Chapter 1129: Cocoon-like Object
Even though he couldn’t see the so-called golden light his wife mentioned, Li Chenmo could feel a strong pull coming from the lake. A deep urge inside him told him to go in that direction.

Suppressing the feeling, he walked over to his wife and said, “Wife, you should go wash up and take a nap.”

After eating the peach, Lu Jueyu no longer felt dizzy or tired. She wanted to tell her husband that she didn’t need a nap, but when she saw the concern in his eyes, she changed her words and nodded, “Okay.”

Hearing this, Li Chenmo smiled, bent down, and said, “Let’s go. I will help you wash.”

Before Lu Jueyu could process his words, she was already being carried by him. Fearing she might fall, she quickly hugged her husband’s shoulders and asked, “Husband, what are you doing?”

Seeing his wife’s panic, Li Chenmo chuckled as he walked to the house and replied, “Carrying you to the bathroom. Don’t worry, I won’t eat you since you are feeling unwell.”

The moment she heard this, Lu Jueyu hit him lightly and said, “You are the one who is worried.”

“Okay, I’m the one who is worried,” Li Chenmo agreed with a smile.

Feeling as if she were punching a cotton pillow, Lu Jueyu could only roll her eyes at her husband and let him help her bathe. She thought she wasn’t tired, but when her husband massaged her while they were soaking in the bathtub, she unknowingly fell asleep.

When Li Chenmo heard his wife’s soft snores, a smile appeared on his face. He placed his palm on her lower abdomen and whispered, “Baby, are you here yet? Mom and Dad are looking forward to your arrival.”

After soaking for a while, he finally came out of the bathtub and carried his wife to the bed. With the waterproof blanket on the bed, he just laid her down directly before using a towel to dry their bodies.

When he was done, he dried her hair and covered her naked body with a thin blanket. After putting on his clothes, Li Chenmo left the house and walked toward the lake.

As he walked, he raised his head and saw that the previously foggy sky had turned into a clear blue one. He wondered if this change had anything to do with the golden light his wife mentioned. While he was thinking, he reached the lake. The moment he saw the scenery in front of him, he was stunned.

In the middle of the lake, a large cocoon-like object as big as a basketball floated on the surface. Countless golden threads wrapped around the object, while red light glowed faintly from within.

Under normal circumstances, when people saw an unknown object, they would feel fear, followed by curiosity. But when Li Chenmo saw the cocoon, he not only didn’t feel afraid, but he also felt a deep connection to it, as if the cocoon were a part of him.

After observing the object for a while, he decided to leave it there since he didn’t sense any danger from it. Although he could swim, the lake was their source of drinking water, so it wasn’t possible for him to just swim toward that thing and pollute their drinking water.

With this thought, he left the lake and walked back to the house. He needed to prepare some food for his wife before she woke up.

Not long after he left, the cocoon-like object shone brighter until it turned into a ball of light and flew toward the house direction at a fast speed. Without anyone noticing, the light entered Lu Jueyu’s body and disappeared instantly.

When Lu Jueyu woke up five hours later, she rubbed her eyes and stretched, feeling refreshed. Lowering her head, she saw her naked body and froze in surprise.

Sitting on the bed, she recalled that she had fallen asleep while bathing. Thinking that her husband must have dried her body and hair, she simply yawned and went to get her clothes.

Since consummating their marriage, she no longer felt shy when her husband saw her body. Over time, she had grown more comfortable around him.

She even dared to fart in his presence now. Before, she would run to the bathroom out of embarrassment. She thought her husband would find her disgusting if she farted around him. Unexpectedly, the first time she couldn’t hold it in and let out a loud fart in front of him, he joined in instead.

In the end, the two of them had to run out of the house because of the smell and laugh for a long time. Since then, their relationship had become closer, as if a previous wall between them had disappeared.

After getting dressed, Lu Jueyu went to the kitchen and saw her husband making noodles. Since he used a machine to knead the dough and shape the noodles, he worked leisurely while humming a tune.

Hearing her footsteps, Li Chenmo turned around and said, “Wife, you are awake. Do you want some noodles?”

Walking over to her husband, Lu Jueyu hugged him and replied, “Husband, I want egg and tomato noodles.”

“Okay. Go have some milk first. I will cook it for you,” Li Chenmo said while kissing her lightly.

Lu Jueyu nodded and went to get a glass of milk for herself. While waiting for her noodles, she sat down to read one of her college textbooks to refresh her knowledge.

After they finished their meal and changed their clothes, they left the space and reappeared in their bedroom. Lu Jueyu took out the thank-you gifts from her space, and they spent the next several hours delivering them.

While the two of them were sending the gifts to the villagers, Xiao Yiguan and Xie Xuanzi were pulling weeds in Doctor Xie’s house. Squatting in the medicinal field, Xiao Yiguan noticed his superior-turned-friend frowning deeply, lost in his thoughts.

Knowing he was in a bad mood, Xiao Yiguan decided not to bother him and went to fetch some river water to water the garden.
