Chapter 371: Three Monsters
The nighttime arrived in the small town of Dusk Town, and it was the darkest of nights as the moon hid behind a thick blanket of clouds.

While the training had ended for today, the hardworking martial arts students went back to their rooms and enjoyed the little free time they had.

Doors swung wide open, music played through the speakers, and laughter echoed down the hallways.

Walking up the stairs of the second floor, Dante arrived at the third floor and saw all the doors wide open.

He looked into one of the rooms and saw a young man watching a martial arts competition on his computer, occasionally cursing as his team was losing.

“…”

Dante stayed silent and checked out another room, where a group of people were studying quietly, not even noticing his presence.

There were all kinds of people in the dojo—some diligent, some more eccentric types, and a few who seemed to be lost in their own world.

“Homerun!”

In one of the rooms, a red-haired young man smashed his baseball at a soft-looking ball and sent it flying out of the room.

It was heading straight towards Dante, but he saw it coming and snatched it from the air before it him in the face.

“Uhm…”

The red-haired young man’s face turned slightly pale, and his friends in the room grimaced before quickly hiding their laughter.

“…”

Dante turned to the red-haired young man, his eyebrow twitching as it was about to fall off his face.

“Why the hell are you playing ball indoors?”

He asked with a reserved anger in his tone.

“It… well, that ball is an indoor ball, so…”

“Not anymore.”

Dante crushed the ball in his hand, causing the air to escape with a loud hiss.

“Oh man… that was my only one…”

The red-haired young man looked dejected and plopped down on his bed with a deep sigh.

“Hmph.”

Dante tossed the deflated ball away and checked out the rest of the rooms to see that everyone was at least behaving.

Because he was the senior brother, he was assigned as the hall monitor, making sure that everyone was behaving during their free time.

There had been instances when people would end up in fights. That’s why one of the strongest students, Dante, was assigned this role to stop something like that from happening.

Tap! Tap! Tap! Tap! Tap!

At that moment, the sound of footsteps—quick ones—reverberated across the hallway, and everyone there knew whose footsteps those were.

Dante rolled his eyes and moved closer to the wall to give enough space in the hallway for that person.

At that moment, coming from the stairs, a blond-haired young man ran so fast that he almost crashed into Dante.

Swoosh!

Wind breezed past Dante, and his eyes could barely follow the young man as he had already crossed the hallway, arriving in front of his room.

“Whew!”

Gunwoo breathed in excitement and stopped his stopwatch, quickly checking his time on the stopwatch.

“From Guard Angel’s Cave to my room, four minutes and forty seconds. Not quite my record, but not bad~”

Gunwoo grinned, but then he felt a hand on his shoulder and turned around to see Dante glaring at him.

“Haha, what’s up, Dante?”

He asked with a cheeky grin.

“You bastard almost crashed into me…”

Dante reeled back his arm, and with muscles forming a tight armor around his arm, he swung his fist.

The punch was perfectly executed with a flawless form!

Yet, even though the strike was flawless, Gunwoo overwhelmed him with his speed and dodged the punch effortlessly.

While leaving afterimages in his wake, Gunwoo blitzed past Gunwoo, and without saying to fight him, he ran back to the stairs.

“Whew, that was a close one, Dante! If that had landed, my head would’ve flown off my shoulders, haha!”

Gunwoo stopped by the stairs and raised his arms in surrender with a few giggles leaving his mouth.

“…”

Dante clicked his tongue and lowered his punching arm, giving Gunwoo a sharp look.

“You speedy little punk…”

“Heh.”

Gunwoo smirked.

At one of the rooms, the students watched the confrontation between the two and were incredibly amazed at the skills displayed by both.

“Dante and Gunwoo… I wonder what would happen if the two of them actually bothered to fight each other at full strength. They’re both senior brothers and acknowledged by Master Arakawa himself!”

“At the upcoming tournament, the seven strongest students will represent Yokai Dojo. Three students had already been chosen as representatives.

“Those are Arakawa Aoi, Dante Rojas, and Gunwoo Park. The remaining four will be decided in the following week or two!”

“I know Arakawa Aoi is Yokai Dojo’s golden child and the most likely successor of Arakawa Raizen. She is already master of Yokai Style’s Gravity Techniques.

“Dante Rojas, on the other hand, is the greatest student of Yokai Style’s Strike Techniques. Master himself acknowledged him as a better striker than even himself, which is crazy, as he created the style!

“Gunwoo Park—while quite eccentric and free-minded—has an innate talent for Yokai Style’s Speed Techniques. He is Natural Fighter, and in Dusk Town, no one can say that they are faster than Gunwoo!

“With these three, our dojo seems close to unbeatable!”

“Yeah, while they are incredibly strong, we shouldn’t underestimate the other dojos. We have our monsters, but they have their very own…”

…

Sweep~

Kiernan finished sweeping the yard and swiped the sweat off his forehead after hours of doing nothing but sweeping.

It was pretty exhausting, but he had done it for much longer back in the mountain dojo, which was why he didn’t reminisce about those days with fondness.

“Quite interesting…”

Kiernan looked to the third floor that sounded quite rowdy, as he didn’t expect the people of this dojo to act like youngsters.

‘Back in the mountain dojo, everyone was so uptight. When you finish with training, you eat and then go back to your room in silence.

‘Different culture in here, but I don’t mind. It’s a much better environment than in that shitty mountain dojo.’
