‘What the fuck am I doing right now?’

Andrew Tweten was a busy man. He had a lot of work to do, and he was never free. That was why he did not like entertaining things he did not care about.

So, what was he doing at the Goodwill family house on his precious work day and entertaining them?

‘Oh yeah! I remember now! It was all because that old bitch tricked me by telling me Rika was coming to the lunch as well. I should have known that this was one of her tricks to get me to meet her spoilt youngest.’

Andrew was a polite and rational alpha but was also dominant and could only take so many insults before he snapped.

He nearly reached his threshold and snapped at the annoying brat before him.

“So, Andrew, Mom told me you are already the head of the Tweten family. Is it not difficult for you to head the company at such a young age? It must be tough.”

Suzie Goodwill dared to reach out and touch his hand. Her pheromones also tried to interact with him and ‘calm’ him down.

But if she thought such basic tricks would work on him, she was more naive than he thought.

Andrew withdrew his hand before Suzie could touch it and made a mocking face back at her and her guard do-*cough* older brother.

“Our family matters are none of your business, Miss Goodwill. I would appreciate it if you would keep me out of this matter. Alpha Goodwill, teach your youngest how to read the room and act accordingly.”

“I told you before, right? You should be careful when you offend someone.”

Andrew was not playing around. Although he let his pheromones out for only a few seconds, it was enough to make Suzie gasp and almost collapse.

She looked sick and almost shocked because of what happened, but Andrew was not worried about her reaction.

It was standard for people to feel uncomfortable or faint after taking the full force of his pheromones, so he kept them in check like this.

“Andrew Tweten, stop it! You might be our guest, but I won’t tolerate such behaviour in my house. You cannot come here and then threaten my daughter like this.”

Alpha Goodwill stopped holding back as well. Her pheromones were potent.

Natasha Goodwill’s pheromones were nowhere near the level of dominant Andrew’s were, but she had more experience with them and got better control. She was a scary opponent to deal with.

Plus, she was also Rika’s mother. Andrew wanted to have a decent relationship with her, so he stopped before he could make any more mistakes.

“I apologise. I was trying to show your youngest that this world is cruel, and she needs to be careful.”

“It will be better to make her aware of her shortcomings in a controlled environment rather than face the consequences in the future. Don’t you agree with me, Alpha Goodwill?”

Andrew smiled at the alpha before him but knew the female alpha beside him was speechless.

He had used her own words against her.

“Mark, take Suzie up for now and tend to her. Make sure you give her the right medicine. Maybe it will be better for her if she sits this lunch out.”

Andrew felt satisfied hearing these words. He wanted this in the first place, so he was happy to see that he succeeded.

Mark looked torn between attacking Andrew and helping Suzie out. However, one order from her mother caused Andrew to quickly head back up and help Suzie get to her room.

“Are you feeling alright now, Suzie? Mother thinks that you should sit out for lunch, and I have to say that I agree with her. Maybe it will be better if you don’t come down today. Your condition-”

Suzie pushed the empty glass away from her mouth and stood up. She looked far more confident and determined than a few seconds ago.

“I cannot afford to sit out this dinner. I cannot appear weaker than I already showed myself to be.”

The omega seemed determined to prove herself in front of her family and her future partners.

She had also heard her mother talking about Damian and Emily’s arrival.

This was a perfect opportunity to get the three alphas to fight each other and deepen their interest in Suzie Goodwill.

“Brother, you know how long I have been in love with Emily and Damian, right? I would be happy if either of them said that they liked me. And I will make that happen today by making them jealous.”

So, what if the alpha pair had not gotten jealous of Suzie before? They did not have a strong enough rival to feel threatened.

But this time, it would be different. This time, Suzie would make sure she would entice them and trap them in her scent.

“Don’t be ridiculous, Suzie! Can’t you see your condition? You are shaking, and it looks like you are about to give up. Just how long do you think you can keep this all up? You might die if you push yourself any more than this.”

Mark shook the female in front of him.

He wanted to shape and ask her if she was serious, but he could not bring himself. One look at her face was enough to shatter all his resolve.

“Brother, don’t worry! Have I ever failed to charm someone other than that alpha pair in my life? It is destiny! They can only resist my charm because they are my soulmates. And I will prove it to you all today.”

Suzie assured her brother and Mark that she suddenly felt wrong about what Suzie was about to do.

‘I hope nothing goes wrong today. As much as I don’t like that stupid pair, even I realise how ridiculous it is to make an enemy out of them. I hope Suzie does not do anything that would get her into trouble.’
