Chapter 110: Chapter 110: You’re all mine
“What did you say? Come again?” The air inside Kalix’s office turned thick the moment Winter disclosed that she was having dinner with Felix.
She wouldn’t have bothered mentioning it before, but now that she was—at least somewhat—reciprocating Kalix’s admiration, it felt necessary to be open about everything. No secrets.
Not that it would change anything.
“You heard me right, Kalix. And before you say anything, it’s just compensation for leaving them hanging last time,” she corrected.
Kalix’s expression darkened, his features twisting into something close to a grimace. He slouched back in his seat like a sulking child, while Winter continued to eat, unfazed. She had a lot on her plate, literally and figuratively and if she wanted to keep up, she needed to nourish herself.
“Aren’t you eating?” she asked, feigning innocence.
Kalix scoffed in disbelief. “After what you just said? How do you expect me to eat when you’re telling me, right to my face, that you’re going out with another man?” His patience was wearing dangerously thin, like a ticking bomb ready to explode.
Winter watched him for a few seconds before calmly setting her plate aside.
“Why are you acting like I’m ditching you for a date or something?” she asked, reaching for her glass of water and taking a slow sip.
Kalix’s jaw tensed. “Because it is a date.” His voice dropped, laced with frustration. “You think that donkey just wants to have dinner with you? It’s obvious he’s pursuing you.”
There he goes again.
Rolling her eyes, Winter leaned back in her seat. “It’s not like I’m going to reciprocate. It’s just a team meetup,” she tried to justify, but Kalix continued to sulk.
Only he knew how his pulse pounded at the mere thought of another man even looking at Winter. And yet, under her mercy, he couldn’t even punish them.
What kind of life are you leading, Kalix?
Noticing his silence, Winter sighed. “Look, this is the last time I’ll be going out with them, and trust me…it’ll be quick.”
She tried to coax him, quickly moving to his side. Her eyes sparkled, and her lips stretched into that playful, pretend smile—the one that always made Kalix’s lips twitch in response.
“You have to make it up to me,” he suddenly announced.
Winter’s smile vanished. Her ears caught his words, and her mind raced. “And how exactly do I do that?” she asked skeptically.
Kalix finally let go of his brooding expression and smirked, making her wonder what he was plotting.
“That’s for me to decide, Angel.” His voice was deceptively smooth, but the hidden glint of playfulness in his eyes made her gulp.
Holding her gaze, Kalix slowly reached out, cupping her face. His thumb traced her lips in a slow, seductive motion, making her breath hitch.
“You can go out with whoever you want,” he murmured, voice dark and possessive. “But when you come home… you’re all mine.”
Winter’s stomach twisted, his words sending a shiver down her spine. Her mind drifted back to the previous night, and the thought of repeating it made her feel both giddy and apprehensive.
Kalix watched her in silence, his eyes absorbing every fleeting thought on her face. She was so easy to read, yet he remained blissfully unaware of the storm raging inside her.

Sean rushed out of the company the moment Gina informed him that her car had broken down and she desperately needed help.
Without hesitation, he reached her, intending to book her a cab, but she insisted that he take her instead. And now, here they were, driving to Flamingo Boutique, skipping work while Kalix was likely just a call away, looking for him.
Gina grinned, watching Sean remain blissfully unaware of her trick, and continued her act.
Soon, the car pulled up in front of the boutique, and they quickly stepped inside.
Sean glanced at his wristwatch, the seconds ticking away like a countdown to disaster. Yet, even after so long, Gina was still trying on dresses, completely unfazed.

Not that he was complaining, because damn…she looked stunning in every single one. And yet, she wasn’t satisfied.
“Would you like anything, sir?” one of the boutique staff asked.
Ever since they had stepped inside, the female staff had been stealing glances at him. It was something Sean was used to, yet it never failed to make him uncomfortable.
“No, thank you,” he replied politely, but the woman continued to stare.
“Maybe a coffee or juice,” the lady insisted, putting Sean in a tight spot.
He hesitated, but the woman continued pressing, clearly determined to hold a conversation with him.
His expression turned awkward, until a sudden voice cut through the tension.
“Darling, how do I look?”
Sean’s eyes shot toward Gina, completely caught off guard. Despite her undeniable elegance, he couldn’t ignore the piercing stare she directed at the woman in front of him.
