Martial Arts Worlds - Chapter 427
Chapter 427: Semi Giant’s Strength
Within the mostly destroyed forest, the participants of the martial arts festival started to walk back to the temple through the broken rock wall.
They wouldn’t be able to fix it at this time, so everyone was free to also leave the temple’s grounds and fight in the forest if they so desired.
“Good job~”
Aoi jumped into Kiernan’s arms and hugged him tightly—she then saw that many eyes looked at them, so she turned embarrassed and hurriedly let go of him.
“Strong showing there, Kiernan.”
Master Arakawa said with an approval nod.
“He didn’t stand a chance against you! Hugo is one of the most annoying opponents to fight, but you made easy work out of him!”
Dante said with a grin.
He was also happy that they were still in the tournament, but now it was his turn, so he needed to put in his best effort.
After such a great showing from Kiernan, he didn’t want to disappoint his dojo and let it go to waste just for him to lose in his fight.
“You didn’t want to fight him in the sand, right? I saw your intention to go to the forest to fight, why?”
Master Arakawa said.
“I just thought that I would be able to end the fight faster in the forest, using those trees as weapons for my own advantage.
“If I fought in the sand, I think I would’ve beaten him in ten minutes or so. In the end, the decision was made to end the fight faster.”
Kiernan said.
Master Arakawa nodded and then motioned for his students to return back to the temple’s grounds as the next round would start shortly.
As Kiernan made his way down to the broken rock wall, suddenly someone started walking next to him.
A familiar face.
“I wanted to fight you, yet you went and fought Hugo? Why? I thought there was some rivalry between us two.”
Leon asked with a sharp gaze.
“A rivalry? Hardly. I just thought that my skills were suitable to fight Hugo, that’s all.”
Kiernan said.
“Well, that is indeed a shame. Now there is no one that can beat me. You’ve doomed your dojo, Mister Arakawa Kiernan.”
Leon said.
“Did I now? I think you’ve forgotten, but I am not the ace of the dojo. She is.”
Kiernan said as he looked straight ahead at the back of the head of black-haired girl.
“Your little girlfriend? I know she is the only Middle Stage Martial Master of your dojo’s lineup, but so am I, and she doesn’t stand a chance against me.”
Leon said.
“She is my fiancée, actually, and you shouldn’t underestimate her. I chose to fight Hugo because I knew she would be fighting after me.”
Kiernan said, picked up his pace, and brushed past Leon, while he stayed behind with a perplexed expression on his face.

With the coin in hand, the temple priest tossed it up, caught it skillfully in his palm, and tossed it again.
With a nod, the two masters walked over to him with serious looks on their faces.
The scoreboard didn’t look so one-sided anymore.
It was now three-two, and one victory away from ending the fight or tying it.
“Master Arakawa. It is your choice.”
The temple priest said.
“I’ll go with heads.”
Master Arakawa said.
Swoosh!
The temple priest tossed the gold coin into the air, watched as it kept spinning around, and then caught it before it landed on the sand.
He revealed the coin.
“It’s heads!”
Master Arakawa let out a sigh, nodded, and walked back to his students while Master Sifu looked solemn and disappointed.
The choice was easy this time around.
From Ghoul Dojo’s area, a strange-looking young man stepped forward with his oversized tongue flapping outside his mouth.
His enormous ears looked like they could work as satellite dishes, and the rest of his body was covered in tattoos of ancient symbols.
“Callum Fraser…”
Dante looked sharply at the person who was definitely going to be his opponent.
It felt weird fighting against someone with such a strange body type and hoped that Callum wouldn’t use his oversized tongue to slap him or something.
“Dante. Your turn.”
Master Arakawa said.
“Yup!”
Dante hopped to his feet, took off his yukata, and walked to the battle sand, feeling the sand’s rough texture beneath his feet.
Standing on the sand made him want to go visit a beach soon, and he probably would after the festival was over.
After years of non-stop training, a small vacation sounded really great.
However, before that, he had to win!
Dante formed a fist with his right, and smoke started to emerge from his hand.
In Yokai Dojo, if anyone asked any student there who was the greatest striker there, they would all have the same answer—Dante Rojas!
“Callum Fraser vs. Dante Rojas—FIGHT!”
The temple priest swung his arm down, and one of the guards smacked the gong with a ringing sound that echoed throughout the temple.
Dante and Callum, as if they had the same brain, punched at the same time and smashed their fists into each other’s fists.
SMACK!
Shockingly enough, Dante’s fist got pushed backwards, and his eyes widened in shock, signaling how rare that was.
“I am Semi Giant, fool. It means I have half of the giant’s strength as well!”
Callum said and punched Dante across his face, sending him flying through the air and through the temple’s walls.
He rolled through the air, and when he stopped, he was lying on the ground of the forest with a bloody nose and aching body.
When he opened his mouth, his teeth were crimson, and he tasted metal.
“That’s better. At least he didn’t use his fucking tongue to attack me.”
Dante touched his jaw, fixed it back to its place, and walked through the broken wall while shaking his head slightly.
“…”
Callum stopped walking as he was about to leave the temple’s grounds to go find Dante in the forest, but surprisingly, he came straight back.
“I have never been beaten in striking, and I won’t lose now.”
Dante said, and he clenched his fist so hard that it caught flames!
