Chapter 148: Ch 148: Show you an Alpha
Rika stood back and watched the confrontation happening.
As much as she wanted to believe that the teacher was here to help her, she could also see him taking the alpha’s side.
Rika hated to admit it, but alphas were considered elite in everyday society and tended to have a superiority complex most of the time. The same was the case with most normal household omegas.
The average society had far fewer alphas and omegas than betas, considered ‘normies.’ So, people also catered to them more and tried to get into their good grace.
Looking at the teacher, he was considering what to do next.
A fair person would have taken Rika’s side instantly since she was the one hit. But the teacher was weighing his options and trying to decide if he wanted to make an enemy out of another alpha or not.
Rika knew she should feel bitter, but she found this funny.
She had seen people acting way worse in high society. They could stab you with a smile and not feel a thing.
Compared to that cold indifference, this visible struggle on the teacher’s face was almost cute. However, the outcome was clear the second the teacher stepped his foot forward.
*sigh*
‘This is not going to end if I don’t say anything. Now, this slap does not feel worth it. I should end this discussion before I am at a disadvantage.
“Teacher, I am fine. I want to head home now. And before you ask, I don’t want to press charges against anyone this time.”
Rika spoke calmly to let the teacher know she was alright.
The teacher looked at her awkwardly, but he also looked relieved that he would not have to make an enemy today.
“Hey! This is not over yet! Come back here and face me properly. How dare you run away from me like this. Do you think I will let you go?”
The younger alpha asked with an angry expression on his face as he threatened Rika.
However, the teacher was much more active this time, placing a hand on the alpha’s shoulder to calm him down.
“John, you should calm down. There is no point in trying to fight someone right now. It is the opening ceremony, and you should not cause trouble. Do you want the police to be involved with you again?”
The teacher asked, and Rika was right to assume that these two were close.
‘At least the teacher is sensible and gets my point. The police might try to take John’s side, but this minor incident could blow big. I doubt the teacher will allow that to happen.’
This situation was currently in the Alphas’ favour, but who knew what would happen if this incident blew big.
Most people would find this to be the alpha’s fault because he assaulted a beta female and lost his temper. It would not matter what the truth was (not that they would be wrong), but it would put the alpha at a disadvantage.
Rika knew that the omega of their group had also realised that, and she quickly pulled John back before he could do anything else.
“Ah, thank you for your warning, teacher. We will keep our heads down from here on.”
The omega quickly interfered, and the teacher’s eyes softened.
Rika did not want to look further into that longing look on the teacher’s face when he looked at the omega before him. She felt she would find something disturbing if she did that.
“Tsk! Looks like justice would not be served today either. Hey, kid, it would be best to be careful from now on. That alpha kid doesn’t look happy to let you go. I am sure he will cause you trouble.”
The janitor returned to check up on Rika and the things happening around her.
His dissatisfaction was evident in his face, and Rika stepped away from the janitor since she felt awkward standing near him.
The other beta did not seem to mind Rika’s actions, but he did seem annoyed by the teacher and John’s actions.

“Well, what can we do about that? It would be best if you got your face checked out, kid. I am sure that it must hurt.”
The Janitor pointed toward Rika’s face, where a considerable bruise was already forming.
Rika took out her phone to check her face quickly. And she had to admit that her face looked worse than it felt.
There was no pain in her face, but the swelling looked horrible.
“Ah, looks like they are done talking. That fraud is coming toward us. I should get going now.”
The beta janitor quickly exited, but not before sparing a last resenting look at the alpha walking toward them.
“I apologise for what John and his company did to you. And I hope you realise that it was not intentional on their part. Their emotions got the better of them there. You know how it is with these dynamics and all.”
Had Rika not known other self-absorbed alphas who would make up any excuse to justify their actions, her jaw would have dropped to the ground upon hearing these words.
But because Rika knew Mark and Suzie quite well, she was not even phased when the alpha teacher made an excuse and tried to spin the whole situation on Rika’s head.
“Hmm, I understand that! I should not expect better from alphas or omegas at this point. They all lack control and maybe even a few screws.”
Rika’s insult was not said mockingly, and the teacher looked taken aback by her words.
She was sure this was the first time someone had talked back to this teacher. She could tell just by looking at his face.
“Tsk, you see what a bastard that bitch is, and you still want me to play nice? Let me look at her! I will show her what a true alpha is like. Just give me a minute with her, teach.”
John replied angrily. He did not seem like the type that would settle this situation calmly.
‘Looks like it is going to be a tough time for all of us.’
