Chapter 197: Ch 197: Help is on the way
“Hey bitch, are you trying to disobey us? Do you want to try and run away? How dare you? Where do you think you will even be able to go in your current condition?”

Rika carefully made her way behind that alpha in the valley before she attacked his vulnerable neck.

The alpha had not expected such an attack and looked caught off guard.

She did not hesitate to do the same to the second one. But this one was slightly resistant to the medicine and decided to swing back at Rika.

“Fucker! Who are you, and what are you trying to do? I will have you know that important people have my back-”

Rika hit the man in the head, which finally caused him to faint. Finally, Rika managed to take out those two alphas.

She turned to look at the omega shivering in front of her.

The man looked out of it, and his eyes were hazy. This did feel a little like an omega’s heat, but it was different than the ones Suzie had.

Rika only knew this because she often went in to hand Suzie things during her heat. As a beta, she was the only one safe enough to do so.

Not that anyone appreciated her efforts.

“Hey, are you alright? Don’t be startled. I am here to help you out. Please relax so that I can help you up.”

Rika offered before she helped the omega stand up and walk out of the alley.

As much as this omega hated to move, even his instincts realised that he was in danger and Rika was trying to help him.

The pair somehow dragged themselves toward the main road. And it happened just before one of the alphas regained their consciousness.

Once they were back in public and had protection from the crowd again, Rika decided to sit that omega down and check up on him. She was afraid that this omega was injured and needed her help.

“Would you like a tranquilliser as well? It will calm down your heat soon.”

Rika offered the small bottle to the omega, but the male hesitated to take it. It was clear that he did not feel comfortable using the medicine he had been given.

“It is fine! You don’t need to worry about a thing. Here, use it. I have more of it. You don’t even have to pay me back for it.”

At first, Rika thought the cost was a problem, so this omega was not taking the medicine she offered.

Tranquilisers cost a lot, and Rika suddenly realised she could not carry them around once she cut her family off.

But that was a problem that Rika would not head toward right now.

“I…don’t…think it is going to work. M-My heat is because of drugs…”

The omega painted these words out, but even that was taking considerable effort on his part.

It was wise of the omega not to take more drugs on his state, but Rika still did not want to leave him all alone and defenceless like this. She tried to help him out somehow.

“Alright, I understand. Is there anything I can do for you? Would you like to call someone to come and take care of you? Like a partner or someone like that?”

Rika asked, now dropping the previous topic and starting a new one. She wanted this omega to feel comfortable with her, so she offered such alternatives.

Thankfully, the omega did have someone they could call for help.

“Just wait a minute. I will call my brother. He will help me out.”

The omega assured before he made a call. He looked tense as he talked rapidly in a language Rika did not understand. But he looked relieved by the time he finished speaking.

Rika decided to stay with this omega for the time being. It was a miracle Rika managed to grab Shuu back and have the pup follow her.

It was late, and she did not want this omega to be dragged into another alley after she had saved him. So, she decided to play defence until someone came to pick this omega off.

A rowdy-looking Alpha showed up within fifteen minutes, and Rika was about to hit him when the omega moved faster and threw himself into this unknown alpha’s arms.

That assured Rika that they knew each other and would be fine now.

“It looks like you’ll be fine now. I’ll get going now. I need to get home.

Rika commented before she grabbed Shuu’s leash, and the pup began to lead her away.

She had not gone very far when the alpha spoke up.

“Hey, thank you for today. I want to repay you for this favour. Can you give me your number so that I can contact you?”

The alpha asked, and he sounded a little desperate.

Rika did consider agreeing, but a single look at the omega’s crushed expression and how he held the alpha made her change her mind and pull out of the situation.

“Sorry, but I don’t think I want to give my number to a stranger right now. I will give it to you if we meet again.”

Rika promised before she ran away.

What happened that evening was standard for what happens these days. But for some reason, Rika could not help but feel she had missed something else when she saved that omega.

“Ah, I should have called the police and reported those perverts to get them thrown in jail. Oh well! I will remember to do that next time.”

Rika decided that, but her carelessness to not deal with the alphas was a mistake.

Rika did not expect those humiliated alphas to try and take revenge on her so fast. But as soon as Rika reached an empty road with an alley, she felt someone grab her arm and pull her inside.

Shuu got dragged into the alley with her as well, and before Rika knew it, the alphas from before had her surrendered.
