Feng Chen was stunned by Yang Mengyao’s words. He didn’t expect her reasons to be like this.

Since he chose to agree to his ex-wife’s request, he will keep his promise to her. After what happened that year, it was impossible for him to return to his ex-wife even if want to.

“When Ah Lin talks to me, you always interrupt him and make him think that I don’t care about him. Yang Mengyao, I may be a farmer’s son with a low level of education. However, I am not blind or stupid,” he added with a low voice.

When Yang Mengyao heard this, her heart sank. She reached out to touch her husband. But before she could touch him, he stood up and said, “You should take a rest first. I needed some time to calm down.”

Seeing that her husband was leaving, she asked, “Husband, where are you going?”

Feng Chen opened the door and left without saying a word.

“Xinyue, how I wish I could tell you the reason. Wife, I miss you so much. Where are you now? Are you doing well? Will you come back to see our son one day?” he said hoarsely.

He stood on the roadside for a long time before returning to the hotel room.

When he entered the room, he saw Yang Mengyao still waiting for him. Her eyes were swollen from crying, but she didn’t dare to complain to him.

He clenched his fists tightly and thought to himself, ‘I have to be patient. Now is not the time.’

He took a deep breath before walking to the bed. After taking off his shoes, he crawled onto the bed and lay down.

Yang Mengyao breathed a sigh of relief when she saw her husband finally came back and slept in the same bed as her. She quickly lay down and snuggled into her husband’s cold arms.

She buried her face in Feng Chen’s chest, not noticing the hatred and disgust in his cold eyes.

Early the next morning, rumors about Feng Lin’s family spread to Xie Village. Even the children in school knew that his father had come back, but he was driven away by his grandfather.
