Chen Jianmin patted his three-year-old sister on the head and said, “Xiao Fang, be good. This is for your sister Shushu. Brother will pick berries for you later.”

Although she didn’t really understand what her brother said, she still understood part of it. Since her brother said he would pick fruits for her, she would just wait.

Dong Li put the things into the bamboo basket and said, “Then we will go now.”

After they left, he went to the kitchen and cut one third of the food into smaller pieces so everyone could taste it.

When he brought out four thin pancakes, three five-color glutinous rice cakes, and Five Zongzi, his younger brothers and sisters were already waiting for him in the front yard.

Instead of eating in the small living room, they sat on the balcony and ate together after they washed the dirt off their hands and faces.

Thirty minutes later, Dong Li and Dong Huang arrived at Doctor Xie’s house and saw Li Shu drying medicinal herbs in the yard.

Dong Huang waved and shouted, “Sister Li Shu!”

Hearing her voice, Li Shu looked up and saw Dong Li and Dong Huang standing outside her gate. She walked over, opened the door, and asked, “Dong Li, Xiao Huang, what brought you here so early? Did you feel unwell?”
