Chapter 176: Ch 176: Let’s plan it out
“Suzie, why don’t you head back to your room? I need to talk with Mark about something serious. But you will get bored if you stay here.”
The oldest female alpha looked at her alpha son when she said these words.
She might have been addressing her youngest when she opened her mouth, but there was no illusion in anyone’s mind that her words were meant for her oldest instead.
Suzie made an annoyed face when she heard her mother’s words and opened her mouth to protest.
“No! I will not head back inside even if you tell me to. I want to stay here and participate in this talk as well. I am old enough to understand things. You cannot treat me like a little child anymore.”
Suzie complained as she put her foot down and stomped the ground.
Natasha rubbed her eyebrows when she noticed what her youngest was doing. She also had to say that she wanted to be more impressed with Suzie.
“This is why I do not think you are mature enough for these conversations, Suzie! I just said one thing, and you are ready to protest. You have yet to be ready for this conversation. And no! Pouting at me will not get you what you want.”
Suzie’s expression went from pouting to calm when her mother told her it would not work.
Sometimes, Suzie could tell if her acting would work out, and her instincts told her that her mother was not in the mood to listen to her.
“Fine! I will head inside this time. But you won’t be able to keep me out of the loop forever.”
Suzie had a lot of ways to get the information that she needed.
In this case, even if her mother wanted to keep her mouth shut and keep Suzie out of the loop, she still had Mark and her father inform her about what was happening.
Once Suzie knew that was happening, she needed to form a plan for what she should do next.
She was not about to lose her position and her brother to an unknown omega.
‘I don’t know whose pheromones those were on Mark’s clothes, but I will not allow her to come into our family and ruin all I have done to establish my position. If I can alienate Rika from our family, I can also easily do that to an unnamed omega.’
Suzie was sure about what she needed to do. But before that, she needed to talk to her grandmother and tell her what was happening.
Her grandmother understood Suzie and helped her out as well. She understood what being an omega in a family like Goodwill felt like, and she had been guiding Suzie ever since she was small/
‘Grandmother is never wrong about these things. I should ask her what I should do next.’
…
*Sigh*
“Mark, aren’t you *too close* to Suzie these days? You are just trying to be a good brother, but you should maintain a little distance from her. You are at a marriageable age, after all.”
The younger alpha looked at his mother with a tired look on his face.
Mark’s friends had teased him about the same thing a while back, but Mark snapped at them. Mark was not sure if he would be able to snap at his mother.
Not in the current situation, at least.
“I know it looks like I am too close to Suzie, but I don’t know how to distance myself from her now. She is too deeply involved with my daily life, so I no longer know what to do.”
Mark confessed as she sighed and looked away.
Mark felt ashamed for being too close to Suzie for the first time. He was also regretful since it caused a big fight between him and Rika.
“I see! I have seen you interact with Suzie for a long, so I can understand why you feel that way. Also, did you meet Rika? Where did you run into her? Was she doing alright?”
Natasha was as calm as she could be. But Mark looked agitated before he sighed and looked away.

“I saw her in the hospital. That was why I left Suzie alone for a little while with the doctor. I…do not know what Rika came to the hospital for, but she was not alone. Emily and Damian were there as well.”
“They likely took Rika home, but I don’t know what happened afterwards. Fuck! I should not have left her alone with those friends. There is no way they would have kept their hands to themselves. Not with the way they look at Rika.”
Mark suddenly looked struck, and his eyes widened in shock, remembering what had happened.
He had been out of it for some time, so he did not realise what happened. But now that he had clearer eyes, he realised how sly Emily and Damian had been.
They took Rika with them right under his nose.
“Mark, calm down. I know you are agitated, but even you cannot deny that those alphas are better for Rika. Especially with the way she is feeling right now. I am as unhappy as you are about our circumstances, but it cannot be helped.”
Natasha placed a hand on Mark’s shoulder to calm him down, and Mark finally returned to his senses after he felt his mother’s touch.
“You are right. Of course, you are right, and I know that. But that does not mean I have to feel happy about it. Fuckkkk! I wish it would all end already. I am so tired of everything. I want Rika back. Things were much simpler when she was with us.”
Mark complained as he clutched his aching head.
His mother let out a startled laugh before collecting herself and returning to her senses.
“You are right! We do need to bring Rika back to this family. Let’s plan something to do once she is back, alright?”
