Li Chenmo smiled when he heard his wife’s voice. He reached out to hold her hand and asked, “Why did you come out? Although it is early spring, the weather is still very cold at night.”

“Is it okay to have rice for breakfast?” Lu Jueyu asked.

“Mhmm.”

“Alright then. What time do you go out tomorrow?”

“We start working at five o’clock. So, I have to set off at four-thirty,” Li Chenmo said.

“So early?” She asked with a hint of surprise.

Hearing her surprise, Li Chenmo felt strange and asked, “Isn’t your family also like this every year? We need to start as early as possible so that we can get more work done. After all, we need to take a break for more than one hour at noon. Otherwise, we may get heatstroke.”

“My sister-in-law used to cook, and I only woke up at dawn.” Lu Jueyu said a little embarrassed. The original soul has indeed never woken up so early.

Li Chenmo recalled that his wife had indeed never participated in fieldwork. At most, she could only go to the mountain foothill to collect pigweed.

As they talked, they arrived home. Before entering the front yard, Li Chenmo took a look at the house below the hill and saw a man repairing the roof. He only glanced at the man before entering the house.

While Lu Jueyu went to prepare their dinner, Li Chenmo went to the pig pen to clean up the pig manure.
