Chapter 171: Ch 171: Do you like me?
No one brought up the conversation about what happened.

It should have been a good thing, but Rika felt her stomach churn at the anxiety she felt at not being appropriately addressed. She just wanted to justify what was happening and where this relationship was headed.

Emily reached out to pick Rika up, but Rika placed her hand on top of Emily’s and pushed her hand down.

Her eyes were hesitant, but Rika gathered her courage to ask the question that had been plaguing her mind for some time.

“Emily, Dami, what is our relationship now? We used to be friends, but are we still friends? Or is it something more? I want an answer from you both regarding where we stand with each other.”

Rika asked the question she had wanted to ask for some time.

Neither Emily nor Damian looked taken aback. They had been expecting this question for some time now.

Finally, Emily answered Rika’s worries with a serene smile.

“Our relationship can be whatever you want it to be. If you want us to be friends, then we will be friends. If you want us to be lovers, we can also be lovers. We don’t mind any relationship with you if you decide to stay by our side. Right, Dami?”

Emily’s words sounded sincere and touching.

But it was different from what Rika wanted to hear from her.

This vague relationship, these undefined boundaries! Rika wanted none of them.

After all, Emily’s words were not a confession of love or having feelings. It was just possessiveness toward a friend that she did not want to lose.

Rika also looked toward Damian, expecting his answer to be similar to Emily’s. But contrary to her belief, Damian had an annoyed look on his face when he looked at Rika.

“I am not participating in this bullshit! I want you as my omega, Rika! Nothing less than that will do.”

“Dami, we talked about it! We need to go slow-!”

“Fuck slow. We had already slept together, and we even marked Rika. I no longer want to wait to claim or tell her how I feel. You can bullshit all you want about having a ‘friendly’ relationship with her, but I will not deny my feelings for her.”

Rika felt…confused and shocked at the same time.

She heard what Damian was saying, but it did not register in her head until after the male alpha stood up and walked toward Rika.

By the time Rika came to her senses, Damian was standing right in front of her, and he pulled her hard against his body before kissing her deeply.

That kiss left no room for doubt about Damian’s feelings about Rika.

All the possessiveness, obsession and love he felt for her could be felt in that kiss. It was not one that people gave their friends. It was not even a ‘lover’s kiss.

It was one people gave their life partner, those they never wanted to part from.

Rika felt dizzy, and her brain shot-circuited when Damian pulled back. But she could still see the dark obsession in Damian’s eyes when she looked up at him.

“Do you understand what I want from you now? As much as I want to give you a chance to run, I don’t think I can do that anymore. You should have never allowed me to taste you in the first place.”

Rika shivered at the dark tone Damian’s voice had. It made Rika’s body tremble. She could not think of anything but having Damian’s hand on her face.

Damian holds Rika’s attention for one second, and it is stolen by Emily the very next second when she inserts herself between Damian and Rika.

“This is enough, Dami! You will scare Rika if you come across this strongly at her. We have waited years already. We can wait a little longer to let Rika make her choice. We should–”

Rika was forming a picture of her situation, but it felt impossible for that to happen.

But even so, Rika felt these two liked her and wanted to be with her. It was just a feeling, but all these actions were confusing her. She wanted an answer, so she decided to ask the question.

“Hey! Do you both like me? Not in a ‘friend’ way but a ‘romantic’ way?”

Rika’s question was straightforward, and she asked it to ensure she was not getting ahead of herself again.

Her question made Emily panic; her first instinct was to avoid the question or give a vague answer.

“Huh? Why would you ask such a thing, Rika? It would be best if you rested for now. We can have this conversation later when-”

“I like you. No! I would even go as far as to say I fell in love with you before you were an omega. If Emily does not want to admit her feelings, it’s not my concern. But I will not run away anymore.”

Damian cut Emily off before she could make an excuse. His gaze was earnest and did not hide anything.

It was clear that he firmly believed in what he was saying, and his face showed no doubt.

Rika had no other option but to believe what Damian just said. His words were that powerful.

“Shit! Fuck! I did not want to confess like this. I wanted this to be special, with roses and such. I cannot believe Rika asked us this question before I could confess.”

Emily looked panicking, and it was easy to guess that she elt the same way Damia did.

But Emily did not want any hint of doubt anymore.

Now that Damian had confessed his feelings, she also did not want to keep hers hidden.

“I love you as well, Rika. You are my first and only love. I’m sure it’s the same for Damian as well. You are why we got together to take care of urges first.”

Emily confessed. It all sounded a little too much for Rika.

She felt happy, annoyed, scared, and so much more in that short amount of time.

Rika might have forced this confession out of the pair, but she was not ready to accept it or answer it.
