Middle Child Syndrome - Chapter 179
Chapter 179: Ch 179: Just Drop Out
“Oi! I am trying to talk to you. How dare you ignore me like this? Don’t you have any shame left in your body?”
Rika successfully wounded the male student’s ego, and he decided that he could no longer take it.
He attacked hard and fast but was untrained and needed help to hold up to Rika’s reaction speed.
Before Rika could speak, that man collided with the desk he was trying to force Rika away from and his pride felt wounded. Others immediately stepped back from Rika’s direction because they did not want to be next on her list of victims.
“Does anyone else want to try fighting me? I can put you in a similar position if you do.”
Rika looked at the small crowd in front of her.
She was sure she would be jumped any second. But the teacher arrived long before that, and she was now at the front desk.
The teacher looked sharp, and Rika knew that the teacher would judge anything she did.
So, she sat down at the table and did not move.
These people acting like bullies would mellow down when they realise Rika is from a wealthy family. It always happened like this for her.
Even if her classmates never realised which family Rika belonged to, they treated her better when she branded things.
So even though branded was only sometimes better-quality stuff, Rika was obsessed with it when she was young.
‘I will not fall into the same trap once again. But something about this teacher looks familiar. I am sure I have seen him before.’
To Rika, this professor looked like he was part of her family.
Something about that high nose and those annoying eyes screamed familiar. But Rika did not want to know why a mafia person would seek a job in a public university where the pay was shit.
“Everyone, settle down and sit. I’m not a lenient teacher, so I will not tolerate much playing around. Oi! I said sit down before I get even angrier at you all.”
The bully who was trying to get Rika to change seats looked startled.
He looked at the teacher, then back at Rika before he made up his mind.
“Excuse me, teacher! But someone so out of their seats. Didn’t you assign specific seats to us yesterday? But someone is already trying to break that pairing. Please say something regarding this to us.”
The student asked the teacher for help.
Since Rika was not listening to him, he was sure that she would listen to the teacher.
However, the teacher only looked at the student with a cold expression.
“This is a classroom, not a place for you to sit and have fun chatting with your friends. If you cannot even understand that much, then get out. Also, you all had better listen right now. Those seating arrangements were temporarily done. Just sit wherever you want to. This is not a school, and I don’t need to take care of your brats.”
The professor snapped, but he did not raise his voice even once. It made him feel even more spooky and dangerous than before.
All the students backed away, now knowing better than to go against this professor.
The first period ended fine, but the same happened during the second. But this time, the professor was much less chill, and he decided to deduce the senior’s points for trying to bully a junior.
The same thing happened a third time. I was getting frustrated by the second, and Rika began feeling annoyed by all this.
Finally, the much-needed confrontation happened during Lunch.
Rika grabbed her food and was about to leave the dining hall when someone blocked her way and gestured for her to follow him.
Her brain told Rika that she should not follow this man. He was dangerous, and he wanted to see Rika in trouble.

But Rika wanted to eliminate these people who kept hampering her. She wanted to be done with them all in one go.
So, despite her best judgement to leave this situation alone, Rika followed the senior to his table and watched two familiar faces.
“John! Now you are starting to bully beta girls like her? She is so not your type. And don’t you already have that bombshell omega already? Why bother with this one as well?”
Another senior looked Rika up and down before asking the younger-looking alpha this question.
The small group had three alphas and about a dozen people. Of the three, John looked angry, one looked uninterested as he continued to look at this phone, and the third one…. was glaring at Rika’s neck as if it had offended him.
Out of the three, the third one made Rika feel nervous.
She was sure it was just her, but it felt like that last Alpha was looking at Rika’s neck with a burning intensity.
“Tsk, I told you already! I do not like her, and I don’t want revenge because rejected methis pathetic beta rejected me. Now, you either help me out here, or I will also make your life miserable.”
John was the alpha Rika had a confrontation with during the opening ceremony, and beside him sat his girlfriend, who tried to hit on Rika’s friends (partners) in the flower shop.
The beta pretended to be the mediator and chuckled at his friend’s temper before he turned to look at Rika with a severe expression.
“You see, missy! Our little alpha here does not like you. And there is not a bright future for people he does not like. So, I will now give you a few options – you either become our subordinate, submit to us, and live a quiet life. Or, you drop out of this place and never be seen again. Which one will you choose? In my opinion, the first option is not that bad-!”
“Stop bullshitting. There is no choice to be made here. You! Drop out today before I get even angrier at you. A beta like you has no right to refuse me.
