Chapter 376: Future Martial God
Metallic gates screeched open as if they were rusted shut tight for decades, and several figures, swelling with muscles, dragged a bloodied and unconscious man to one of the jail cells.

They shoved him inside and chained him to the wall.

“Uh…”

Sabbath squinted through his swollen eyes and saw the figures tightly lock the jail cell gate, leaving him alone in the dirty cell.

Chained against the walls, the nearby jail cells had dispirited prisoners, who eyed him tiredly and shook their heads, pitying him for ending in this dark, grimy place.

Through the screeching metal gate, Sacrael walked over to his jail and looked down on him with a lofty smirk.

“You sure put up a fight. You destroyed the Requiem Forest, and it happened to be our tribal chief’s favorite place to relax. He isn’t happy.”

Sacrael said.

“Ptui!”

Sabbath spat out the blood from his mouth, but it quite didn’t reach Sacrael as he intended.

“Filthy… Well, now you know who I am—Alabaster’s real identity. Are you happy?”

“Hmph…”

Sabbath scoffed and asked.

“Are you interested in what has happened with Zachary, your prodigy? I doubt you care, but I will tell you anyway—his martial soul was crippled about a month ago.

“The higher-ups for New Rakuya still held him in high regard because of his talent and got him admitted to the best hospital, where he is living with the help of pain medication.

“His martial arts career is over—he would be lucky if he ever recovered fully, but even if he does, they already found out about his use of Power Drugs.

“They’re keeping it low as they don’t want the public to know that a cheater made it all the way to the nationals final and almost won.

“However, in the eyes of those higher-ups, Zachary is now a disgrace to their country. You know for a fact what will happen to him even if he recovers…”

Sabbath said with a deep sigh.

“Good. That’s what he gets for failing me. If he only had won, my plans would’ve gone so much smoother. Now I have to risk everything…”

Sacrael clicked his tongue.

“Hah…”

Sabbath rolled his eyes and opened his left hand from its clenched state, looking like he was trying to grab something.

“Trying to summon your chained pillar? Not good. Those chains are nullifying your martial ability. Your chained pillar is currently being used as a fountain decoration. It looks really nice~”

“Hmph.”

Sabbath lowered his arms, not surprised in the slightest that they had martial ability nullifying chains, as they would’ve killed him otherwise.

“You can gloat about your victory. I don’t care. There will come a day when I walk out of this place, alive.”

“Oh. You’re talking about prodigy, Kiernan? I gave you the chance to make one phone call because I wanted you to tell Kiernan where you are.

“You told him you were at Bulwark—once it becomes clear that you’ve disappeared, he will link your disappearance to this place.

“I hope he comes to save you so I can kill him by myself. Well, even if he doesn’t, I hope I can meet him at God Island.”

Sacrael said with a smirk.

“You’re going to God Island…? You didn’t win the nationals, and Zachary clearly won’t get selected as New Rakuya’s representative.”

“I had to find another one to replace Zachary—I found one that won Tier Five country’s national championship and will be selected as their representative—I will use him as a way to get to that island.”

“You wouldn’t be counted as a coach, though? The rules state that you must coach the person through the nationals, and since you didn’t, you wouldn’t qualify.”

Sabbath said with a frown.

“I’ve already killed the actual coach, and just like with Alabaster’s persona, I will take his identity and get a free pass to God Island.”

Sacrael said with a loud laugh.

“You fool. Do you have any idea where you are going? It is God Island for fuck’s sake, and the strongest public figures will gather there.

“They will see through your weak disguise with ease!”

Sabbath shouted.

“Yes. They will, but I do not care. I will keep low profile, and when opportunity presents itself, I will steal the champion’s reward from the cold hands of the winner!”

Sacrael said with a smirk.

“Haha, so that is your plan—you want to steal the reward, huh? I expected something more, but in the end, it is all about greed, isn’t it?”

“Hmph. You don’t know anything—I won’t steal that reward for myself, but instead I will give it to the tribal chief as his birthday present.

“With that gift, he will finally have enough talent and drive to break through Martial Emperor rank and will reach Immortal Stage!”

“Then it is only a matter of time before he reaches Martial God Stage, and I shall be his second-in-command while he ascends to the throne of Martial God!”

Sacrael said with flushed cheeks and started breathing heavily, thinking about the glorious future.

“Hahahahaha!”

Sabbath laughed loudly.

“Martial God? You truly are a fool. You Bulwarkians are way over your head if you think your tribal chief has any chance!

“You think it is easy to become Martial God? Immortal Stage is already the death of many legendary martial artists, let alone the final step to become Martial God.

“It doesn’t matter how much talent one has—the tribulation lightning is the talent killer, and it will strike down all who attempt to ascend to the level of Martial God.”

Sabbath said.

“Silence!”

Sacrael screamed with reddened eyes.

“You still have a purpose in life—you will be one of the many sacrifices for our tribal chief’s ascension to Martial God.”

Sacrael said.

“This is the path that he is going for? The path of blood. Only the strong will survive, and those who are willing to shed blood for power, the motto of the Blood Path.

“Your tribal chief will be facing Red Tribulation Lightning of the Blood Path—it is one of the strongest variants. He will die like a burned dog.”

Sabbath said with a laugh.

“Too bad that you won’t be there to see it when our glorious tribal chief becomes Martial God—you will just be one of the many sacrifices, but maybe that is something to be proud of.

“After all, you’re one of the blood droplets that will ensure his ascension.”
