Martial Arts Worlds - Chapter 255
Chapter 255: Unegotistical Pass
Thorsten stomped through the field like a freight train. He was the only fighter in the nationals with a background in sumo wrestling.
His parents, grandparents, and every ancestor since the start of time had been sumo wrestlers. He was part of a family with a few yokozuna.
The sumo wrestler who had reached the apex of sumo wrestling received the rank of yokozuna. Only one person could receive it at once.
Thorsten didn’t look like he had any sumo wrestling experience because he didn’t look like an ordinary sumo wrestler, but he had enough muscles enough to make it seem plausible.
His strength came from his leg muscles that were as thick as tree trunks.
Smack!
Thorsten pushed Kenneth out of his way.
“Crazy…”
Kenneth staggered back, shocked by the force of Thorsten’s push.
Smack!
Mirin suddenly punched Thorsten in the kneecap. It was a powerful kick, but he didn’t falter and instead pushed her backward with ease.
Squeeze!
At that moment, Kiernan grabbed him by the back of his shirt and pulled him back to him.
“?!”
Thorsten’s eyes shook, and he turned around, realizing that he wouldn’t be able to shake Kiernan off.
It was shocking that despite him being a sumo wrestler, he couldn’t match Kiernan’s crazy physical strength!
“Yo, pass to me!”
Dietmar was running down the left line.
Thorsten tossed the ball in an arc, and Dietmar caught it before it landed on the ground. He was without any defense and immediately sprinted towards the goal.
He had a sharp angle to the goal without very clear sight to it.
Willa spread her arms wide and tried to minimize the shooting angle as much as possible.
Dietmar stepped to the left, then leaped to the right, and while in mid-air, he extended his arm and hurled the ball to the far right corner of the goal.
Willa jumped to block the shot but narrowly missed as the ball sailed past her fingertips and into the net.
Whistle~
“Goaaal!”
Dietmar announced with a smile on his face.
Clap! Clap! Clap!
The crowd clapped.
“Ah…”
Ariadne jogged back to the goal and sighed heavily. She blamed herself for failing to score a goal.

Dietmar high-fived with his team members and walked back to their side of the field. They were only two goals away from taking the match.
“I am sorry, guys…”
Willa picked up the ball from the goal with a disheartened look. She lacked the arm’s range to successfully block the shot.
“It’s alright. Let’s score back.”
Ariadne said.
Willa nodded, tossed the ball to her, and stood back into her goal.
“We must score, Kiernan. I think we should try some passing plays.”
Ariadne said.
“Sure.”
Kiernan nodded.
With a whistle, the game resumed, and Ariadne immediately took the ball to the middle field, but before she could take a single step from there, Thorsten stood in her path.
He was the man who was in complete control of the center of the field.
She and Thorsten started fighting. Punches flew, kicks were thrown, and it was fierce as hell.
Ariadne was quite petite, and one would think that she gets crushed by the muscular Thorsten, but she kept her ground nicely, holding her own against him.
Thorsten was trying to slap the ball out of her arms but kept missing and hitting her arm instead.
“I’ll help you!”
Roy yelled from the sidelines and blocked Ariadne from the right. He reached out to the ball. His fingers grazed the ball but couldn’t smack it out of her arms.
“Kiernan!”
Ariadne tossed the ball over Roy’s head and towards Kiernan, who was making his way through the left field.
However, Thorsten’s lip curled into a smirk.
This was exactly what they were waiting for!
A chance to steal the ball from a pass!
Through the backfield, Miroslav appeared between the ball and Kiernan. He was specially waiting for the pass to intercept the ball.
“Ah, no!”
Ariadne screamed.
“Get out of the way.”
Kiernan grabbed Miroslav from his arm and yanked him to the side. The yank sent Miroslav rolling through the ground.
The ball landed on Kiernan’s arms.
Kiernan jumped over Miroslav and started making his way to the goal, but then Dietmar tackled him from behind, and made him stumble.
Dietmar grabbed the ball in his hands, trying to rip it off, but then Kiernan twisted his body to the side and elbowed him away.
“Argh!”
Dietmar’s left eye got hit by Kiernan’s elbow, and he immediately stopped and winced in pain. It was a scary hit. He could feel a swelling already forming around his eye.
Lionel’s body tensed up as he saw the unstoppable Kiernan running his way. He braced himself.
However, as Kiernan came close, Roy and Thortsen appeared in his way, waving their arms around in a desperate attempt to stop him.
It worked since all the shooting angles disappeared before his eyes.
“Kiernan!”
Ariadne raised her arm as she made her way to the goal from the other side of the field. She wasn’t guarded!
Kiernan jumped up from the ground. The goalkeeper, Roy, and Thorsten also jumped to block the shot. He managed to fake them all.
Then, with a no-look pass, he tossed the ball over to Ariadne, who caught it, and while falling down to the ground, she threw it to the goal.
The ball smashed into the back of the net.
Whistle~
“Yes!”
Willa cheered from the goal.
“Whew…”
Ariadne looked at the ball in the goal and let out a sigh of relief.
“Good job.”
Kiernan offered her a hand, and she grabbed it before standing back up with a smile.
“Thanks for the pass~”
She said with a blissful smile, and then the two returned back to their side of the field.
“Shit!”
Lionel went deep into the net to pick up the ball. He couldn’t believe that he got faked so easily.
He just didn’t expect Kiernan to actually pass to Ariadne, even though she was wide open to the goal.
They just expected Kiernan to take the shot himself, as with the ego of being among the strongest, that he would want to show off his skills rather than pass the ball.
“Alright, it doesn’t matter. We just need to ensure that we’ll score right back.”
Dietmar said.
Lionel nodded and tossed him the ball.
Whistle~
The game resumed.
