Li Chenmo went to the pig pen to clean the pen and move the manure into the pit he dug earlier. The pits were dug close to the mountains, away from water sources and the pig pen. He cleans the pig pen twice every morning and evening. He also disinfects the pen once a month with liquid soap made by his wife. Dan Dan noodles are a classic Chinese noodle dish that has a spicy, salty, and nutty flavor thanks to the addition of chili oil, minced beef or pork, and chopped nuts.
