Chapter 147: Ch 147: The confrontation
“Y-Y-You! There is a limit to how much you can insult me. And you just crossed that limit. I don’t care how much I was asked to stay away from you. I will not let my pride shatter.”

The omega was letting out a sour pheromone that indicated how upset she was.

Rika had used powerful scent blockers that the doctor had given her for emergency use, but she decided to take them today because she did not want to risk them.

The omega’s scent was negligible but still made Rika’s body tense as soon as she felt it. She did not like to be surrounded by these pheromones.

“Hey! Maybe you should calm down. You are stinking up the whole place.”

The more level-headed omega friend of the group placed her hand on her friend’s shoulder to calm her down.

But the first omega was too prideful to be tamed.

Not only did she shrug that hand off her shoulder, but she also looked pissed and caused all the people around her to look in her direction and notice what was happening.

“Don’t you dare say such a thing to me! Calm down? Do you want me to calm down? Why should I calm down? Give me a good reason, and I might do that. But you can’t, right? Because you don’t have one. Now shut up and let me teach this kid a lesson, too.”

The omega threatened her friends, and her scent got even sharper.

Rika could see the first omega giving up on her friend and step back a safe distance.

“Sorry! I tried to stop my friend, but she did not want to listen. I hope you will not hold me responsible for what is happening.”

At least one or two people seemed sensible and stepped away before any trouble could brew.

Rika still felt slightly stunned facing everything, and her stunned look made the attacking omega rather happy.

“You look stupid when you just stand there like a statue. It will be easy to take care of you. I should also have it done in front of a crowd so they can know what kind of loser you are for themselves.”

The omega bragged, but the real threat was her friends who moved toward Rika.

Rika looked at the alphas, who wanted to look good in front of that rude omega and walked toward Rika with an intimidating step.

It would have looked far more intimidating if these alphas did not flair like awkward teenagers who did not know what to do with their muscles.

‘Ah, more fodder. What should I do now? This will never end if I allow them to walk all over me now. But I am not in the mood to fight either. This is a tough match to decide.’

Rika sighed as she faced the people in front of her.

Her sigh was taken as a sign of fear, and the alphas looked happy to have intimidated her.

One of them grabbed Rika’s shirt and pulled her up.

“Listen here, you little punk! Just because you were able to-”

There was a limit to Rika’s patience for these fools. She was not in a charitable mood today, so she grabbed the air, reached for the shirt, and gave the alpha in front of her a deadpan look.

Rika watched as the poor alphas flinched.

‘Ah, so these people are untrained. I am sure that they are shocked since their pheromones are not working on me. Now, shall I give them an even bigger surprise?’

Rika twisted the air she had grabbed, and before anyone knew it, she had the alpha down on the floor. He looked in pain as he shuffled around to try and get free.

“You should only try to go after what you can handle. Did you try to harass me because I looked like easy prey to you? But remember that even the prey can fight back when it feels threatened.”

Rika’s eyes looked terrifying when she spoke.

It made everyone else quickly back away from her and not want to come near her.

‘Tsk! Looks like no one would want to be my friend after this. I should end this quickly before I get into trouble.’

Once Rika felt satisfied with her message, she quickly let the alpha go. He had been humbled enough today, and she did not think she needed to do anything more for him.

“You little bitch! I am going to kill you.”

The alpha proved he wanted to avoid learning from his mistake, and Rika could have easily dodged his clumsy attack.

But she had already noticed the teacher walking toward her and her attacker quickly. The teacher looked pissed, and Rika decided to pull a risky move.

Despite her capabilities, Rika allowed that punch to hit her face and leave a mark on it. It stunned everyone, especially the attacking alpha.

“Ha! As if you are anything more than a bitch who just got lucky before. Now, I will give up and forgive you if you beg before me and ask me to take good care of you. Go on! Hurry up and beg-”

The alpha student was suddenly detained by the heavier and bulker teacher.

Everyone quickly walked away from the scene, not wanting to be held accountable or be considered a part of what was happening.

“May I know what is going on here, everyone?’

The teacher asked once he had the alpha attacker in his grasp.

Most of the group that planned this attack had already disappeared among the crown and left.

But the handful that was left behind looked pissed that they had been stopped from doing what they wanted.

“Tsk, can’t you see what I am doing here? Can you teach? I’m educating my junior about the hierarchy in society and what hardship is. Now bug off and allow me to do what I am doing peacefully.”

The alpha boasted before he turned back to Rika and noticed the bruise on her face.

It was visible and glaring red. It did not sit well for the image of the collage to have an injured student rooming around like this.
