Chapter 323: Collaboration
Angelica’s eyes glinted with malice.

Just wait, Selina. I’ll make sure you’re completely ruined.

The higher you’re lifted, the harder you fall.

Outside the Reid Group building, Angelica let a single tear fall—on purpose.

Kyle’s heart ached at the sight.

“It’s fine if Logan won’t work with you. Morris Family will support you no matter what.”

Angelica covered her lips and whispered, “I just… liked him. Sorry, I lost control. He belongs to Selina now, I shouldn’t have hoped for anything… But I met him first.”

Kyle clenched his fist slowly.

Yeah. Angelica saved Logan. She met him first. Yet in the end, Selina was the one who married him.

If Selina really was the rightful daughter of Morris Family, then giving Angelica that identity as compensation didn’t seem wrong. After all, Selina already took Angelica’s man—letting Angelica have the family instead? Seemed fair.

Kyle took a deep breath.

“Angelica, I’ve got money too. I’ll invest in your next design.”

Angelica leaned against him weakly.

“Thank you… brother.”

After Kyle left, Angelica made another call.

The line picked up quickly.

“Angelica? What’s wrong?”

She asked sweetly, “Rigel, senior—has Professor Star ever had a friend named Selina?”

Rigel frowned. “Selina? Never heard of her.”

Angelica smirked.

As expected—Selina had made it all up.

Rigel was Star’s direct disciple. If Selina really were close to Star, Rigel would definitely know.

Angelica sighed dramatically.

“That’s what I was afraid of. I just ran into Selina—she swore up and down that she’s Star’s friend. She’s entering the design competition too. I’m afraid she’ll start throwing Star’s name around to cheat or fake her way through and ruin her reputation…”

Rigel scoffed.

“That loser? Don’t worry. I’m on the judging panel. I’ll personally deal with her.”

Angelica ended the call with a triumphant grin.

Fake Star’s friend? Hah. Selina was finished.

Back at the Reid Group office…

Selina had gotten herself worked up and rashly agreed to collaborate with Logan. Now that she’d said it out loud, she had no choice but to follow through.

She curled up on the couch like a sulking bird, waiting to sign the contract.

After looking through it for a while, something felt off.

“Wait, this isn’t a long-term agreement?”

Logan raised an eyebrow. “You wanted long-term?”

“No,” she snapped, then paused. “But I thought you’d try to trap me.”

The contract only covered the full rights to Star’s entry for the design competition. Everything else? She’d still be freelance.

Just as she picked up the pen to sign, her phone buzzed twice.

A notification from Twitter.

Morris Group had just bought the full rights to Angelica’s championship design from two years ago, and announced plans to launch it.

Two years ago?

Selina raised an eyebrow and clicked.

Morris Group’s official tweet read:

“While there’s debate about whether this piece deserved the win, to us it will always be one-of-a-kind.”

Angelica retweeted it, adding:

“Thank you Morris Group for believing in me. And thank you to my dad and brother for their support. I’ll give my all in this year’s design competition too.”

The comments were glowing:

“The trophy may have been revoked to appease others, but there’s no doubt Angelica deserved that win.”

“Morris Group knows talent when they see it. I’ll buy the final product as soon as it drops!”

“Angelica only lost the trophy because of Selina. How can Selina live with herself? Angelica is Star’s student—she earned this.”

Angelica didn’t respond to anyone—except this comment:

“Don’t say that. Yes, I’m Star’s student, but Selina is Star’s friend.”

Her fans were stunned: “No way! Selina? As if she’s worthy!”

Angelica replied helplessly: “It’s true. Selina told me herself. She wouldn’t lie to me.”

Later, in an interview, Angelica doubled down.

She said that although Selina had been eliminated in the last round, this time she’d surely impress—because she was Star’s friend.

And so, within just thirty minutes, almost everyone—fans, judges, and contestants alike—knew: Selina is Star’s friend.

Selina let out a cold laugh.

Angelica was setting her up for a fall.

But… only those who are fake, unqualified, or undeserving can truly be “set up” this way.

Selina wasn’t Star’s friend—She was Star herself.

So how could she possibly be “brought down” by Angelica’s praise?

Angelica was in for a rude awakening.

And more importantly…

“Mr. Reid.” Selina’s eyes gleamed with something mischievous. She said seriously, “Just selling you the rights to one design feels stingy. Why don’t I throw in a bonus?”

Logan raised an eyebrow.

Selina pulled up a sketch on her phone.

“This is a piece I poured my soul into two years ago. You can have it—for free.”

Logan glanced down.

It was a stunningly unique gown—elegant and graceful, the kind of piece that would sweep through the high fashion world and become a staple among elite socialites.

And this gown…

Was identical to the one Angelica had entered into the design competition two years ago.

The one she had just sold to Morris Group.

Logan leaned in, amused, and lowered his voice, “Mrs. Reid, are you trying to use me to deal with the Morris Family?”

Selina lowered her head coyly.

“What do you mean ‘use you’? This helps us both. Don’t you agree?”

Now that the original design was in Logan and Selina’s hands, Angelica’s plagiarism—and Morris Family’s copyright infringement—would be undeniable.

No need to play coy.

It was time to get her revenge.

A few days later, the design competition resumed, and all the contestants arrived at the venue.

Logan pulled up to the contestant entrance in his car. Selina gave him a bashful look.

“You didn’t have to drive me, you know.”

Without even glancing at her, the man replied, “Well, we’re already here. Isn’t it a little late to say that now, Mrs. Reid?”

Selina turned serious.

“Logan. Angelica’s not some design prodigy. Every piece she’s ever shown was stolen. You know that, right?”

“I didn’t before,” Logan said calmly.

He had never paid attention to Angelica—not even when she saved his life. He’d focused only on repaying the debt, not on what kind of person she was, or whether she had any real talent.

He hadn’t even known she claimed to be a designer, much less that she plagiarized.

But now…

“Now I know,” he said quietly.
