After a moment, the dizziness dissipated a little bit and Lu Jueyu smiled weakly as she replied, “I’m fine, Sister-in-law. Just feeling a little dizzy—probably from fatigue.”

Looking at the bright sun overhead, Bai Luyun said, “Sister-in-law, let’s go inside. The sun has been unbearable lately—you might get heatstroke if you stay outside too long.”

“Alright,” Lu Jueyu agreed with a nod.

As they walked out of the backyard, they saw Li Chenmo waiting for them on the balcony. Seeing his wife’s pale face, he rushed over, held her hand, and asked, “Wife, what’s wrong?”

Hearing this, Bai Luyun glanced at him with a smile. Just hearing his words, she could see his worry, which was evident in his voice and gaze.

Holding her husband’s hand for support, Lu Jueyu reassured him gently, “Husband, I’m fine—just a bit dizzy.”

Li Chenmo frowned when he saw how pale his wife was and said, “Wife, let’s head back home. We can deliver the rest of the thank-you gifts later.”

Feeling unwell, Lu Jueyu readily agreed, “Alright, I will listen to you.”

“Sister-in-law,” Bai Luyun interjected, “why don’t you rest here for a bit before heading back? It looks like you might have heatstroke.”

After hearing this, Li Chenmo nodded in agreement and said, “Thank you for your kindness, Sister-in-law.”

Bai Luyun gestured for them to sit and poured them cups of cold tea. She took a seat across from them and looked at Lu Jueyu with a hint of worry in her eyes.

After taking a sip of tea, Li Chenmo placed a small box and a package on the table, and said, “Sister-in-law, these are just some things we made ourselves. I hope you and the team leader will accept them. Thank you for both of your help during my second brother’s wedding.”

Seeing the exquisite bamboo box, Bai Luyun’s eyes flashed with surprise. It was different from the wedding gifts they had received from Lu Jueyu the previous year. She thought that if the box was so beautiful, the contents must be equally thoughtful.

She knew her husband had worked tirelessly to arrange the use of the village hall for Li Lingyun’s wedding. Therefore, she didn’t feel burdened accepting the gift.

With a warm smile, she said, “Brother Li, there is no need to be so formal. Not to mention that my husband is the team leader, as neighbors, helping each other is just a natural thing to do.”

Lu Jueyu smiled at her words, noting that Bai Luyun’s changes extended beyond her appearance. Her previous calculative and hypocritical demeanor had been replaced by a straightforward and open-minded attitude.

By accepting the gift without hesitation, Bai Luyun showed familiarity and put them at ease. This fostered a closer relationship, transforming their interactions from polite formality to genuine warmth.

Reaching out, Lu Jueyu patted Bai Luyun’s hand and said, “Sister-in-law, we won’t be shy with you in the future if we need any help. And if you need anything, feel free to come to me as well.”

Hearing this, Bai Luyun’s smile grew even brighter. To her, their budding friendship was far more valuable than material gifts. After all, having an ally was far better than having an enemy.

From her recent realizations, she understood that Lu Jueyu might be the key to mending her relationship with her daughter. But there was no rush—her daughter was currently recovering at her brother-in-law’s place. Once she no longer required treatment, she would bring her home.

After some brief conversation, Lu Jueyu said, “Sister-in-law, we will take our leave now.”

Noting the time, Bai Luyun nodded and said, “Alright. I will visit you another day.”

“I will be waiting for you then,” Lu Jueyu replied with a smile.

After they left Han Yuheng’s house, Lu Jueyu and her husband returned to their home. When they arrived, she brought her husband into her space and kept the thank-you gifts there as well.

The moment they entered the space, she noticed that the air had become much fresher, the space became brighter, while the crops and vegetation had grown bigger and denser than before.

Not only had the vegetation become larger and greener, but there was even a faint golden light glowing from the roots and spreading to all parts of the plants.

Standing outside the house, Lu Jueyu tugged at her husband’s hand and asked, “Husband, do you see the golden light coming from the plants?”

Li Chenmo looked around and shook his head.

“Wife, I didn’t see anything. What golden light?” he asked.

Hearing this, Lu Jueyu blinked several times, thinking that she was too tired and might have seen it wrong. But even after she blinked and rubbed her eyes, she still saw the golden light.

Feeling curious, she walked over to the nearest peach tree and saw that the golden light was actually coming from the soil, seeping into the tree through its roots. She could see the light moving inside the tree like veins, bringing more vitality to the tree.

When her gaze landed on the fruits, she was taken aback to see that the fruit’s size was at least 50% larger than before. Reaching out, she picked a peach and took a bite.

The moment the juice burst into her mouth, she felt a warm energy, similar to the energy contained in the lake water, entering her body. Even though she didn’t know the reason for the changes, she was delighted with this discovery.
