Several nurses and doctors were alerted by her loud shouting. They came with a stretcher. When they saw the blood on Ling Yun’s arms, his flushed face, and weak breathing, they quickly placed him on a stretcher and wheeled him to the operation room. Pan Meijia entrusted the bicycle to the hospital guard before she followed the nurses.

When she saw him being pushed into the operation room, her legs weakened and she fell to the ground. She leaned against the wall, panting for a good five minutes before slowly regaining her breath. When she looked up, she saw the red light in the operation room and could only pray that the doctors could save him.

Not long after, the nurse hurriedly came over, handed her a document, and said, “You must sign this document before we can operate on him.”

“He’s still in there.” Pan Meijia said, pointing to the operation room.

They don’t know how long it took, before the red light finally went out, and soon the door was opened. Seeing the doctor coming out, Xiao Li quickly ran over and asked, “Doctor, how is my brother’s condition?”

“Due to the infection of the injury, his current situation is still critical. We still need to observe for a few days in case he suffers from a complication. Judging from his condition, he must have been injured for several hours. Why didn’t you take him to the hospital as soon as possible? If he hadn’t been in good health and delayed for another 30 minutes, he might have lost his arm even if he didn’t die.” The doctor said with a frown.

Xiao Li felt guilty and could only lower his head. Pan Meijia saw this and asked, “Doctor, can we stay to take care of him?”

“He will be transferred to the ward in a while. Only one family member can stay to take care of him,” The doctor said.

“Thank you, doctor.” Pan Meijia said while bowing to the doctor.

The doctor sighed before leaving. Before she could say anything to Xiao Li, the nurse came over, handed them a document, and said, “Family members, go to the counter to pay the bill first, and then we can transfer the patient to the ward.”

Pan Meijia took the document and said, “Understood. Thank you, sister.”

The nurse nodded to her and left. Xiao Li looked at Pan Meijia with complicated eyes. They were obviously strangers, why was she willing to help them?

Pan Meijia didn’t notice Xiao Li’s mood and said, “I’m going to the counter. You can stay with your brother first.”

“Thank you.” Xiao Li said in a low voice.

“No problem. Consider I’m lending you the money. You can return it later. The most important thing now is to save your brother’s life.” She said, patting his shoulder.

When Pan Meijia walked to the counter, Ling Yun was pushed out of the emergency room. Although he was still in a coma, his face was not as pale as before. He has a needle on the back of his hand to receive an IV. Xiao Li followed him to the ward.
