Chapter 330: The Plagiarist
Angelica let out a breath of relief when she heard that.
Thank God—she’d been worried Selina might have some real way to prove her innocence. But she wanted to rely on surveillance footage? That was laughable.
Everyone knew the design rooms didn’t have cameras. At least her room definitely didn’t.
So Selina thought she could prove anything with that? Dream on.
Angelica feigned concern. “Selina, if there were any surveillance footage, of course I’d help clear your name. But you know the design rooms weren’t monitored. This kind of behavior is just… childish.”
Her words were meant to subtly suggest Selina was just making a scene to stall for time. If there were no cameras, then calling for surveillance was nothing more than a desperate attempt to drag things out.
But before Angelica could finish, Selina gave a slow, meaningful smile.
“Sister Angelica… who said there aren’t cameras in the design rooms?”
What?
Angelica froze, a chill shooting down her spine.
What did Selina just say?
Selina turned toward the contestant section and asked casually, “If Angelica has doubts, why don’t we ask the other contestants? Were there cameras in the rooms or not?”
The contestants looked at each other, confused.
“Of course there were…”
“Yeah, they announced it before the competition. They said the cameras were to prevent cheating—it was clearly stated in the contract.”

“Wait, Angelica didn’t know that? That’s… hard to believe.”
Angelica’s face twisted in horror.
No—what were they talking about? How could there be surveillance?
And the worst part wasn’t that the cameras existed.
It was what came next.
Selina calmly delivered the finishing blow: “Sister Angelica, you did just say that if there were cameras, you’d testify for me.”
“Well, now that we do know there are recordings… I suppose there’s no reason for you to object anymore, right?”
Angelica panicked. “No, I—”
“Mr. Rowan, what do you think?” Selina smiled sweetly as she looked up.
Logan replied coolly, “Play the footage.”
Staff rushed to pull up the surveillance from Selina’s and Angelica’s design rooms.
Seven full days of recordings, perfectly sorted by date.
Angelica was clearly flustered. She tried to maintain her composure.
“Selina, even if you’re trying to clear your name, do you really need to waste everyone’s time? That’s seven full days of footage—where would you even start?”
“I get that you’re upset. You think I framed you. But this is a formal competition—Mr. Rowan and Mr. Rigel’s time is valuable. Don’t waste it…”
Selina interrupted, “I heard Angelica finished her design in just one day, same as me?”
Angelica’s heart skipped a beat. “Yes… because I—”
“In that case, we only need to look at the first day’s footage. And since we only worked half a day, the total footage is at most three hours.”
“If we skip the thinking and prep time, we just need the sketching portion. It won’t even be an hour. And we can fast-forward.”
Selina tilted her head, voice calm. “Sister Angelica, what exactly are you so afraid of?”
“I—I’m not afraid…” Angelica’s voice cracked as she forced a shaky smile. “But this is a competition, not your personal stage. I just think…”
“Play the footage,” Logan cut in, voice cold. “Plagiarism isn’t a small matter. I don’t care how long it takes—we’ll get to the bottom of it. Rigel, wouldn’t you agree?”
By now, it was obvious that Selina wanted the truth—and Angelica was desperate to avoid it.
Rowan had called Rigel out by name, and Rigel didn’t dare protest.
“Y-Yes. Don’t worry, Angelica. If Selina really plagiarized, I’ll personally make sure you get justice!”
Joe frowned slightly, his heart aching a little as he watched Angelica cry like a fragile flower caught in the rain.
But after hearing Rigel’s words, he changed his mind — he was right. Angelica would never plagiarize. The real culprit had to be someone else. Even if it wasn’t Selina herself, it must’ve been someone around her.
Once the footage played, everything would be clear. Angelica’s name would be cleared, and Selina would have nothing left to say.
Thinking this, Joe breathed a quiet sigh of relief and stayed silent.
Meanwhile, Angelica was on the verge of collapsing. She couldn’t let them play that footage. She had been so certain there were no cameras in the design rooms — she hadn’t bothered to avoid them at all. If those recordings were shown, her reputation would be utterly destroyed.
No. She had to stop it somehow—
“Don’t pass out now, Sister Angelica,” Selina murmured, leaning in with a faint smile. “The show’s just getting started. If you faint, I’ll be the only one left to speak. Isn’t that right?”
Angelica was furious, nearly shaking with rage. While she was still scrambling to come up with a solution, someone from the audience suddenly gasped.
“What is Angelica doing?!”
At some point, the footage had already begun playing on the large screen above the stage.
The screen was split in two: one side showed Angelica’s design room, the other showed Selina’s.
Thirty minutes into the competition, Selina had already started sketching. Meanwhile, Angelica was still lying on the sofa, resting.
An hour passed. Two hours passed…
Angelica was still asleep?!
By that point, Selina had already finished her draft. Then a staff member appeared and collected her sketch.
And then—
Angelica’s eyes widened with horror. She shot to her feet and rushed toward the screen, trying to block it with her arms. “No!!”
But how could one person cover an entire screen?
Everyone in the room — and watching the livestream — saw exactly what happened next.
“That staff member looks so shady!”
“Wait, is she sneaking into Angelica’s room?!”
“Oh my God, she gave Selina’s sketch to Angelica!”
“This is insane — Angelica literally traced over Selina’s design! What the hell?!”
It was undeniable.
Before Selina finished her design, Angelica had done nothing but sleep.
After Selina turned in her sketch, Angelica had bribed the staff, stolen it, and copied it line for line.
Then, she passed it off as her own work.
“N-no! That’s not what happened! You have to listen to me!” Angelica cried, her voice cracking. “Selina, I know you know a lot of hackers. It wouldn’t be hard for you to fake that footage. Why are you trying to ruin me?!”
But no one believed her anymore.
“She plagiarized?!”
“Wait, Angelica’s the one who copied? Unbelievable! She acted so righteous, like plagiarists should be burned at the stake — and she’s the one who did it?!”
“She even accused Selina of stealing her design, played the victim, and got her fans to harass Selina. How can someone be this disgusting?”
“If Selina hadn’t asked to check the footage, Angelica would’ve kept lying!”
