey water and prepared some fruit for snacks, following advice from his eldest brother. He had learned from his eldest brother that honey water could soothe a sore throat, and fruits were good for skin and could recover his wife’s energy after intimacy.

As a novice in bedroom matters, he took his brothers’ suggestions seriously. He also lit two rose-scented candles given by his third sister-in-law, filling the room with a calming fragrance that eased his tiredness and rejuvenated his body.

When Pan Meijia returned, she was surprised by the additions in the bedroom. Looking at the extra blanket on the bed, she said, “Brother Yun, it’s so hot tonight. We don’t need so many blankets.”

Smiling faintly, Li Lingyun locked the door and replied, “That blanket is not for covering our body.”

Drying her hair with a towel, Pan Meijia glanced at him and asked with doubt, “If it’s not used to cover our body, then, what is the use of it? We wouldn’t use it as bed sheets, would we?”

Turning to face her, Li Lingyun licked his dry lips. Walking over to the bed, he didn’t answer her question. Instead, he asked hoarsely, “Wife, are you tired?”

Pan Meijia shifted slightly from the bed when she noticed her husband’s dangerous gaze and nodded, “Mn, I’m quite tired. We only had a short nap this afternoon.”

Sitting behind her, Li Lingyun placed his hands on her shoulders and said, “Wife, let me give you a massage.”
