Li Chenxuan was stunned when he heard Professor Zhang’s words. He thought Jiao Siyu just had a fever or a cold. Why does her illness sound so serious? He had no idea what the doctor was saying at all.

Li Chenxuan sat for nearly an hour in the cafeteria before finally standing up and walking towards Jiao Siyu’s ward. The moment he opened the door, his happy and pleased expression instantly disappeared, turning into a face full of shock and disbelief.

When Jiao Siyu woke up, she found that she was alone in the hospital ward. Before she could call someone, the door was pushed open and her husband walked in as if he had lost his soul.

“Husband?” She called him hoarsely with confusion.

Li Chenxuan raised his head and looked at her with red eyes. Tears flowed from the corners of his eyes, and he strode to her side. He hugged her and said in a hoarse voice, “Wife, I’m sorry!”

Jiao Siyu was startled by her husband’s sudden outburst and could only lie there in a daze.

Li Chenxuan saw her looking at him without saying anything. He shook her shoulders and said, “Wife, please say something. Please don’t scare me.”
