Even though she felt ashamed, she knew she had to apologize to those she had wronged. For the sake of her children, she had to change. She didn’t want them to be scolded or looked down upon because she was their mother.

As for her parents and brothers—she no longer had any hope for them. It was time to wake up and face reality.

After a brief silence, Liu Hua said, “Since you don’t have a place to stay, why don’t you stay at my house while we rebuild this one?”

Shi Qiwan immediately shook her head and replied, “I don’t want to trouble you. I will find a way.”

Seeing the determination in her eyes, Liu Hua didn’t press the issue. Instead, she said, “All right. As for the house, leave that to me. I will ask my friends to help with the design and other matters.”
