“Tsk, what the hell did you do to this poor thing? It would be best if you alphas kept your libido in check. Despite your friend’s sweet smell and attractive physique, she must fully become an omega.”

“Any reckless action could end up harming her physically and mentally. You need to be delicate with her in the future.”

Rika’s sleep had been deep until she woke up abruptly. She did not open her eyes, but the sound of conversations around her reached her ear.

That included the doctor’s voice talking to Emily and Damian.

There was silence from her friend’s side, meaning they did not want to discuss what had happened.

Rika somewhat remembered what happened. Remembering that kiss and the looks she got sent shivers down her spine.

Those hot hands, Damian and Emily’s blazing looks and their hungry expressions and actions were noted in Rika’s mind, and she did not think she could forget them.

Not did she want to forget them.

After all, that moment had been something she had been dreaming about for some time now. It had felt even better than she hoped it would.

Unfortunately, it all happened because Emily took a drug and was forced to calm down with Rika’s help. Damian was likely also influenced by Emily’s atmosphere.

Rika does not regret or deny what she did with her friends, but she is unsure if she would do it again if you ask her.

She did not want to risk her friendship over a possible infatuation she had with her friends.

“For now, you both should go and get yourself checked out. The reports said that there was an enhancer in your drink that caused you to go feral.”

“It would be best if you get yourself checked out. In the meantime, I will look at your friend and call you once she awakens again.”

The doctor advised that Emily had all the intentions of fighting her when Damian placed a hand on his shoulder and dragged her out.

Rika felt a cold but familiar stare look at her for a second, but she did not open her eyes in response.

And just as quickly as they had arrived here, the alpha duo left the scene.

“Tsk, I hate those arrogant alphas. They think they can do anything because they have power and influence. Well, you can wake up now. I am sure you enjoyed listening to what we discussed, girl.”

The doctor turned toward Rika before poking her to ensure that no mistake happened on anyone’s part.

She was letting Rika know she was not fooled and should stop pretending.

Rika opened her eyes slowly, and her first look told her everything she needed to know about her situation.

“I don’t like hospitals. This is the fourth time I ended up coming here in a week. I don’t think it is normal.”

Rika complained to lighten the mood. She did not seem to know what else to say to a doctor she did not know.

The doctor did not even bat an eye at Rika’s words. She quickly checked all her vitals before helping her sit down.

“Well, I would be grateful if you also stopped coming here. But seeing how your ‘friends’ pay so well, my interests are rather conflicted. Anyway, there seems to be no serious injury this time, and all your levels are harmonious. How do you feel right now?”

The doctor asked in a calm voice. She did not seem worried about Rika’s health and safety, which likely meant she was okay.

At least physically, she was fine.

“I feel okay. Well, it’s a little numb, to be honest, but it’s overall bearable. I can walk fine once I regain control over my limbs.”

Rika admitted as she tried to flex her arm.

It felt numb and refused to move. Most of her body was unresponsive at this point, and it hurt to move them.

And that pain was getting worse by the second.

“Don’t try to move for now. We had to give you a strong sedative since a normal one was not working, and our special ones had a chance to cause complications in your body. By the way, smell this. Can you tell what kind of scent this is?”

The doctor pushed a small piece of paper toward Rika to smell.

She was spectacle about smelling an unknown thing, but she trusted her friends and their chosen doctor and smelled that small piece.

It smelled like nothing, which made Rika concerned.

“Is this supposed to smell like something? I’m sorry, but I can’t smell anything even when I hold it close to my nose.”

Rika chose to be truthful as she placed the paper back in the doctor’s hand.

The doctor looked fascinated with this discovery.

“Really! You cannot smell anything? Are you aware you are releasing omega pheromones in response to the alpha pheromones lacing this paper? Your pheromones are rather strong ones, at that.”

The doctor calmly spoke, but those words spiked Rika’s heart rate in fear. She felt…startled at the notion of letting out omega pheromones.

“Didn’t you say I was more beta than an omega? Then why are these pheromones still coming out?”

Rika asked the doctor in an almost panicked voice, but the doctor did not look baffled.

“Calm down! This only happens because your body is confused about whether to be a beta or an omega. Your time spent with an alpha in pseudo-rut did not help. It made your body want to wake up even more.”

“The more time you spend with alphas and the more you take their pheromones, the more your body is affected and transforms faster. It is a natural phenomenon, and you cannot stop it.”

“So, unless you want to become an omega and spend your life like that, you better keep your distance and stop pulling these stunts. The choice is yours to make.”

The doctor dropped this bomb on Rika’s head before she left. It made Rika feel sick, but she had already decided what she wanted to do.
