Li Chenmo clenched his trembling fists and said in a hoarse voice, “Yu’er, I finally found you.”

He wiped away his tears, took a deep breath to calm down, and went to the kitchen to find his wife. Seeing her frying eggs, he hugged her tightly from behind, kissed her earlobe, and said hoarsely, “Good morning, wife.”

Raising her head, Lu Jueyu kissed his lips gently and asked, “Did you sleep well?”

“Mhmm.” He leaned over and buried his face in her shoulder.

“Go wash up first, and we can have breakfast together.” She urged him when she saw the sky starting to get brighter.

“Wife, I miss you.” Li Chenmo’s voice was hoarse and he couldn’t bear to let her go. It felt like several lifetimes since he last held her like this.

Normally, Lu Jueyu would only smile shyly when she heard his affectionate words, but today, for some reason, she felt a dull pain in her heart when her husband said those words.

“Husband, I miss you too,” she said as she leaned against him.

Li Chenmo looked at his wife’s red ears in surprise as the sadness and uneasiness in his heart immediately disappeared. He let out a satisfied sigh and said, “Wife, let’s take our wedding photos this afternoon.”

“Alright.”

He kissed his wife one more time, then went to wash up, before he went to the pig pen. When he arrived at the pigpen, Ling Yun was already there, scooping up pig manure.

Seeing him coming, Ling Yun said, “Good morning, Brother Li.”

“Brother Ling, you are a few years older than me. Just call me Chenmo.” Li Chenmo poured the pig feed into the feeder as he spoke.

Watching the pigs go to the feeder and eat in an orderly manner, Ling Yun said, “Chenmo, the pigs you raise look very smart. They eat very neatly and can even relieve themselves in the farthest corner of the pen.”

After hearing his words, Li Chenmo observed the pigs and realized that what Ling Yun said was true. After thinking for a while, he went to get a large, flat wooden basin and placed it on the corner of the pig pen.

After that, he looked at the pig and said, “That basin is for you to urinate and defecate.”

Ling Yun heard his words and thought he was talking to him. But when he raised his head, he found that Li Chenmo was exchanging glances with the pigs. The pigs seemed to understand what he said, nodded, and continued eating.
