The aroma of the noodles made Lu Jueyu’s mouth water and her stomach grumble. As soon as the noodles were placed in front of her, she eagerly picked up her chopsticks and started eating.

The sourness of the soup immediately satisfied her cravings, and the numbing heat from the chili brought a pleasant tingle to her lips. Slurping the chewy noodles, she savored the umami flavor as the crunchiness of the peanuts and fresh vegetables elevated the taste.

Sitting beside her, Li Chenmo watched his wife eat in surprise. Though she had often praised his noodles, this was the first time he had seen her enjoy them with such enthusiasm. It was as though this bowl of noodles was a world-class delicacy.

Feeling curious, he tasted the broth, noodles, and toppings but found nothing unusual. Despite his confusion, he finished his own bowl without saying anything and waited for her to finish eating. He was only half full and was waiting to eat her leftovers as usual. To his astonishment, his wife ate every last bite this time and left nothing.

After finishing the final drop of soup, Lu Jueyu let out a soft burp and sighed with satisfaction. She rubbed her round belly and complimented him, “Husband, your noodles were amazing. They tasted even better today.”

Noticing her unsatisfied expression, Li Chenmo asked, “Wife, are you full?”

Patting her belly, she frowned slightly. “Well, I’m about 60% full.”

Her sudden increase in appetite startled him, and a wild thought suddenly crossed his mind. Despite his speculations, he kept a calm expression and asked, “Wife, would you like some fruit?”

Lu Jueyu’s eyes lit up at the suggestion and she nodded, “Husband, I would love some strawberries.”

“Alright, wait here. I will get them for you,” Li Chenmo said while clearing the table before he went to get some strawberries in the fruit basket.

Thanks to the space, the strawberries were as fresh as if they had just been harvested. He washed and sliced them, adding a drizzle of honey before placing the bowl in front of his wife.

Seeing the plump, juicy strawberries, Lu Jueyu eagerly picked one up. As she bit into it, she let out a pleased hum and nodded in satisfaction.

Observing his wife closely, Li Chenmo asked, “Wife, do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?”

Thinking he felt guilty for ‘bullying’ her in the bed earlier, Lu Jueyu glared at him and replied, “My back and waist are sore, and my legs feel weak.”

Hearing this, Li Chenmo nodded and asked again, “Aside from that, any other discomfort?”

This time, Lu Jueyu shook her head while chewing another strawberry and replied, “No, I just feel sleepy and very hungry.”

Hearing this, a flash of excitement appeared in Li Chenmo’s eyes. Though he was hopeful, he decided to observe his wife’s condition further before saying anything.

If his guess was correct, it meant they couldn’t indulge in pleasure for at least three months. Thinking back to their recent intensity regarding this matter, he glanced at her belly with a mix of worry and anticipation.

Unaware of her husband’s thoughts, Lu Jueyu continued enjoying her fruit. Only after eating nearly half the bowl did she remember to ask, “Husband, do you want some?”

Pulled out of his thoughts by her sweet voice, Li Chenmo reached out to wipe the juice from her lips before opening his mouth, gesturing for her to feed him. Seeing her husband’s clingy behavior, Lu Jueyu generously fed him a piece.

After finishing their meal, Lu Jueyu wanted to help her husband with his work. However, before she could do anything, he held her hand and let her sit on the swing.

Taking her seat, she looked at him curiously and asked, “Husband, what are you doing?”

Li Chenmo handed her a book and replied, “Wife, didn’t you say your body was sore? Just rest here, and take a nap if you are sleepy. I can handle the work by myself.”

Since she did feel drowsy after eating, Lu Jueyu didn’t insist. So, she nodded and said, “Okay. If you need any help, let me know.”

“Mhmm,” Li Chenmo hummed in agreement before leaning down to kiss her. Then, he returned to work.

At first, Lu Jueyu watched her husband as he worked, enjoying the sight of his firm muscles flexing as he worked. However, as time passed, her eyelids grew heavier, and before she knew it, she had fallen asleep. The book has fallen at her side, and soft snores escaped her slightly parted lips.

Noticing that his wife had fallen asleep, Li Chenmo went into their bedroom and returned with a blanket and two pillows. He positioned the pillows to support her back and adjusted her posture to make her more comfortable. After draping a thin blanket over her stomach, he quietly resumed his work.

Four hours later, Lu Jueyu woke up from her nap. Rubbing her eyes, she looked around and realized they were still inside her space. She noticed that the yard had been tidied up but didn’t see her husband anywhere.

Carrying the blanket and pillows back into the house, she heard the sound of water running in the bathroom. Knowing that her husband was taking a bath, she changed into patched clothes and black long pants. Afterward, she braided her hair, preparing to leave the space.

Shortly after, the bathroom door opened, and Li Chenmo stepped out while drying his hair with a towel. When he saw his wife was awake, he walked over with a smile, leaned down, and kissed her.

Lu Jueyu was momentarily stunned by the scene before her. No matter how many times she saw her husband’s physique, she always found it captivating.

With only a towel loosely wrapped around his waist, revealing his toned abs and muscles, she couldn’t help but be mesmerized and licked her dry lips.

Even when her husband was fully dressed, her mind often wandered to his great figure, let alone when he only had a towel covering his private area.
