Chapter 433: Domination
Master Raju, with a calm poise, sat cross-legged with an aura of authority.

However, he had some sickly green skin that made him look like he was from another planet or just very ill.

Behind him, rows of joyless-looking students stood in black yukatas with black belts and looked absentminded and disinterested.

However, at the front seats, his chosen seven fighters had different kinds of expressions—smiles, determined frowns, and eager eyes that reflected their readiness to compete.

“Grendoria’s level of fighters is so low these days that they have to invite an outsider to compete? Haha!”

Jaden Carter smirked and leaned back in his seat, exuding confidence and arrogance. He had an athletic, medium skin tone with curly brown hair and green eyes.

“Ghoul Dojo sure has fallen low. All I’ve heard about how great that Leon Garcia is, yet he fell flat on his face. It’s almost embarrassing how pathetic he was.”

Lucas Oliveira said with a smirk.

He had a tan complexion, almost copper, with a muscular frame, dark wavy hair, and expressive brown eyes.

“Oho~ Maybe Yokai Dojo is just strong~”

Li Wei said with a chuckle.

He was lean, fair-skinned with neatly cropped black hair, and soft facial features with focus in his gaze.

His voice was very high-pitched, as if he was still going through puberty, with a few voice cracks here and there.

“Strong? They should be ashamed to allow outsiders to fight in this martial arts festival. It’s a little bit too good of a coincidence that Master Arakawa’s granddaughter happened to get engaged to a strong foreigner, don’t you think so?”

Rein Schneider said with a scoff.

He had a strong jaw, blond hair curling down, and deep-set blue eyes that seemed to pierce right through you.

Accompanied by his athletic build, he looked like he could easily overpower anyone who dared to cross him.

“Well, that Aoi girl doesn’t seem to be as innocent as she wants to pretend. A whore, she is~”

Amelia Foster said with a spiteful tone.

She was fair-skinned with auburn hair tied in a ponytail and soft green eyes. Despite her frail and cutesy appearance, her tone was filled with venom and malice.

“Hehe~”

Cian O’Donnell laughed at her words.

While also looking like a foreigner from Lava Lands, Cian had a fair complexion that could be matched with a porcelain doll, curly red hair, and freckles.

He didn’t look like he could put up much of a fight in a match, but he was actually the second strongest fighter of Wraith Dojo.

Only one person was stronger than him—and it was the one sitting next to him.

“…”

With a silent poise, Maximilian Gruber looked silently at the sand without making a single comment.

He had a pale complexion, short dark blond hair, and seemed very reserved, but there was also some joyless calmness in his expression.

It was almost like a storm was raging inside of him, but he was able to suppress it with his unwavering composure.

At that moment, the gong sounded, and the temple priest raised his arm.

“Second match—Kitsune Dojo vs. Wraith Dojo!”

With quick steps, Master Raju and Freya met in front of the temple priest, exchanged a brief glance, and then turned back to the temple priest.

“With better results in last year’s competition, Kitsune Dojo has the right to start the coin flip.”

The temple priest said and showed the gold coin with a silver edge.

“Heads!”

Freya said, crossed her arms under her bosom, and pushed them up like a warrior princess.

With a toss, the coin reached high in the sky and came straight back down. It landed on the temple priest’s palm.

It showed heads.

“Master Raju—you choose the first fighter.”

The temple priest said.

“Jaden!”

Master Raju shouted so loud that it wasn’t a surprise if the entire town could hear it with his booming voice.

“Damn…”

Freya touched her ears as she felt a sharp pain shoot through them.

“Yo~”

Jaden made his way to the sand, cracked his knuckles with a smirk on his face, and stared down his opponents.

It didn’t matter who was going up against him. He would crush them!

“Sora!”

Freya called out.

The little sister of the Kurosawa family, Sora, stood up, innocently blinking, and took off her yukata as she stepped onto the sand.

Her big brother, Kurosawa Hiroshi, immediately looked serious and looked silently into Jaden’s eyes.

It was a deadly stare.

“Oho~ Your big brother is looking at me like he wants to kill me. Haha!”

Jaden said with a laugh.

“He is very protective. If you hurt me, he might kill you~”

Sora said with a wink and moved to her fighting stance with a mischievous grin.

“I’d like to see him try, haha!”

Jaden grinned, raised his arms, and stared into Sora’s innocent eyes with a challenging glint.

“FIGHT!”

…

Bang!

The door got slammed open.

“Master!”

Goto Yori entered Master Arakawa’s office and found him sitting behind his desk, a look of sleepiness in his eyes.

He was about to start leaving for his home, as it was already pretty late.

“Yes, what is it?”

Master Arakawa looked at him with a tired gaze.

“The match between Wraith Dojo and Kitsune Dojo has concluded!”

Goto Yori said.

“Already?”

Master Arakawa checked the wristwatch and saw that it had been a measly half an hour from the moment they left the temple.

Their match against Ghoul Dojo lasted about two and a half hours.

“Yes, it has already ended—it was one-sided bullying!”

Goto Yori shouted.

“Wraith Dojo bested Kitsune Dojo with a score of four to zero and will be our opponents for tomorrow!”

“What? Kitsune Dojo didn’t win a single round? They were last year’s finalists, and I heard a great deal about their roster for this year.

“It was supposed to be as good as last year’s, if not better.”

Master Arakawa said with a frown.

“I heard that too, but… Wraith Dojo destroyed them nonetheless. After they got a three-to-zero lead, Kitsune Dojo sent their ace, Genevieve Laurent, to at least get one victory.

“She fought against Cian O’Donnell and lost miserably.”

Goto Yori said.

“…”

Master Arakawa leaned on his chair and said.

“I wonder what happened in Wraith Dojo—their seven chosen fighters of this year used to be their weakest fighters only a year ago.

“I wonder how their weakest became their strongest.”
