After Lu Jueyu finished drinking the brown sugar soup, Li Chenmo covered her with a quilt and said, “I boiled hot water for you.”

Lu Jueyu glanced at the thermos and asked, “Husband, where did you get the thermos?”

Li Chenmo lay beside her and said, “I asked my comrades to buy one for me when it was in stock. It was sent before our wedding. I was going to give it to your parents, but it seems you need it more. I will try to buy another one for your parents.”

“It’s not necessary. My parents always kept a pot of hot water on the brazier. If you can find another one, give it to your father.”

After hearing her words, Li Chenmo smiled and said, “Father already has one. It will be more convenient if your parents have a thermos.”

“Okay then. Husband, I put some money in the cabinet. Use it if you need anything.” Thinking of Li Chenmo giving her all the money, Lu Jueyu said. He should have some money with him, just in case.

She looked at the huge iron wok in front of her and finally decided to take out a grilled pan from her own space. While using these modern pans can be risky, no one comes to her kitchen while she cooks. She made the jianbing before putting the grilled pan back in her space.

After the jianbing was ready, she went to her own space to make a few bottles of fresh soybean milk with a soy milk maker. Not long after she came out of her space, she heard voices coming from the front yard. She came to the living room while holding a tray of breakfast, and saw Li Chenmo come back with something in his hand.

When he came in, she brought a brazier from the kitchen and set it beside the table. As the room warmed up, she boiled a pot of water on the brazier.

“Husband, where have you been so early?” She asked while pouring Li Chenmo a cup of warm soy milk.

“I’m going to find your mother. This is for you.” With that, he handed her the bag.

“What is it?” Lu Jueyu opened the bag and asked.

Inside is the cotton that is usually used to make quilts. She was confused and didn’t know why he gave it to her. Seeing her confused face, Li Chenmo coughed, and said with flushed cheeks, “Mother said it would be more comfortable and convenient to use cotton. Don’t use grass pulp or tree ash, it’s not good for your health. If it’s not enough, I’ll buy more for you.”

After listening to his words, Lu Jueyu finally understood why he suddenly gave her a bag of cotton. It turned out that he went to her mother to ask about the sanitary pad matter. Although she didn’t need it, she was still moved by his intentions. In modern times, he is the kind of husband who goes to the convenience store to buy sanitary napkins for his wife.

“These days, don’t touch the cold water. I’ll do the washing. You need to keep yourself warm, Otherwise, the pain will be unbearable.” he added.

After putting the cotton in the bedroom, they chatted while eating breakfast.

“Wife, father said he will give us the old hen in his place. He is alone now and is not allowed to raise livestock.” Li Chenmo said while drinking soy milk.

“Okay. Let’s give Father some eggs when the old hen lays eggs.” She nodded.

“I’m thinking about building a pigsty near the mountain. We may need to prepare some meals for the helper then.” He said, glancing at her.

Lu Jueyu knew that if they wanted to ask the villagers for help, they had to prepare some meals. She’s just surprised that he plans to raise pigs. After all, raising pigs is not easy, it can be said to be a heavy and dirty job.

“Husband, are we going to raise pigs?” she asked.

“Mhmm. Although the pigs have to be handed over to the state, we can earn more work points and have the right to choose meat first. This way we can get more food.” Li Chenmo nodded as he said.
