Chapter 88: Fried Oyster
After placing the bamboo basket on the table, Li Chenmo went to the kitchen. When Lu Jueyu opens the lid, the living room is filled with the aroma of buns and oil.

“Father, stay for a meal. I made a lot. If you leave, we will not be able to finish it, and it will be wasted.”

Father Li looked at the basket of steamed buns, a plate of stir-fry vegetables, and a plate of fried meat. Seeing the dishes, he had mixed feelings. Father Li looked at the oyster and thought it might be fish. So, he didn’t ask any more questions, and ate happily.

As for the educated youth, they didn’t dare to eat too much, so they only picked some vegetables to taste. Seeing how carefully they ate, Lu Jueyu said, “Don’t be shy, eat more.”

Li Chenmo was upset to see his wife ignoring him while reminding the educated youth to eat more. Although the food was delicious, his eating slowed down due to his mood.

Lu Jueyu found that her husband ate less than usual and thought he was not feeling well. She moved closer and asked, “Husband, what’s the matter? Is this meal not to your taste?”

“No.” He shook his head.

“Are you not feeling well?” she asked again.

The men of the Li family are inherently possessive and devoted, including himself. Father Li put some fish in Li Chenmo’s bowl and said, “You need to eat more.”

The moment Lu Jueyu heard Father Li’s words, a thought flashed through her mind. Does he want her to help him with food? It seems that the position of the braised fish is indeed a bit far away. No wonder he didn’t reach out and touch it. And here she thinks he doesn’t like braised fish.

Inspired by Father Li, Lu Jueyu focused on filling Li Chenmo’s bowl with more food. Seeing that his wife finally paid more attention to him, Li Chenmo showed a satisfied smile on his face. Therefore, he does not believe that housework is a woman’s responsibility and that men should not be in the kitchen. As husband and wife, they should share everything together, including housework. When he entered the bedroom, Lu Jueyu was already asleep. He smiled when he heard her soft snoring. He climbed onto the Kang bed and lay beside her.
