Chapter 103: Chapter 103: What are you hiding Agnes?
News of Agnes’s accident spread like wildfire, tarnishing her image in an instant and leaving her with nothing but humiliation. However, what truly shocked everyone was the narrative that dominated every news channel.
As the world reeled from the revelation of Agnes’s true nature, people began digging into her personal and professional life. Soon, scandalous details emerged, exposing how she had lied about her fiancé, who, in reality, was nothing more than her sister’s ex.
Not only was their affair laid bare, but accusations followed swiftly. Reports claimed that Agnes had snatched brand deals and modeling projects from others, including Gina Morris, whom she had replaced at her current company.
“Agnes, Agnes, Agnes. Everyone is talking about her. There’s nothing left for us to salvage!” David snapped, his frustration boiling over. He had tried and had failed to silence the media before they exposed every ugly truth.
Never in his wildest dreams had he imagined that one reckless mistake from Agnes would ruin not just her career but also his own, leaving him too ashamed to even step out in public.
Agnes sat frozen in her seat, her head bowed, hands trembling. David’s rant filled the room, yet she remained silent, unable to defend herself. Even Dorothy couldn’t muster a word, fully aware of the grim reality they faced.
Though they had managed to bail Agnes out, they couldn’t undo the damage. Her reputation lay in shambles, crushed under the weight of undeniable evidence circulating online.
To make matters worse, bystanders had recorded her at the scene of the accident. The footage had been edited and dissected, fueling the relentless media storm that showed no signs of dying down.
David shot Agnes a seething glare, the mere sight of his own daughter filling him with such disgust that, for the first time, he regretted ever bringing her into this world.
“You could have told us that Eric refused to marry you. There were ways to handle it, Agnes. But instead, you got drunk in broad daylight and rammed your car into Winter?” His voice dripped with disbelief and fury.
Agnes didn’t flinch. Instead, she met their gazes with cold defiance. “I was there to kill Winter,” she admitted, her voice eerily devoid of remorse. “I regret not doing it sooner.”
Her chilling confession sent a shudder through the room, but she refused to reveal anything more.
David inhaled sharply, forcing himself to remain composed. “Why did you want to kill Winter?” he asked, his tone suddenly quiet, but the fire in his eyes refused to wane.
Sensing her husband was teetering on the edge of losing control, Dorothy quickly stepped in.
“Darling, give her some time. Look at her…she’s injured.”
David turned to his wife with a hard glare, his jaw clenched. Though his fury burned hot, he couldn’t ignore the fact that Agnes had indeed been in an accident. She needed time to recover.
His expression darkened, but he relented for now. “I’ll let it slide for the moment, but she will answer me once she gets better,” he declared, leaving no room for negotiation. With that, he turned on his heel and strode out of the room.
Once they were alone, Dorothy shot Agnes a brooding look, her anger barely restrained.
“What was that, Agnes? How can you be so shameless, talking to your father like that?” She snapped, her voice rising with frustration.
Agnes had never been an obedient child, but she had never been this reckless either. So consumed by her own impulses that she ignored the consequences of her actions.
Agnes glared at her mother, her resentment burning just as fiercely. “Why does he always blame me when it was Winter who pushed me to this?” She hissed, refusing to take accountability.
Dorothy sighed, her expression darkening. Winter had always been a bane to their existence, and her return had left their carefully built world in shambles. Their hatred for her ran deeper than words could express. But despite their resentment, they had been meticulous in ensuring Winter stayed out of their lives.
No one had known about her until Agnes made the reckless decision to post her picture along with her daughter’s, hoping to drive her away. What should have been a simple tactic had spiraled into a nightmare.
That one mistake had been difficult enough to contain, but Agnes had gone and made it worse. Instead of ruining Winter, she had ended up destroying herself. The media had painted Winter as the victim, while Agnes had become nothing more than a homewrecker and a liar.
And now, there was no coming back from it.
“Tell me, Agnes, what are you trying to hide from us?” Dorothy didn’t bother with pleasantries, cutting straight to the point.
There had to be a reason, something deeper that had provoked Agnes into such uncontrollable rage against Winter.
Agnes’s lips faltered as she met her mother’s eyes. She had believed that getting rid of Winter would bury the truth forever. But she had underestimated the situation.
With someone as powerful as Kalix Andreas backing Winter, there was no way he would allow a single scratch on her. Agnes had foolishly overlooked that, thinking she could handle things discreetly.
But now, there was no use in hiding it any longer. Her family had to know.

“Winter is Kalix Andreas’s woman,” Agnes admitted, her voice laced with bitter resentment. “And he’s also the father of her child.”
Dorothy felt the ground shift beneath her, her body locking rigid with shock. The realization hit her like a slap, stealing the breath from her lungs.
The name alone sent a shiver down her spine. There wasn’t a single soul in this world who dared to offend the Andreas family. They were undefeated for a reason. Their roots ran deep within the underworld, making them not only dangerously influential but also rulers of the business world like untouchable gods.
Yet, they had always remained low-key, never exposing themselves too much to the public eye.
Dorothy’s mind reeled back to a conversation she once had with David. He had spoken of a highly lucrative project deal he had signed with J&K International, the same company owned by Kalix Andreas. But at the last moment, the contract had been terminated without warning, leaving them drowning in financial losses they were still struggling to recover from.
And now, their daughter had gone and provoked the very man who had the power to ruin them completely.
‘He knew it all along.’ Dorothy’s thoughts raced as the weight of reality settled over her like a crushing force.
Before she could fully process it, Agnes’s voice cut through her trance.
“And you know what’s even more shocking?” Agnes said, her tone laced with bitter disbelief.
Dorothy turned to her daughter, staring at her in a daze.
“Grandpa knew everything,” Agnes revealed, her lips curling in resentment. “And he asked Kalix to marry Winter.”