Jealousy flickered in her gaze, though she masked it well. She stepped closer, effortlessly slipping her arm over Sean’s shoulder.
“Do I look beautiful, or should I change?” she asked, blinking prettily, leaving Sean momentarily speechless.
“Oh, how about you do it yourself? It’ll save us time,” she added smoothly.
“…”
A wave of embarrassment washed over the woman’s face, and she quickly retreated.
Gina sneaked a glance at her, her lips twitching in mild offense.
“What was that?” Sean asked suddenly, turning his attention back to her.
“Claiming my right on you. No one gets to flirt with my man,” she stated firmly.
Gina hated how the women in the shop ogled at Sean, but she never expected one of them to actually make a move. A poor choice, really, because Gina had ways of making them regret it.
Sean, on the other hand, was completely thrown off. Gina’s boldness toward him was on another level, and yet, he couldn’t help but feel a giddy sense of satisfaction.
“So, how do you want me to help you?” he teased, his voice dropping to a sultry whisper.
This time, it was Gina’s turn to be caught off guard. However, before her thoughts could run wild, Sean quickly clarified.
“In picking the dress?”
The corner of his lips quirked upward when he noticed the flicker of disappointment in her eyes. Yet, that didn’t stop her.
“Or how about you help me change instead?” she whispered, her voice laced with playful challenge.
A fire sparked in Sean’s eyes, but he was quick to mask it with a scoff.
“That would take too much time. Why don’t you help yourself instead?” he said, stepping back.
“You have ten minutes to get it done. I’ll be waiting in the car—be quick.”
And just like that, he turned and walked away, leaving Gina standing there. Huffing, she spun on her heels and made her way to purchase the dress.
After leaving the boutique, Sean drove them to a nearby restaurant for lunch.
“By the way, you didn’t ask me why I bought the dress,” Gina said, settling into her seat across from him and setting the bag aside.
Sean gave her a puzzled look. He had always assumed women loved shopping or it was just something he took for granted.
“Aren’t women fond of shopping?” he asked, still confused.
“Yes, they are, but this shopping was done especially for you,” she said, her tone laced with amusement.
Her words only left him more clueless.
“How so? You didn’t get me anything,” he pointed out.
Gina chuckled, noticing the slight disappointment in his tone. He was adorable, just like a kid who was offended.
“Did I say something funny?” he asked, noticing the smile on her face.
“Not funny, but something adorable,” she replied, amusement dancing in her eyes. “Tomorrow, we’ll go and buy something for you.”
Sean stared at her in disbelief. She wanted him to skip work for another day—and for shopping, again?
Unable to comprehend her reasoning, he shook his head and opened the menu. But before he could fully focus, she spoke again.
“This dress is for our date.”
Sean froze, her words catching him off guard. His eyes shot back to her, filled with shock.
“Date?” he echoed.
“Yes, and you don’t get to decline,” she said smoothly. “Remember, I’m pursuing you.”
For a moment, Sean had forgotten that Gina was truly pursuing him. But now that she was talking about a date, he couldn’t help but wonder what else she had planned to make him fall for her all over again.
His cheeks warmed, and he quickly looked away before Gina could catch a glimpse of it.
“Hmm,” he muttered.
Gina pouted at his curt response, but the disappointment didn’t last long. Spending time with Sean had been so effortless that she hadn’t even realized how quickly the time had passed. Not once did she feel stressed in his presence.
Letting him be, Gina casually scanned the spacious restaurant, until, her gaze landed on something that made her still in her spot.
Her eyes flickered with unease, and her heart nearly sank. Yet, before she could fully process what she had seen, the person was gone.
“GINA!”
She jolted at the sharp sound of Sean’s voice. Her eyelashes fluttered rapidly as she tried to refocus.
“Why aren’t you saying anything?” Sean asked, frowning. But when she continued staring in the same direction, his own gaze followed hers—only to find nothing there.
“Are you okay?” he asked, his concern evident as he brought her attention back to him.
Gina hesitated. Had she really seen the person she thought she had? The possibility made her stomach churn.
“N-No, it’s nothing,” she forced a smile, dismissing his concern. But Sean wasn’t convinced.
