Martial Arts Worlds - Chapter 220
Chapter 220: Late Night Training
[Gentle Rose: This item is so good!]
A message came to his phone.
‘Oh, I am glad she liked the item. I thought it was quite lackluster, but I guess she found some use for it.’
Kiernan thought about it.
He didn’t think he had any need for Whispering Shell other than spying on someone. He wouldn’t just pry into others privacy because he simply didn’t care about other people’s personal lives.
[Revenant: Glad you liked it]
[Gentle Rose: Can I do another spin, pretty please?]
[Revenant: Only if you give me 100,000 gold coins for it]
He didn’t plan on letting others just spin the lottery wheel without him getting anything in return. He put the price at 100,000 gold coins so he could also have one spin at the wheel.
[Gentle Rose: Oh… I can’t afford that at the moment 🙁 ]
[Revenant: You can always contact me when you can]
[Gentle Rose: Yup, will do!]
‘Cold Shade hadn’t spoken a word. I hope she wasn’t too disappointed about the item. I don’t think any herb is worth 100,000 gold coins, so I might be in debt…’
Knock! Knock!
After a double knock, the door got swung open, and Coach Jin walked inside, a whistle hanging around his neck.
He then grabbed the whistle, put it between his dry lips, and blew it loudly.
Whistle~
“Ah?”
Kiernan looked over with a raised eyebrow, wondering what the hell was going on.
“Put your shoes on, Kiernan! It is time for training!”
Coach Jin shouted loudly.
The rest of the dormitory looked over from their rooms, curious about the commotion.
‘Right, the training.’
Kiernan scratched the back of his head, slipped his feet inside his sneakers, and walked out of the dorm room.
“Julian, Dominic, Jonathan, and Julia, come with us!”
Coach Jin shouted.
Most of them had already changed to something more comfortable as they thought it was their free time till tomorrow morning.
Therefore, they quickly went to change to their training uniforms and came to the hallway while the rest of the students looked over with wry smiles.
A few of them pitied them, as it was never fun to go training when the sun had already gone down.
“Follow me!”

Marching away, Coach Jin led them out of the dormitory, and then he took a seat on his bicycle.
“Try to keep up with me. We’re going for a jog!”
With that, Coach Jin started pedaling away.
“Ah, shit!”
Julian let out a defeated sigh and started jogging after the bicycle. The rest did the same, but it was hard to call it jogging with the pace Coach Jin was setting.
If they really wanted to keep up, they had to run at full speed!
After leaving the school grounds, they entered a forest path, sometimes tripping on roots and rocks along the way.
The dark forest surrounded them on the right and left; the glorious moon shone through the trees and gave some light to guide their way.
“Huff! Huff! Huff!”
Jonathan and Dominic were already panting heavily. Their lungs felt like they were burning. If they were just jogging, they believed they could last for much longer.
However, they were running as fast as they possibly could, and they couldn’t keep up the pace for much longer.
Julia’s face was flushing red. She was doing better than the two, but her energy was starting to wane as well.
At the front of the pack, Julian and Kiernan were the only ones really keeping up with Coach Jin, forcing him to pedal even faster because they might pass him otherwise.
“Huff! Huff!”
Julian side-eyed Kiernan, gritted his teeth, and tried to run faster than him, but Kiernan wasn’t allowing that and also increased his pace.
They were racing each other!
Neither of them wanted to lose to each other!
“Slow down!”
Coach Jin had to shout at them because he started to pant and lose his breath from the exertion of trying to stay ahead of the two students.
The forest path was treacherous, sometimes going up and down. Those uphills were extra hard for him on the bicycle, and with the current pace, he didn’t think he could outlast them.
After hearing their coaches’ complaint, they started to slow down, but they kept eyeing each other suspiciously, unsure of who would make the first move.
With a bicycle at the lead, they left the forest path, which was basically just a big circle, and arrived back at the school grounds.
“Huff! You may return to the dormitory. We’ll start stamina training tomorrow since some of you definitely need it!”
Coach Jin shouted.
When those words left his mouth, Julian and Kiernan immediately dashed past the pedaling Coach Jin and headed straight towards the dormitory.
It was a full-blown race between the two!
‘Monsters, both of them!’
Jonathan, Julia, and Dominic watched as the two ran with even greater speed than before, as if they weren’t exhausted, while the three of them could barely move their legs anymore.
The door of the dormitory was still open. It was a narrow opening, and only one could fit through at once.
Julian, with a red face, rushed towards the door and was about to squeeze through, but then Kiernan tackled him on the shoulder, pushing him to the side.
With that tackle, Julian missed the door and slammed into the wall next to it.
“You bastard!”
“I won!”
Kiernan entered the dormitory, his hands raised high in victory, but then Julian rushed at him and tried to kick him on the back, but Kiernan easily dodged the attack.
Julian’s jabbing strikes came like bolts of lightning. Fast and quick!
“Rendering Edge!”
The hands came like whips and smacked Julian’s jabbing fists away before they could even make contact.
While the two fought, the caretaker of the dormitory watched the scene with a twitching eyebrow.
“You two… stop fighting!”
“You cheater!”
“Ah? I won fair and square!”
Kiernan and Julian tugged each other’s hair, rolling around on the floor like children fighting over a toy.
